Anybody outhere has this one?
It seems nice and comfortable...

I ordered a couple of silicon cases but they are yet to arrive... I'll let you know.
Ok, got the Silicon Cases... First thing, it is a pretty thick silicon case (I have seen much thiner ones for other phones) and makes the phone quite a bit bigger when fitted. I think the slide requires the sides to be pretty thick...
that said, my old Wizard started to look pretty rough after a couple of years. I think I will stick with the case.
any chance of a few decent pics of it fitted to the dual

It seems that unfortunately there's no other manufacturer for this kind of product for Dual...
I don't think the aluminium one could be better..
http://cgi.ebay.com/PDair-Aluminium...ryZ15036QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And the leather one is horrible..
The wife has ditched the Silicon case (and my Touch Dual is still awaiting replacement - due to slider gap problem) but I might try and put it back on and get some photos.
Anyone tried one of these for either this or another device??

Wow...this is one of the best i've seen...
Maybe a little bit expensive...and not so esay to install...
Any other manufacturer of this kind of product?
I haven't seen it on ebay for Touch dual...
I have found a couple. Some only do iPod's...
This one does HTC Touch but no Dual yet (I have emailed them to ask if and when it would be avaialble).

I thought someone out there may have used one of these on an ipod or other PDA and might offer an opinion before I purchased?
Actually... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333707&highlight=invisibleshield
Thank you very much CAM77 for providing these informations...
I'm actually waiting for the silicon case but actually don't think I'll get the invisible shield...I read quicky a few comments and was a little bit disappointed hearing that sometimes small parts are missing and corners are not covered...
has anyone seen anything like these availablke in the UK?
http://event.ruten.com.tw/htc20071108/
i have the invisible shield on my ipod and it is fantastic. does not degrade the touch wheel at all and protects the entire device. i will likely get it for my touch dual as well. it's worth every cent.
the touch doesnt have a glossy finish.. its more of a rubbery feel. will it not ruin this?

my guess is that it'll probably take away from the rubbery feel a bit. but it will protect the device really well. if you want to retain the rubbery feel, you can just get the screen protector for it.
Case makes the phone bigger thats for sure but i like it because helps me understand when the touch screen ends (helpfull for scrolling).

Im looking at either getting the nice leather case, the official HTC one "Diamond Pouch PO S390" (seen in this thread here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403691) or this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-Touch-Dia...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262
Anyone got a crystal case for their Touch Diamond? If so whats it like?
Im looking to protect my Diamond as I know how easy to scratch and mark they are (its doing ok at the moment but id like to keep it protected and looking like new)
Thanks, any feedback would be appreciated
I got one yesterday ( for $15 CDN ==" since i didn't want to wait for shipping)
from what i've seen so far
Seems like a great case, it is a tight fit for the diamond, so there are some worries with regards to upgrading the battery in the future....
But aside from that, it does its job of protecting my diamond and the change in dimensiosn is barely noticeable to me.
Moderators Could you move this to Diamond Accessories please, sorry, thought I had posted it in there, but hadnt.
Thanks for the feedback, sounds positive, I want to get a leather case, but at the same time its nice if i can just use it rather than get it out of the leather case to use it.
Mmm, food for thought!
yse mods please move the thread ^^"
i was contemplating the leather case as well before...
the benefit to the hard case is that its as it doesn't make it more difficult to access the phone and you dont need to take it out of the case to do anything
the only pet peeve i have with my case is that the power button on the top left is now a bit harder to press due to the case
just my 2 cents
Most of the crystal cases i have come across are dust magnets...so that puts me off them. Ive ordered the pouch today from Expansys...the official one although i have to wait 3 days before they come into stock..
Had one of these plastic cases on a samsung phone - the case cracked after a few days Lets hope these are different
One reason why im staying off silicon/crystal cases is so that I could enjoy the flushed screen.
Strange.. U guys don't seem to find it a luxury to have a flushed screen. I love it as I don't need to finger-wrestle in order to tap the 'X' button...
MasK, thats a very good point! I know what you mean there, very frustrating.
Mmm, think im just gonna opt for the Leather Case. Think I would just get frustrated with the Crystal Case.
Thanks for your feedback and comments guys.
Slightly off topic...
But do you think somebody (HTC or after-market company) will produce a soft touch / matt finish rear cover for the Diamond? I mean, its an easily replaceable, small piece of plastic and would protect (or hide) fingerprints and make it less scratchy if its soft?
Just a though... if any external companies looking it at, I'll pay £2.99 for a rip off soft touch back cover on eBay from Hong Kong

New Horizontal Leather Case for the HTC Advantage X7510, X7501, & X7500 by NUTSHELL
New Horizontal Leather Case for the HTC Advantage X7510, X7501, & X7500 by NUTSHELL
Nutshell: http://tuff-as-nuts.com/index.asp?PageAction=COMPANY
I had contacted Nutshell regarding a customized Horizontal Case (black) that will fully enclosed the HTC Advantage X7510 with the leather pouch included about 2 months ago. I was able to get intouch with Ian Miller and was basically received with open arms. I was asked to submit my design and the dimensions.
The dimensions are: 5.8 inches (lenght) x 4.4 inches (height) x 1.30 inches (depth).
It is closed by a velcro flap that fully covers the top of the case preventing any accidental exposure to the elements.
The back of the case has the D ring and metal belt clip lined with leather. But in all honesty, I think it would have looked better if the metal clip was left without the leather strip cover. It would looked nicer if the silver finish of the metal clip was shown rather than hidden.
But all in all, the case is very well made. The stitches and cuttings were done right and very clean. The case will protect the X7510 and it's leather pouch while having the ability to clip it to your belt or trousers on the go.
I paid $95.00 for the case, but it may become cheaper if it will be popular.
I have attached pictures for you guys and gals to check. I believe NUTSHELL will mass produce them if the demand is high enough.
THANK YOU NUTSHELL (Ian) for a case well done.
Feel free to ask questions...

nice find as i just bought myself another case but this one i like a lot better although the case i bought was only $49
Thanks Christian. Glad to help.
As this was a prototype, we have not yet given it a part number...but we shall and then post it to our catalog.
With your blessing I"ll use some of the images you have posted here.
Obviously we shall try to price it right, but as the first few will, like this one, be hand cut, pricing will have to stay the same in the short term.
However, if there is an interest (and it has to be considerable to make it worthwhile, we'll likely look at getting the assets that will enable us to run off some volume).
That said, it really is over to the community to determine if this product gets wings...or....?
A suggestion: Maybe someone could open a book to register interest (bulk purchases work best and enable us to finetune our pricing). As I am not a regular on this forum, maybe that someone could run point for me on this.
So it really is over to you guys.
We'll do what we can.
All the best.

Nutshell,
Very well taken pictures indeed. Looks like real good quality pouch. Is it made to custom sizes? I normally carry my device without the keyboard, so it is quite a bit thinner and smaller. What would be the total cost shipped to Australia?
Also, a question for cktlcmd. Currently, I have a soft pouch, and taking it out is easy, as I can squeeze the soft pouch to push out the device. With a hard leather one, I imagine it is not easy to squeeze the bottom to force the device upward, so one would have to lift it up. Would that be easy? Or would the device be too slippery for that, even that I carry it naked?

In my case, since it also houses the X7510 with keyboard and the leather case, it is not slippery at all. It is easy to grab it on top and just pull it out. The case itself is not made of really hard leather plus it is lined inside with felt like skin to protect the device from being scratched by the case itself. The technique I use to get it out fast is to pull on top and press each sides of the case because that is where I notice the greatest hold on the device occurs.
In your case, since you will probably want Nutshell to adjust the measurements to accommodate just the device, it won't even be a problem because of the soft felt lining, it will just slid easily in and out.
It trully is a nice case. I wish they had designed it like this from the start.

I have listed the product for the x7510 in our catalog:
Horizontal belt case for HTC x7510
Sure, we can make you a slimmer horizontal case.
Costs would be the same.
We would need the dimensions without the keyboard.
Shipping to Oz from NZ depends on how quickly you would want one.

Will the 7510 case also fit the 7500/7501? My understanding is that they are the same dimensions... Anyone know offhand?
Thanks for the topic
Have anyone ever seen a vertical case for X7500 for the use without the external keyboard?
This is a bit off-topic, but personally I find the HW keyboard to be the ultimate screen-protector and would not dream of leaving home without it (even though I use my Advantage in portrait-mode 95% of the time).
On-topic again I would guess that one could use any case made for the 7510 WITH keyboard as this unit is just a bit thinner than the original 7500/7501.

No. The keyboard is the most effective way to ruin your device with scratches. Take it away if you want your unit to look new all the time. If you really must have the keybaord, put a piece of cloth between the unit and the keyboard to prevent them from rubbing against each other.
We have different experiences then eaglesteve. I have used my HTC X7500 for well more than a year with the original book cover (with the 3 clips) and have only miniscule scratches on the keyboard itself, not on the main unit.
I now also have the Piel Frama Case (since a month ago) and with this case it would be even more difficult to scratch the unit with the keyboard.
And even if this was NOT the case I would much rather have endured a scratch or two than having my screen broken due to a fall or pointed item pressing against it (even in the pouch). The solid steel of the keyboard over the screen gives me an ease of mind I will not trade for the sake of a marginally smaller "package" to carry around.
And now, with the vertical Nutshell-Pouch I hope to enjoy my Advantage X7500 for a long time since no better device (for my needs) seems forthcoming from HTC or any other manufacturer.
I agree with eaglesteve - I've had more scratches/rub-marks from the keyboard than from anything else. Keeping the keyboard as a screen protector is a non-issue, just make sure the screen faces towards your body when its in a pouch, or in a pocket. On the weekends I leave my Nutshell and the keyboard at home, and just face the screen towards my leg in my pocket.

finally after many, many tries, a case that really works. well made. beautiful. sturdy. i got the mag lock. very nice, highly recommended.
Well... I just order mine from Spain... 10/14 days to wait... will see. I'm risk 99.95 USD on it.
I just receive the confirmation email... good signal, my VISA still works.
Received last week.
Well finished... and the quality is according the price.
The X7500 fits perfectly even with it's case. Since I'm not placing the X7500 in the case with the original one there is place for my backup battery.
Great job Nutshell
This case is nice! But I always wanted a case that would allow me to hold my X7500 without the keyboard,so it would look like a slim and supersized-screen IPOD! That I can put into my pocket easily..like an IPOD.
So, I have a question for Nutshell: can you build us one? But I can someone here volunteer to provide some dimentions for an X7500 or X7501, coz I really sucked at the whole designing and measurement thing, afraid I would screw up the whole thing.
Hey guys, I was just about to purchase this case but then started wondering if it would adversely affect my signal strength so I thought I would jump on here and see if any of you have used an aluminum case and what the results were...
Thanks for any info, you guys rock!
It has a very good possibility of affecting the signal since the antenna will have a clunk of metal around it. But I dont have any first hand knowledge. Why not just get a plastic case. They effect it less.
I really want a case that has a door with a window on it..do you know of any plastic one?
Anyone else have any experience with aluminum cases?
Perhaps I am a pioneer in the area of aluminum cases and the HTC Mogul...or perhaps no one is paying attention to this thread because it's posted in the wrong area. I don't suppose an admin could move this over to the accessories sub forum could they.
Aside from this, where is the antenna located in the mogul? I'm thinking that if I do end up with signal issues I will cut slits the length of the antenna in the case.
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds pretty cool, can you link us to the particular case mentioned? Other than that I have no experience with metal (aluminum is considered a metal for the banterers) cases either. Personally I would stick to plastic, but sounds neat.
There's a link to it in the first post, but here it is again.
I've been walking around with an ipaq 2215 for the last 5 years with an aluminum case and that thing has saved my life on many occasions.
The plastic would be ok too I think, but only if I could find one that had a door that closed over the screen..
Who do you think I should talk to to get this moved over into accessories? I didn't even realize there was an accessories category when I posted this..

That case is awesome. I really like it. Interested to see if it ruins the signal quality, or possibly enhance it lol I dont know.. It looks properly designed, I am sure the manufacturer took the antenna location into consideration. I would go for it. Let me know how it works out, hopefully by then one is still available. I can grab one myself.
I will have this moved for you.
Thanks for getting this moved for me Ryan..yeah, I think I'm going to purchase the case within the next few days unless someone pipes in with a negative review.
In the meantime, does anyone know where the antenna is located in the 6800?
Thanks for any help!
So, I came in here to bump the thread up one more time before I bought the case, but it was still at the top...doesn't seem like people are too concerned about Titan accessories any longer
I guess 150 views is enough though, I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy.
Will update once I've tested in the low signal areas that I frequent.
I had the exact same case for my xv6700 and never had any signal issues. The case worked well and kept my 6700 looking brand new!
I really liked the lexan screen cover.
I tried the seidio rubberized case for my titan. it worked awesome for about 10 months until the little tiny tabs that held it on broke off. Only a 90 day warrenty so SOL. Now I use a cudora pouch.
So let me know how the aircraft aluminum one fits!!
That's great to hear! I'm going to order it tonight and maybe upload some pics when I get it..
hi conradcliff
dont forget test review the case (how about the look, size etc) and upload the pict, i want to buy also, but it seems need 2 week to deliver it to my country

Initial Review: Monaco Aluminum Case for Mogul/6800
Short answer: A well designed, sturdy case well worth the ~ $20 price. I'll add some photos soon. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes who intended to write one of these up, but hey, two opinions are better than one!
I've had three of these cases for three separate Sprint 6800's. Two black, one silver. For those familiar with Monaco Aluminum Cases (they made/make these for other phones, such as the 6700), this embodiment is just as good.
Pros:
Very solid design - this case can easily outlast the life of your phone. Aside from slight exterior discoloration, dings, and scratches, this case should easily withstand all normal, day-to-day use.
Inner liner - this case includes an inner liner made of neoprene that protects the phone from minor scratch/abrasion marks; that provides a very snug fit for the phone; and provides *minimal* fall protection. Two-story drops and projectile usage by angry girlfriends are not protected.
Access - the case provides access to all buttons, dials, interfaces (except for touch screen & slide-out KB). Luckily, almost all functionality of this phone can be effectuated without the touch screen (not the TP, grrrr), so you will not have to open the case too often, which is very nice. When you do open the case, the keyboard slides over the open top of the case nicely.
Vents (Air/Signal) - there are vents on the top, back, and right side of the case for air and/or signal paths. I've experienced no signal difference, or even heat difference, with this case. I'm sure it does insulate the phone to some degree, but it's minimal.
Belt Clip - the case comes with a belt clip and swivel that are relatively secure and convenient. I've had one belt clip split (the plunger portion), but it is still very usable. You don't have to use them, but I do. The round swivel that screws into the back of the case provides a nicer grip of the phone, IMHO. If you don't like either, you don't have to use them.
Cons:
Weight - it does add weight to your phone. It's not extreme, but holding the phone for extended periods of time may prove annoying by some with this extra weight. I don't mind it at all, and I have a headset and use speakerphone anyhow.
User Adjustment Required - Out of the box, this case is NOT ready to use! You absolutely must gauge how well the metal clip engages the main body of the case. Every case I've received required me to slightly bend the clip inwards to provide a stronger hold. If the hold is too weak, brushing against the side of the case (by your arm when walking with the case attached to your waist side, or by anything you may brush against) can result in your phone falling out to the ground. So, adjust the clip right away, and ALWAYS, periodically check it, as repeated opening may loosen the hold over time. Also, when wearing this case attached to the side of your hip, attach it to your left side so the metal clip and catch of the case are facing behind you. This way, brushing against something while you're walking will not accidentally open your case allowing your phone to drop out.
Plastic Cover - this cover can scratch. I tried placing a screen protectors over it, but they would never stay. The oil from your face/hands/etc, along with the lack of a frame protecting the edges of a protector from friction are mostly to blame. However I've learned that with a little care, the plastic screen can survive everyday use quite nicely.
So, I highly recommend this case!!

For any one who likes their Case Mate cover on their iPod and other products, you might find that the current HD2 cover by Case Mate DOES NOT fit the TMO-US model which is 1.5mm different. Hi all, here is a little warning from me and Beards, who purchased the Case-mate barely there silver chrome for out international HD2.
I already returned this case. It was really a bad experience. Although it looks very nice, thin, save the slim design for HD2, unfortunately, it was a nightmare to take the phone out of the case. If you want to take the phone out often, or you are the type that like to change case once a few days like me, or worse if your HD2 crashes or hang and you have to do a soft reset with pen, you really shouldnt buy this case. For the first time I put my phone into the case, and near 10' to take it out, it also nearly scratched all 4 rubber corners of my HD2. If I continue using this case, my beloved HD2 going to be just like the pics in Nightfire123 review, really terrible.
I really recommend not buy this case, if you dont want your lovely HD2 get scratches.
And here is Beard's opinion through our PM:
"When I received my case I was away abroad and it was my daughter who said she thought the case was marvelous.
However, since coming back home and having now tried the case I agree completely, it's an absolute nightmare to take off (only found this out the other day when I had to remove the case from the phone).
Only be grabbing one of the sides and pulling it really hard did I 'eventually' manage to prize it from the phone.
I shan't be returning the case as my daughter threw away all the packaging and it didn't cost a great deal.... I shall however keep the case so that I can use it to experiment against other cases."
U can check this thread from Nightfire123 to see how it will scratch your HD2 after using for a while

Your opinion is exactly what I like to see and I greatly appreciate your input!!! You make a very good point; there is no soft reset access from the front of the device. Also, the memory card is also not accessible. I'm agreeing with you; maybe I don't want this case.....Buuuuuut, if they did make changes for fitting TMOUS HD2, and take customer complaints on the design into account, the new design may be as to improve on the errors of the previous. Hey, I'm an optimist.
