Another question:
I'm currently using the HTC Home plugin and allready configured it so
that it only displays the 1st Tab (the time, sms, email, calls), but I was wondering
if there is a way to remove that -now useless- little home icon on the bottom?
(on a default htc home you see that home icon, weather icon, programs icon, etc)

If you only need clock, sms, phone, email ...
... sue abtterystatus with theme.....
it is the same and only takes a little space instead of wasting space like HTC does.
just have a look at my todayscreen in "Post your Todayscreen" thread

I actually created a battery status theme similar to what your describing. When I get home tonight, I'll post the files and instructions on installation.

For some reason the firmware I had been using on my tilt messed up badly so I reflashed today with the recent stock at&t rom linked on here.
Ive put 2-3 different versions of the htc home plugin cab but all i get is the little bar with battery meter and comm manager etc, no clock or weather tab or anything.
what am i doing wrong??
There's the HTC Home PLUGIN which is the small bar with anywhere from 4-9 icons (shortcuts). Then there's HTC Home (not plugin) that is ALSO a Today screen plugin which has your tabs and weather and whatnot... nice naming, huh? The HTC Home Plugin is pretty small. HTC Home is around 2MB
Found this:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-htc-home-plugin-v1-0.html
Which is probably what you want, but it's named HTC Home Plugin too >.<

How do I make my homescreen look like this with the sunshine button for weather colored and all my other icons color, now they are all black and grey?
htc home customizer, with that you can
-download skins such as the one displayed in the image
-change clocks
-change transparency
-etc
Yes, but doesnt customizer have problems like when you click email on home tab it takes you to sms/mms not email, and I have HTC home plugin already on device, will customizer work?

HTC Home just brings up tmail.exe in whatever mode it was already running in.

it should, but if it does not download htc home 6 and reinstall it on device. should work then
Does anyone know how to completely remove the icons at the bottom of the htc home plugin?
I have tried to get rid of them in the today settings and using home customiser and the closest I can get is everything gone but the home icon and when i hit it it does nothing.
HTC Home Flaw....
I believe that is as far it will let you go...
Try Pocket Digital Clock instead. http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/pdc
Get The Latest HTC Home Customizer, in the ICONS download section, there's an Icon set called transparent. No Icons at the bottom at all

Transparent will work but you don't gain any Today Screen real estate..
Code:
Use 6 Tabs with htc home :
You need to edit your registry to get our music tab back,
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome
Add new string,
Tabsetting = 1,2,3,4,5,6
You can change the order of the numbers to sort the tabs how you like
1 = Clock tab
2 = Favorite People tab
3 = Weather tab
4 = Launcher tab
5 = Music tab
6 = Profiles tab
If you clear the tabsetting, maybe then they are gone

I have the latest HTC HOME CUSTOMIZER and I don't see any Transparent option there.
Or is there an even newer version?

I thought that there was a v1.05beta out there as well. I've used both and I don't like the V1.05b version because in order for you to see what the changes look like, you have to exit the program.
Ok, so I wanted a better email app than the stock MIUI one, and everyone keeps recommending K9 mail. Thing is, I hate the app icon for it. I worked out that I should be able to use Desktop Visualizer to create a shortcut on the desktop which points to K9, but uses another icon.
Thing is I can create a widget using DV (Long press on screen, select DVwidget etc), however I can't place widgets in the launcher bar. I tried opening the DV app and trying to create a shortcut that way, but when I hit 'Ok' to complete the operation, nothing happens. It just returns to the homescreen and no shortcut is created.
To further complicate things I have had this work once. It just randomly appeared on the desktop a few minutes after creating it, and I was able to move that into the launcher. Now I want to change the icon (again) but as you can see, I'm not having much luck.
Am I missing something here? I know MIUI doesn't have shortcuts on it's desktop, but if that was the case I don't see how I could have got it to work at all?
Any thoughts?

Yeah, i'm thinking how an app icon can invoke such a strong emotion as hate for it. Could we get a screenshot? Share the hate
I do agree that the icon is kinda ugly .
That is a terrible icon ...

What i would suggest (this is what i used to do while using MIUI), is to use an application called "App Drawer" meant specially for MIUI.
Link t=1154299http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154299
it is only as it states, an app drawer like all regular android phones.
This way you will have a dedicated app drawer & this will help in not cluttering up your home screens.
All icons on your home screen can be inserted into a single folder as these are the actual apps & not shortcuts.
Deleting would mean uninstalling.
so use the app drawer, send the shortcuts to your home screen & use any app for changing the icon like the ones inbuilt in ADW, Nova launchers.
...or you could just swap out the k9 icon for one you like. Use a theme (or make a blank one if you're fond of default) and theme the app name icon with a mail icon (or any icon) you think is nice
theme mtz - icons folder - use a .png and name it com.fsck.k9.apk
(if that doesn't work, the real app name is com.fsck.k9-1.apk)

Awesome siggy
For every app I install from Play Store, it also puts an app on the home screen. It is a mess. I'd rather start with a blank slate and copy the icons I want on the home screen (as well as make folders).
I can't seem to figure out how to remove the icon. I found the options to rename the icon or uninstall, but I can't find an option to simply remove the icon.
Appreciate any guidance on this. I know I could switch to Nova or something, but I'd like to stick to the Rog launcher if I can.
Drag the icon to the top of screen - there should be a delete/ "X" in top area of screen (might turn red if dragged to correct area) - should then be able to delete the icon (I am on Nova, but I think stock launcher worked this way).

I actually like the Asus launcher as well. It kinda grew on me. So long press on home screen, preference, then look for this option. "Add icon to home screen". Don't have it checked. You can also lock the home screen as well.
