I was looking at getting a car kit for the longest time and finally found one that meets my liking. The only thing is it's price ($119.95). Before I actually buy it I was wondering if anyone has any experience in this one?
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=881
Or alternatively if anyone has any other one they recommend it'll be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Just talked to the sales support at buygpsnow.com and they told me of upcoming support for the titan. Here's the link in case you want a look. They estimate shipping on the first week of Feb. You can preorder this coming monday. Price pending.

Doesn't look as good as the Seidio one though. And I rather have the built in speaker than the FM transmitter. But if it follows the same pricing, it'll cost 3 times less.
(btw. First post. I've been a master lurker. =D )

Has anybody around here ever used www.superetrader.co.uk, 'cause that's who I'm thinking of placing my pre-order with...
Alternatively, has anyone got any recommendations for where to put my name down (in the UK, preferably).
They are active over at pocketGPSworld and seem legit, although given Expansys aren't claiming to have an in-stock date I'd be a little dubious about stock coming in Wednesday.
Do let us know what you do
Gordon
Thanks Gordon.
I don't really believe the availability date, they have other HTC phones with the same date given for availability so it's probably just a general day when they receive their HTC shipments or something.
The P4550 page looks a bit out of date - a couple of the specs (GPS chip, RAM) look like they're taken from old information, so I'm guessing the availability date is a little way out as well. I've been waiting since January though, so a bit longer wont hurt.
They've got quite a good score on DealTime but I'm never sure whether to trust those sorts of sites, I'm happier listening to forum opinions, so unless I see a load of negative opinion, I'll probably go with them later this week - but I think I'll use PayPal or Google Checkout for a little extra peace of mind.
Seems they have removed the phone now as cannot see it on there site.

Another pre-order HERE
Wow $869 USD???
Is that really the price?
What if I waited and purchased it from Cingular? I'm wondering if the preorder price is so high because it's without carrier?

I used superetraders to get my ETEN M700, they were very helpful with the order (complicated with a cc registered in one country and delivery to another country). The device arrived within the time they said and the phone had had a pre-sales check - I never got any of the problems that seemd to plague others!
I can heartily recommend them!
Anyone know if Kaiser is going to be available in Australia if so when.
Well I placed my oredr with Superetrader and payment was taken straight out of my account because I (stupidly, it seems) used Google Checkout.
Google Checkout showed my P4550 as "Posted" but, as noted earlier in this thread, Superetrader then took the P4550 off their site.
A few e-mails later trying to figure out what was really going on, Superetrader have confirmed that the release date has slipped to "Hopefully late July or early August". Shame I had to pay for the thing way in advance, but I'm hopeless with money so at least I know it's paid for and will be on it's way asap.
Moral is avoid Google Checkout! I have no problem with Superetrader, but the whole process has been complicated by Google and their fledgling payment service, which clearly needs a bit of ironing out.

I bought my O2 Mini from these guys so they are very reputable.
First of all I would like to say wow! What an amazing forum. Best I've seen on anything relating to Winmo.
After seeing so much advancement at Opal development (including the recent rom for 6.5), I began thinking of getting one myself. The cheapest one I found was
$191 at gadget circle
then
$219 at TimTechs
and
$226 at Plemix
Are these deal too good to be true? Anyone have any past experience with these dealers?
Thanks!
Here in Italy I buyed it for € 250,00 about two months ago
man i wish i would have seen this sooner. i just ordered mine, 236 shipped.
oh well, just my luck. but it will be here soon so oh well.
plemix takes 10 dollars off of orders if you use the youtube10 redemtion code.
ive never really looked, or heard of gadget circle (guess i should book mark it). i have heard of timtechs
shipping prices at gadget circle dont seem right, less than 6 dollars? i dont know about that
I ordered my phone from Timtechs. It came to $250 with shipping. I ordered it very early Tuesday morning like 1 am. I got it today at 10am it was the fastest shipping ever. The phone came just as expected the box was a lil' beat up but i think that is fedex and they gave me the CDs and manuals for the touch 3G but that fine really didn't need them anyway. What they don't tell you is that it ships from Hong Kong. I wasn't till i got the fedex tracking did i see where it came from. On their site it said it was based in DE but i got my phone all the same so I don't care. Overall I have been very happy with my experience with them, and I probably would/going to order from them again. And they even gave me a niffy Timtechs sack YAY!
PS I think gadgetcircle and timtechs are the same company. their website look very similar and customer service description are the exact same. and to get a phone shipped to the US I had to order more than $400 on gadgetciricle
Sorry about that skaroger. And thanks for the tip
Good to hear that ginronin. Thanks for the input as well.
its all good man, set to be here tomorrow. and i ordered thursday.
191 is a hell of a price, especially if its true. i wouldnt pass up on that if you were thinking of purchasing one.
i already got a bunch of software ready to install when i get my phone
Has anyone else heard about or seen this new bluetooth gamepad that was just recently released, the iControlPad? It looks pretty cool... I'm sure it could be easily adjust to fit our HD2's into it. Not sure about compatibility, but I just ordered one to use when playing my PSX and SNES emulators on my HD2. I'll keep you posted on how it works when I get it. I guess you can even charge your phone off the battery in the control pad while you're using it... it's got a battery as big as the HD2.
http://www.icontrolpad.com/home
Does it work well?
oh this would be so bad ass to work with a snes emulator.
Unfortunately, I had placed my order right after they sold out of the 1st batch of 1000, and they had to wait until the 2nd batch of 1000 was produced (which took a few weeks because they made some fixes on 2nd batch), so I'm still waiting for my order to get here. Also I didn't pay extra for fast shipping, so I have regular slow international shipping. It was shipped about 2 weeks ago, so I should be getting my gamepads any day now.
Also, just so you know, they are all caught up on their shipping, so they say any new orders place will get shipped within a couple days, but if you're in the US and you don't pay the extra $25 for faster shipping, it'll take 2-3 weeks to get delivered.
But, I did have them add a 2nd gamepad to my order and it didn't cost anything extra for shipping, so once I get my order in, I'll have an extra gamepad for sale, which I can sell it to someone in the US for a few dollars less than what it would cost to order one directly from company with cheapest shipping, and I can do priority and you'd get it in a few days.
I started a thread about this gamepad here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=983160
Once I get my order delivered, I'm going to post pictures of unboxing and do a review of it using it with my HD2... so keep an eye on that thread. It should be coming soon. I'm excited.
And if you're in the US and interested in buying the 2nd gamepad off me, let me know. It would cost someone from the US $100 to order it from the manufacturer with cheapest shipping and it would take 2 or 3 weeks to deliver.... but I will sell my spare gamepad for $95 shipped, and you'll get it in a few days.
Finally got my iControlPads yesterday!!! Very nice feeling... feels solid and well built. The analog controls are awesome... I love the way they did those. I'm going to update firmware and do full review with pictures using it with my HD2... hopefully do it over weekend and post review sun or mon. I'll post here with link to the thread in the General Accessories section where I'm gonna post the review.
It was well work the money and wait for this gamepad.
This subject has been approached in the other forums, but I was interested to hear what Incredible S owners think.
HTC make their own desktop cradle, that in the UK will run you the staggering sum of 50 notes...
Because I'm a new user I can't post a link, but you'll see what I mean if you Google it.
Has anyone got one? Is it worth it? Copies start around £15, so why would you spend such bank on what amounts to a piece of plastic with a USB cable running through it?
So am I to believe NO ONE has bought it?
I think that in itself answers my question! And there was me getting all overzealous and creating a poll.
I WOULD be interested, but I have no plans on keeping my Incredible S past January 2012 so there's really no point in me spending extra for accessories that I'm just gonna have a hard time selling back out.
I bought one off eBay for 2.20, does the job well and has a slot for charging a spare battery. The official one is far too steep
Anybody use it with the z2? Heard it not great with z1, but wonder if updates and an updated phone help.
Just bought it last night at Best Buy. Funny story.. I went to look for it because my wife and I are going on vacation next week. Normal price was for $299. This Best Buy I was at happened to have one left in stock. When I called the employee over to take it out of the glass cabinet, I saw it on sale for $229. I asked him, is this for real!? He looks at it, takes it to his supervisor, and they sell it to me for $229. Come to find out that was the Black Friday sale price, and no employee ever bothered to take it down. How hilarious that it had been there for over a month and I happened to be the lucky soul that got it at that price.
Anyway, I'll happily report my findings here when I get to it!
I think you are mistaken. In available stores it has been $225 for a while now.
(I cant post links as I am new member but look up bestbuy website)
I bought mine before Christmas along with 2 other mods and got an additional 25% off. I think that offer too is still available now.
I have it now. The zoom does work well. The flash really helps in low light.
Some times a pain to use it again after going to another app or review pictures as it closes.
Got it new off eBay for 200. Still to much if you ask me.
I have it. It's decent and zoom works great for kids sporting events... Processing and quality still isn't as good as Samsung or pixel or iPhone...
