PPCGeeks ?

I love this site and ppcgeeks and I know there are a lot of us that float between the 2 sites.
Anyone know what's going on over there with the site outages over the past few days?

I was wondering the same thing everytime i click on the website i get a page that says "internal error"

While the app was mainly hosted at PPCGeeks, it has nothing to do with their servers, so the fact that the site is up unfortunately means nothing for Sprint users and the MMS hack

bummer. this stinks I can't send pictures even using my email I type cell#@vzwpix.com comes back undeliverable but I can sent to sprint customers @pm.sprint.com any clue what happening

Looks good but from what I can tell, maps aren't going to be the greatest.

At least there will be a decent alternative to using the google maps which require an internet connection. Sometimes I just want to use the GPS without the additional expense.

i just went to the site and they havent release it for US yet.

It's kind of on the down low right now while they make sure all the kinks are worked out of the new server. I've been playing with is since yesterday and it's looking pretty sweet.
No, I'm not going to post a link. If you're really interested you should be able to find it on their site and I don't want to encourage the overloading of their new server. I'm sure once they make it a bit more public the news will be all over.

It's up and running. Tested today on my way to work.

Where are you suppose to put the Tilepack? I searched and unzipped it into mapnik folder, this took around 1:20min I was wondering if that is normal? Also after doing so I have had no luck with the program it runs smoothly but I cannot get a route loaded no matter what... please help the newb

1. Yes moving the map tiles takes a long time depending on how detailed they are.
2. Ask this question in the AndNav forum where the development is happening

I've been using it a bit since yesterday as well. It works, but there is a lot of communication between the G1 and their servers to make things work.
Look in the downloads area for Trek buddy it creates a lot of the map packs. Tiles.
The site is kinda scattered so I would look around in the forum and yes you do have to be a member to see links.

i don't know if i'm stupid or what, but i still can't find a way to download it lol

PPCGeeks down?

Is PPCGeeks down for you guys too? Seems for the last 48 hours, it's either database issues, server capacity issues, or just straight up not loading up.
Anyone got the answers as to what's wrong with the site, and what the maintenance upgrades on the forums were supposed to do?

Yes, PPCGeeks is experiencing some issues with the server. We are working on getting it back up and running ASAP.

was back up a few hrs ago but seems to be back down again. anybody confirm?

We are working on applying a fix that JUST MIGHT bring the server back online. I'll let you know if there are any updates.

I was also in with no issue, maybe a server was down when u tried...

I got a "502 Bad Gateway" error the first time I tried, but the second time I got through. It seems it must be intermittant, since this very useful site said ppcgeeks.com was up. Apparantly PPCGeeks has been having problems all month, but they've "got plans for some server reconfiguring and moving some things to other locations", so they're working on it​

Does ANYONE have another link to the Shipped Tmousa TP2 ROM?? rapidshare/the link ( http://rapidshare.com/files/270043045/cdguider_TMOUS_Shipped_Rom_1.20.531.4.rar ) is not working, and i need to put this back on before i can send back for an replacement, becuase the Send/End keys are "squishy/stuck" and not "clicky" anymore (had it for a week now).. they still work, but i dont know for how long.. also my screen is kinda loose when u tilt it up.. so can ANYONE direct me to ANOTHER link

you be at tmonews forums right? lol but naww, i never had a problem with rapidshare before.. megashare.com seems to not be workin for me also

Yeah, I was asking 'cause some people can't access rapidshare because they're behind some firewall or use some kind of proxy...don't know, but I guess that's not your problem if it usually works for you.
You might contact cdguider directly to see if he can give you a private/other link.

yea my Firewall (McAfee) never blocked access to rapidshare, and im not behind a proxy.. so i was just seeing if anyone has another link or knows anything about RS status

thank u soo much.. who backs up all those ROMs on that site? and is rapidshare working for u?

No-one backs up the ROMs. If they are removed by the Chef (or the ISP) then they are gone.
Some people provide mirrors, this is your best bet.
