i saw it on amazon and i'm not entirely confident that it will work with the mogul...i'm positive the $20 2gb microSD's will work, but it'd be nice to have double the memory without carrying anything extra around.
there's also a microcenter very near me with some generic 2gb microSD's for about $25...
what do you think?
you can get it cheaper off ebay i think.
i thought it was like $60 on amazon too. it has been CONFIRMED that the 4GB microsd by sandisk DOES in fact work with the mogul, so you shouldn't be too worried about buying it. I myself don't see the point in having to pay for that much extra storage. I got my 2gb card for $9 from buy.com.
thanks, i was thinking the same thing. my old wizard's 2gb minisd was never completely full; there was no point, it would've run out of battery before i got through half of the media. i'm guessing that i'll go with the 2gb microsd. i'm still VERY impressed with the size of the 4gb card...it's like a fingernail!
I grabbed a 4gb microsd off ebay for $60 + 9$ shipping.. came in 4 days and it works great... It's a sandisk microsdhc - and came with a usb reader.
It was from this guy -

I just bought a scandisk sealed 4 gb microSD from Amazon for $69. I have seen a lot of posts spread across several forums sharing that their 4 gb cards they bought from eBay were scams as they would only hold up to 2 gb of data.

$81 for a Sandisk 6 GB MicroSDHC at Amazon.
Received less than 24 hours after ordering (live in Boston and shipped from NYC).
Got the Sandisk 6gb microsd from Amazon for $75 shipped.
You can get the Sandisk 4gb for about $50 shipped from Ebay or Amazon.

Works like a champ!
Not all phones that can take Micro sd are SDHC compatable, SDHC works with WM6 not WM5 and it's also hardware related too.
The Sandisk 4gb works great with the Mogul, even though htc said maximum 2gb microsd cards, there have been a couple of problems reported with other brands of cards, so Sandisk is the one to get on a Mogul. any other brand may give you problems later on.

Newegg also has a kingston for $25 (including minisd and sd card adapters), and a sandisk for about 35...
Personally, I prefer kingston, but that's just me.
I found the best deals on Ebay...
And you can run the SDHC Patch to use cards larger than 4GB on the Titan/Mogul/6800
Works great I have a 8GB card in my phone and love it! The entire North America map from Garmin with tons of room to spare!
How about this one:

Compatibility with SDHC 4GB: 4GB SDHC are designed for devices that are compatible with the SDHC 2.0 specifications. The SDHC logo on the packaging is to ensure compatibility. Please check with your device manufacturer for their current/future supported SDHC devices.
Will it work with a mogul 6800?
Holy smokes, I just picked up a 4GB Kingston MicroSD with SD adapter for $34 at my regular computer supplier.

and this is SanDisk not some off brand.
Hi,
I've just received my TyTn II and am interested in getting a memory card for it.
It takes Micro SD but what is the max size that it/WM6 will work with?
Also, what is Micro SDHC? and can I use it?
I've seen a 2GB MicroSD card for £7.55 del. but I probably want a bigger card.
I intend using it for tomtom - photos - some games and apps and of course data file storage.
TIA
Bryan
I picked up a SanDisk 8GB via Amazon for under $70 USD (minus shipping).
http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Micro...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1204123335&sr=8-1
I have a San Disk 8gig in mine and it's great.
Cheers, Paul
Thanks for the quick replies,
As you are using 8GB cards they must be MicroSDHC? AFAIK MicroSD cards that hold 4GB or greater are all MicroSDHC.
Any chance you can pop your card and see?
The 8Gb SanDisk that I ordered is MicroSDHC (a.k.a. 2.0).
The HC stands for High Capacity and it is indeed for cards above 4 GB.
The device for the memory card has to be HC capable and lucky for us, our Kaiser is
Every micro sd card also has a class (2, 4 or 6 I believe). The higher the number, the better transfer rates (and response time), but also the bigger the cost.
I currently have a 6 GB (class 4) micro SD card. I'm going to wait a while to buy a new one until cards with about 16 GB or 32 GB (or something like that) of memory come around.
I'm also running the sandisk 8gb SDHC card. Its speedy and
works flawlessly. I got it on amazon for about 80 USD
The only thing i could recommend after having a card this big
is a good card exporting program on your phone so not
limited by activesync
Thanks for the help.
The 2GB MicroSD card at £7.55 seems very good value but I'll wait for an 8GB MicroSDHC deal to come along.
Hopefully a faster variant too..
Is it possible to connect the phone to a PC and have it recognised as a large memory stick? I know some phones do and then you can just explore them like a disc drive.
I will setup activesync at home for normal installation etc. but wondered if I could access the SD card whilst in phone from the PC/USB a la memory stick whilst at work.
yes, you can access the SD card like it's a memory stick by exploring. However, the transfer rate isn't as good as a USB connection with a stick. The 8GB SanDisk comes with a USB reader so that the card can actually be used in the reader just like a stick. Fastest transfer rate I've ever gotten with my phone
I'm using an 8Gb SanDisk MicroSDHC.
Works great!
I have a 8gb and it is fine.. but if you wait until next month you can pick up a 12gb and really have some storage space.
'im using a sandisk 6GB MicroSDHC for about 50canadian$

Talk about a deal i just purchased two 8gb for $70 because they were used and only came with one adapter.
I got my 8 gb sandisk sdhc card on ebay - another place to look for a great deal. Just be careful about the track record of the seller. I love the 8 gb card, but will be looking for a 16 gb card when they come out.
i saw the 16GB ones out anyone tried if it will work with the kaiser???
I run a Kingston 8GB SDHC in mine without problems (brought it over from my SDHC enabled Orbit), which I bought for £25 about 8 months ago from mobymemory. Never had any problems with it at all.
As for these four memory cards, is that you recommend to the HD2?
1. SANDISK MICRO SD 16GB class 4
2. ADATA MICRO SD 16GB class 4 or ADATA MICRO SD 16GB class 6
3. KINGSTONE MICRO SD 16GB class 4
Sandisk because it has stable performance and more compatible than other cards on wp7
I personally used Sandisk for a very long time and continue to do so but i have recently swapped it out for a Transcend 8GB class 10. You can find it
on ebay here for $10.50. Read and write speeds are impressive and it works great for Android or to just have really. I don't use WP7 so i can't honestly
say if it'll work or not for that. A quick search in the WP7 Q&A could shed some light on it. I just couldn't foresee how it would even be a problem though.
Google the SD cards your interested but add the word benchmark to the end. This can give some insight on what cards generally have the better
performance and which don't. Higher speed ratings don't always mean better scores so look at the benchmarks and most important, the reviews.
If Sandisk is the card your most interested in i could sell you some of mine. I can't compete with China or knockoff prices but i could offer something
cheaper then what you might pay at Best Buy, Target or even Walmart. $8 for a 8GB sandisk class 4, $15 for a 16GB sandisk class 4 or both for $20.
Improtant warning about (some) sandisk cards. While shopping in the past i did see a lot of fake sandisk cards. I've always heard the easiest way to spot
a fake sandisk is buy looking where the speed rating is placed. If its off to the corner then it might be fake. It should be centered in the middle as all mine are.
Sankdisk, if not Kingstone.
Honestly, I'd go all the way and get 32gb. Thats what I did.
Sandisk, and buy only from certified OEM seller.
Any card from auction: 95% probability of getting fake one. They may work as original, or may not.
I recommend samsung 32GB class10.
Its effect is very good.

So my SD card from the LG promo crapped out. I picked this one up from amazon. I love it so far. A little pricey, but worth it. It comes with a lifetime warranty too. Waterproof, x-ray proof, outdoor proof. Great card all around.
Price: $39.99
My benchmark results:
Read: 80.66 MB/s
Write: 26.42 MB/s
Link to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013CP5IWO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I got one of those and had to return it since it came defective. I've paid $20 in sale. Now I got a new one but Kingston.
Sent from my LG-H815
The title on the Amazon page says UHS-1, but the picture shows a UHS-3 card, which is what the description is about. Looks like a decent card, but at $40 is overpriced.
(btw, nearly every microSDXC card claims waterproof, x-ray proof, outdoor proof, etc).
I got this card from SanDisk direct on Amazon, for my new Kindle Fire 7", should do for films etc. and 128GB seemed a little pricey and unnecessary.
I have a 64GB Sandisk Extreme Pro formatted fat32 (Black and Red card, rated for 95MB/s Read and 90MB/s write) using it in the LG G4's micro SD card slot using A1 SD card bench I get approx 88MB/s read and 55MB/s write the write speed is low I'm not sure if it's fat32 or the LG G4 as when it was EX fat on the PC (USB 3 reader) it got closer to the write speeds rated
anybody knows if LG G4 supports UHS-2 SDXC cards?
Has anyone tried anything larger than a 64GB card in their R1 HD? I just popped in a PNY Elite 64 UHS 1 card, seems decent enough speed wise, but was wondering if down the line I wanted to go bigger if there would be sn issue?? I know officially BLU says 64GB, was just wandering if that was as high as they tested, or if a limitation of the Mediatek SoC?
I put in a PNY Elite 128gb card in mine. It formatted to 117gb however failed shortly after. I tried copying music from my internal storage to the external storage and it froze 2 albums in and stopped reading. I'm not sure if it was a dud card or if it has to do with some sort of limitations.
Here is a post of someone claiming to have a 200gb card working though. So there is hope!

Edit - Nevermind, I had a bad card. Can confirm 128gb cards work!

I was going to pick up the 128 card while at Microcenter yesterday, but didn't want to chance it. So I figured ehh 64GB is plenty, then i started second guessing if I should have spent and extra 20$ for the UHS 3 samsung card, but figured with a budget phone would I be wasting $. The PNY Elite seems snappy enough, haven't noticed any noticeable slow down, other than 4 apps not liking being stored on SD
Actually I just got my new SD card from Amazon and I can confirm 128gb cards do in fact work. I must have gotten a DOA card.

I can confirm both a Samsung 128GB EVO Class 10 Micro SDXC Card
and a Patriot LX Series 200GB High Speed Micro SDXC Class 10 UHS-I
Both work in the BLU R1 HD 16GB 2GB Ram amazon variant after I removed ads and installed TWRP. (I would think it would work prior to this also but I never tried it prior).
The BLU device also lets you format the Micro SD card as "Shared internal memory" without any issues like other manufacturers and haven't had any issue installing movies on the Micro SD card for later viewing.
And Mircast works great on the BLU R1 HD also...just with the R1 HD supported 5GHZ wifi(but for the price I can deal)
Ok, I'm satisfied so far with performance of the PNY Elite 64GB (class 10 UHS1). I do notice write times are a bit slower when updating or installing apps, or doing TWRP backups. Thinking of ordering a UHS 3 card to see if it speeds anything up. It's not super crucial, it's still snappy, it's just one of those nagging what ifs -_-. If anybody has any experience with one of the faster SD cards let me know. Are there any read/write test apps where I can measure the actual throughput on the R1??
