I know it's a Cingular rom, but can someone post a generic unbranded version of it? or do I need to wait for the manufacturers(Dopod, QTek, etc..) for that?

Please a plain Vanilla Version...
I love the customizations but I think many would appreciate a plain vanilla version also.
I remove Cyberon Voice Dialer (using MS Voice Command instead)
I also don't install Smart Dialer as I prefer the ETEN Dialer.
Infact, I'm currently using NO Offical Cingular Cabs on my phone!
It would be great to have the Dot Net CF 2 included in this ROM and the NoCert fix for unsigned cabs. Maybe even adobe Acrobat Reader.
When it comes to things like "Real close on click X" there are so many good ones and we each have our preference that it just muddies the water when you include them. (I use HandySwitcher from Dinarsoft, good deal for $5).
As for things like Smartskeys and Omap Overclocker, the versions are bound to change so it would be better to leave them out as well... Until the Ext_ROM can be truely unlocked on 2.x ROMS.

in 12-15 hours from riiiight abooout now.
I meed to work out some oddities with the reported rom versions and look through the cab files that came with this thing.
as far as benefits, in its bare state it feels more responsive. and then there's the clock back on top thing which is important to some folks. more details coming soon.

that is the smartphone version NOT the ppc version. there is NO real video or else for ppc version...

we'll see once the chef's start integrating the new os if the speed hype is for real, honestly thats all i'm looking for. oh and if it's not too much to ask i'd like my left softkey to go back to "new" in messaging like WM5. i could care less for individual message delete as clearing a whole folder does the trick for me =)

Of course the PPC version will be better-looking since PPCs are better than smartphones.

Pretty sure its going to be a whole new rom, as i dont think ive ever seen a point "upgrade" for windows mobile os. This will definately entail flashing a new image and all existing data will need to be backed up beforehand.

Please excuse me if this has been told already, i know alot of winmo 6.5 threads floating but i haven't had a chance to surf around since i've been moving and my internet won't be up till the end of the month (bastards!)
I was at an event at work today, there was a microsoft rep that had a raphael with winmo 6.5 fully working..
Seems to be pretty slick from playing with it for about 20-30 minutes
I know the touch pro 2 will be shipping with this pre-installed.
Black bars seem to be installed, the main screen offers features of an "overview" style and when you hit the windows button you get the honeycomb that i'm sure you've seen screenshots of. I'm asking to see if they can swing me the beta copy but i know it is only internally microsoft.

Yeah... There are WM6.5 roms and kitchens you can download for the Touch Pro. Been out for a while now

I'm waiting for the final release, I just can't take the risk of running beta OS on my phone (Even if it is WinMo 6.5)

That's interesting to hear that Microsoft has 6.5 working on the Raphael without the need of xda developers. I thought an official 6.5 ROM from Microsoft wasn't going to be released for the TP1?

the latest build 21189 is very much considered stable. i haven;t found any fault with them after running for a week with all my daily applications like GPS,Wifi or bluetooth. camera is usable and even the 7MPX panaroma hack for tp camera works. although tf3d is not stable on it, u'll grow to love the new chome platform of the new wm6.5...to be honest, i won;t think of going back to tf3d.

According to this article at engadget, phones currently on the market (as of Feb 16) will not get an official 6.5 update:

That's cool you got your hands on a WM6.5 raphael though, hope they do decide to release it!

i have 6.5 on mine. i dont really consider it beta since it doesnt say beta. i think its more early build. there are really recent builds of 6.1 and i dont think you can tack labels like beta or final or release candidate on them because they are not pay for or anything and they are constantly having newer versions. it may not be announced or preloaded on new phones yet but its here, has all the features, and its quite stable.

What can I say... Wow...

Hi there, i tried your Rom last night and just a couple of things i noticed that seem to be popping up in a few of these cooked roms...
my Gwes.exe started around 13mb and over night jumped up to 32mb, this is from a fresh install, nothing installed and hard resetted....
Your lockscreen at first fine then eventually displayed the classic only half screen cover issue...
other then that everything worked perfect though i wish total commander was unisntallable...

yeah, I know about lockscreen Its made to skin the 230xx ++ builds withe the new 6.5 GUI (big buttons etc) it works better there, but they still have some work to do on that.
Rom is using ram/xip diffrently then most other roms, use more memory, but increase speed in many operations.

i understand that because it uses modules over .dll however the ram does rise over 32mb and eventually the system just became totally unresponsive until a softreset...

hm, I have not experienced same thing, I have not had to reset all day..but I guess it depends on usage
Im just flashing this rom with new 23041, lets see if it works better

are you considering a newer build of 6.5 n manil 2.1 since we all know 2.5 is too unstable for everyday use

Just want to say that all your ROMS look truely excellent....I was wondering can you recommend a previous build which may not look as good as your latest stuff but is more stable and doesnt freeze up on the odd occassion??

never seen any 6.5 builds that is completly stable...errr...btw, never seen ANY winmo versions that are stable man...its micosoft

If you want stable, then 6.1 builds would be better

[ROM] [WM6.5] [WWE] [GSM] - v0.2 Semi-Public Beta Released

People who have enjoyed my Tilt and Fuze ROMs in the past/present, have asked that I continue to release GSM-based ROMs for the Rhodium, even though I have switched to Verizon Wireless.
Now that the Tilt2 is out, and I have the shipped ROM to work with (thanks herg62123), my first release is probably around 1 week away. The purpose of this thread in it's current state is to ask for volunteers to test a couple pre-release versions since I am not able to. Eventually, once some funds free up, I will purchase a GSM Touch Pro2 (AT&T/T-Mobile/Unbranded) for future hands on testing.
Initially, there will be 4 varieties released.
AT&T Shipped (-bloat)
HTC Shipped (-bloat)
AT&T WM6.5 23xxx OS
HTC WM6.5 23xxx OS

Of course I underestimated the sheer size of this task when sitting here without a GSM device to test with, but I'm making steady progress.
v0.1: First release to a handful of testers.
v0.2: First release to anyone willing to test the ROM and assist with finding bugs.
I don't have a changelog ready yet, so I ask that you poke around and see how everything looks. Hopefully I figured out the installation of CAB files on first boot. If you do not have a 4x6 WM Start Menu after flashing, then I haven't yet.
