thanks, but i want to know is the best efficiency for kaiser,
not for all models...
it works fine but still uses the speaker on the back, but you can plug your hands free and it work through there instead.
Try a search on Skype in this forum. You;'ll find plenty of detailed help on which version to install on the Kaiser and how to get the sound to work thru a headset (both of which are different than it was for the Hermes).
Dear all,
After installing SipConfigTool.cab and WM6VoIP.cab on my HTC P4550, I finally made it work in front of a SIP server and managed to talk with another phone.
Nevetheless, the audio is rendered by the rear speakerphone (the one normally used for handsfree rendering) and not by the front one (the one used for regular phone usages, on top of the screen). Of course, I checked that I wasn't in handsfree mode, what makes me suspecting a wrong routing of the audio flow in the WM6VoIP client, that's to say the Ms standard one.
Does any of you had the same experience?
Please don't tell me to turn the P4550 to the other side to use VoIP
Thanks and regards
PP

This is a known issue/limitation of WM. No programs can re-route audio to the "usual" earpiece speaker. It can only go out thru:
1. rear speaker (as you found out)
2. a wired headset
3. a bluetooth headset if using A2DP profile (like for music-listeing for sterao BT headphones)
4. a bluetooth headset if using a small program called BTAudio or BTToggle, which reroutes the rear speaker sound of a program to almost any BT headset.
This has been most commonly noticed by Skype users - who have the same problem using Skype for WM.
The "fix", or better yet "workaround" would be the same for you as it would be for Skype users. Search this forum for Skype, and you will find your answer and links to do option #4 above, which is generally regarded as the best workaround, besides #2.
The issue with #1 is it causes a bad echo to the person you called.
Actually, I was able to quickly find the right post for the workaround:

read that for how to do #4. Read the whole thread for other background info.
The weird thing is: i installed Dutty_s_Tilt_TouchFlo_Rom_beta.zip which i downloaded 28-nov-2007. This ROM worked perfectly with VOIP through the front speaker. Because i did not really like this ROM (no offence) i now reinstalled my old ROM. Which is the default-installed ROM. I installed the "TNT VOIP" and the sound is coming from the rear speaker.
I guess someone has been able to get the WM6-VOIP tool working with the front speaker. Could this person perhaps create a CAB so that we can also use this.
Would be great.
Thanks.
I am using voip on Kaiser with Dutty's Touchflo ROM. Got it set up with voip.com and the call quality is lousy (choppy, jitter, etc.). It's about the same whether I use wifi or 3g. Any recommended solution for this? I know my broadband wifi connection is good since I use the softphone from my laptop over wifi with execellent results. Would trying a different codec help? Also, I can't hear any ringing on my end when I place a call. Anyone else have these issues?

Has anyone else tried this pack without the language pack? and confirm that native VOIP works using the front speaker.
thanks

How was the audio quality while speaking through the front speaker? Have you been able to work it out with the cooked ROM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508715
has anyone tried Portsip on a touch pro std rom?
its the first voip software i have used that send the audio to the front speaker.
only problem i have is that i have to put the setting in very time it loads
just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Hey guys
Does anyone have WM6 VOIP working with the diamond earpiece (as opposed to the back loud-speaker?) I would love to use VOIP but Im not interested in something thats not seamless. I understand there is some software out there to compensate for the no-earpiece-sound-problem, but I don't want an add on, I want the original sw to work properly, so I can do things like, use the speakerphone toggle.
Anybody?
thanks in advance!
Hi folks, I had a search but didn't find anything conclusive.
Had my Nexus One for a few months now and although it isn't my main phone I am having some issues with the microphone when I do use it.
It seems to sometimes not work and others it does. However, if I put it on loudspeaker it works all the time. From what I have gathered, there are 2 microphones that get used on the one so I could be having an issue with one not working?
Also when it does work, it is very quiet or soft.
Does anyone know if I need a new microphone or if there is a fix I can do without buying a new part. If a new part is needed, does anyone know somewhere on the web where I can buy one?
Thanks,
Fraser
