Any of you guys tried programs such as VITO Remote Control and RemoteControl II on your Kaiser? If so, have you had any luck controlling your devices with it?
There are many applications out there that can do this but I've had no luck so far and was wondering if you guys have had better results than I have.
Programs that i've tried so far are:
VITO Remote Control

Remote Control II 2.12

Any comments/feedback will be appreciated.
Unfortunately, the Kaiser has no IR port like previous models so NO remote control software will work
I don't think that it's possible without any infrared hardware...

Bluetooth
What about using the Kaiser to control the PS3, since the PS3 remote is bluetooth based?

If you indeed only need to have a simple (non-full) control, PPC Tablet Remote Control Suite is prolly the best solution. It's been reviewed & compared to the other remote apps in my related Bible at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...s for Windows Mobile - the Definitive Roundup
For a more general solution (which may turn out to be an overkill in your case), see my other Bible at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Access your desktop PC from your Pocket PC!
guys can anyone suggest a programe that will allow me to control the frequency of my ir port, i wish to control an auto door that i have to drive through at work, frequency of 433,92MHz
cheers in advance
Download remote control software. As far as I remember the majority if not all, allow you to record an IR signal from a remote for playback on your IR port at another time.
thats great cheers any ideas of a good utility to use, i spent some time last night looking around handango but wasnt that usefull?
Its been a while since I've looked into this, as most HTC phones don't come with IR anymore. Since you don't need anything too fancy, my reccomendation would be to see if you can locate any freeware remote control software. Otherwise, you can try some shareware software in the meantime. Probably the most robust and customisable software is this one:

OK here is an app I believe it might do what you're asking, honestly I haven't tried it enough (only showed my Laptop's screen on my tilt's screen, which's -as you know- so small for comfortable viewing), then I could handle it (windows explorer of my laptop) almost completely.., so yea I guess this can help, "Z2 Remote2PC"
the publisher's site is: <www.z2software.com>.. and of course.. google

Hi guys,
I've recently got a Playstation 3 and want a remote control. Now, like most of you I have a universal remote controlling all my other gear (TV, amplifier, fridge, etc). The remote offered by Sony is Bluetooth, not so helpful when I want to integrate it into my existing universal remote control (Logitech Harmony 525).
I was wondering if anyone has managed to find a decent IR option to plug into their PS3 - I know they exist, and I've heard mixed reviews.
I would ideally like all the functionality of a decent remote (so I can control my PS3 (turn on/off, eject and all other normal functions watching a DVD/blu-ray) using my universal remote control. So I would probably need to purchase some third-party (USB) IR device and integrate it into my Harmony 525. Not too much to ask?
Any recommendations guys?
Ray.
