Another day, another bug..
We tout a2dp as a killer feature, but whats the point when after listening to music you take or make a call, only for the music to resume by blaring from your PHONE SPEAKER afterwards, prompting you to soft reset just to get your headphones working again. This is very embarassing and did NOT Happen with my old HTC Touch.
What gives HTC?

i've heard about this bug.
use coreplayer (from my experience) or another civilized, technically advanced app. forget about the original prog. i can add that i am amazed by the quality of a2dp. i don't have any skip. the quality is the same as the wired headphones.
please don't give me the usual "but i bought...and i expected...". get used to it. diamond is strong in some fields and not so strong in others.
maybe they'll (xda-dev) find a cure. let's hope
Doesent happen with my phone ... works like a charm for me..
Even if I connect to bluetooth amplifire and someone is calling, it pauses and I take the call on the phone... and then it plays again when i hang up...
same thing here also as darth

No im sorry. There is no excuse. This is poor quality control and id expect better from HTC.
Either the Diamond supports A2DP or it doesnt. There is no inbetween, thats slack.
I expect to be able to use the official player as its quick to launch and easy to jump to a specific album/artist.
Now I cannot walk out and about, fire up A2DP and enjoy music while being able to take calls.
Now I cant even accept calls on the train if I have been listening to music.
Its a joke and it needs to be sorted.
We mock iPhone for not having A2DP but whats the point - we dont have it (working) either!

Hold on.. lets get something straight, you think its UNREASONABLE for me to expect A2SP to actually work.... It worked just fine on my old HTC Touch and yet my Diamond cant seem to do the job properly.
Instead of sticking your head in the sand and being in flat out denial about the state of the Diamond, why dont you acknowlege the problem and work WITH people like me to try and find a solution.
lol
is it possible that it works on certain headsets than others...?
i have an i.tech and it works fine...however quality itself isnt too great...
but i dont have the music blaring via speakers problem after answering a phone call....
maybe release to us
rom version & headset model?
Same problem here using a BT Sony-Ericsson headset. Latest FR official ROM. And I agree it's very annoying.
Now I cannot walk out and about, fire up A2DP

"Fire up A2DP" ?, LOL. You make it sound like it happens in a push of a button.
The process of enabling A2DP takes some dozen clicks deep into the ancient parts of the WM interface.

For me too btw, with DS-980...
So we have people claiming this problem does not exist and we have others saying it does.
Surely this needs to be investigated further right? Because If A2DP isnt working correctly then I conisder that a vital feature lost.
Im using the Sony DRBT30Q with the latest official UK WWE Diamond ROM and let me add that this worked FLAWLESSLY with my old original HTC Touch.
i don't know if htc alone is to be blamed for these issues....A2DP is a very volatile technology which needs support from all parties involved (i.e the Headset vendor, the Phone vendo and the OS vendor)...and in your case, any of these can be responsible for the problems ur facing
i've had a similar problem with my del bh200 bluetooth headset...the music sounds pretty decent (in fact, i distinctly feel it played better on my earlier HTC Touch elfin)...however, whenever a call comes in, the headset switches off and i have to pair it again...which means we can't use it in handsfree mode....
the same headset however works with several other models in both handsfree and wireless stereo mode
after searching a bit, i found that the problem lies with the microsoft bluetooth stack...so summing up, investigate a bit before naming your thread "diamond renders a2dp useless"

No such problems here.
SwBL's latest rom with Plantronics Voyager 855 headset
Just start media player and hit main button and A2DP starts up, Incoming calls work fine, music mutes and starts up as soon as the call ends.
Loving the new headset
Jules
Sprint Diamond Stock Firmware with Jabra BT8010 1.4 firmware (latest)
Music and calls work fine... Sprint TV doesn't play nice with A2DP and the headset randomly starts playing nothing at times.
I think HTC and Sprint fixed music playback with A2DP but left the other quirks of the Bluetooth Stack for later.
I remember a similar problem on my HTC Vogue, but that fixed right up after the GPS REV A Update.
I didn't want to open a new thread, but this does have to do with bluetooth. Does any body know, when the SE IS-800 are coming out, because the release date of "late 2008" is a bit vague...
Can this have something to do with radio rom version?
I use Sony DS-980.
I had v1.00.25.05 and upgraded to v1.00.25.08 and last time I received a phone call I had to answer the call from my Diamond and after the call the sound came from the phone speaker. I can't remember this happened when I used .05 version

anyone have an idea about the best bluetooth headset for HD2 , which is good for both phone call and music play??
I just wish the HD2 had voice dialing included like the last three HTC phones I have had, such a shame.

Folks,
I've been using this one on HD Jabra BT3030 Stereo. My HD2 is on its way and should be here wednesday the lastest but what I can say is that this one is really amazing. It is able to give you control over volume up/down, music rewind/forward and next/previous function of the HTC player. Having that you will never need to take it out of the case for making calls or hearing music. On HTC its also supporting the Voice calling.
But as I said, not tested it on HD2 yet. I will give it a try and post my result here as soon as my HD2 is there.
Indeed this dog tag"-Look is something you need to like but in my opinion its an eye catcher ;-)

how to make the hd2 play music through the bluetooth headset? i have a sony headset added as a bluetooth device with the stereo headset option ticked. also i am able to use it for phone calls but not music.
I am using the bt3030 from jabra also, but instead of the jabra earbuds,i buyed senneheiser cx300 precision, combine this with srs wow hd and do some bluetooth tweaking like verry high bitrate etc and you got some booming bass on the head with nice and clear treble, and clear mid tones....whoooo
Sony Ericsson MW600 - Both for phone and stereo bluetooth. It has a small display, dipslays caller ID for contacts, you can adjust volume (although the slider takes a little getting used too, it is much more linear than the HD2 controls), has a 2.5mm headset jack so you can replace the headset with whatever you choose. Great sound reproduction from standard headphones. Fantastic battery life. Uses micro-usb to charge, so is compatible with HTC HD2 chargers. You can pair with multiple devices. Has worked flawlessly for me. Paid $75 AUS Dollars

the volume control is easy. the manual says that you need to slide across the whole slider to activate volume then you can just slide to the desired volume. works great. highly recommend this headset. also payed about $80 aud online for it.
Hi,
Personnaly, I am using IQUA BHS-701. It is light, good balance between quality and price. Very good sound (phone and music)good bass. It is the best one for jogging according my knwoledge. It has it's own volume contrôle, overiding the HD2 one. there is mini USB slot to charge it. The disign philosophie is close to the jabra. Reception disance is good. Finally it is a 83grams headfone and it last 10 hrs music.
Motorola S9 or Jaybird work great!
Both are "waterproof". I also use WOW (free ap) - try the Jaybird first - they won't be comfortable for everyone.
Hey guys, i`ve been browsing the site for a while and thought it about time to make an original contribution. I was looking for a blue tooth headset and my searches here lead me to the MW600. quite a few people were asking about it so i thought it a good opportunity to give my review now that i have one!
from the start then, i bought this as i have a very nice pair of headphones i wanted to use with the phone, but could not be doing with cords. most bluetooth headsets have their own headphones which i get along with even less. this seemed a perfect solution to both problems.
the box it comes in is flimsy at best, indeed the plastic tab to hang the box on is completely lose, useless for hanging up in a shop.
out the box, its a lot smaller than i imagined but a bit thicker too. it comes with a charger that handily also fits the HD2 which is an added bonus and un expected!
when i paired up to the phone i was very surprised to find that the unit displayed the song info correctly. i honestly did not expect this to work outside of a sony erricson phone but it works! the next track and previous track buttons work as well, as does the play and stop buttons.
the hands free works fine as well with the person who called me not knowing i was on a hands free.
the volume control is awful, they decided to use a slider that half the time does not register me raising the volume and when it does its impossible to get the right volume setup, its either too high or too low and the slider is too imprecise to get the setting i want!
I cannot comment on the enclosed head phones as i never used them!
When i play some music through the device ( and that is of course what its for) the results are slightly dispaointing. the sound is okay, but that is about as best as i can describe it. maybe its because i am spoilt by the good quality output from the 3.5mm jack on the phone, maybe i am just used to having some EQ on (which the unit does not provide for and the phone says it cannot apply `audio booser` without somer thing being plugged in the 3.5mm jack) but the bass is there (thanks on no small part to the ehadphones rather than the unit) but the mid seems `transparent` with no real hit and the highs are annoyingly 'sparkly'. This os of course my opinion, and others may find the output perfectly fine and for comparison i also do not like the output of ipods as i find their mid lacking as well so if your happy with i pod output you maybe happy with this units output,
I have never needed to re charge the unit yet after 3 days of having it and listing to it in the morning for 2 hours and on the way home for an hour so the battery seems quite good.
I love the unit but the quality of the output means i will only really use it when i have to, prefering to use the audio jack output, i am however going to look into how the unit works as i suspect the phone is sending SBD encode audio and not the native mp3. if i can ge tthe unit to decode MP3 and the phone to send mp3 then i think we have a winner!
For reference i used CD originals encoded to lame 3.98 -V1.
just ordered mine. thanks for the review. i will also post up my opinion of the headset when it arrives. if it is as good as the include wired version, that will be good enough for me.
Hey thanks for the review as I'm getting one but you didn't speak about the radio does it work? anything else? cheers mate
Thanks for your review.
But could you edit it so that it's not so hard to read?
Spaces between a few sentences would suffice.
Thanks for the review, install WOW SRS and it should improve the sound quality via bluetooth but it will kill audio booster when plugged with the 3.5mm jack and always use WOW SRS.
Vrery nice, all working apart from Cyberon voice dialer, you can initiate Cyberon voice application by clicking the phone button on headset but can't pass voice to the phone as it doesn't recognize voice. It looks like the problem relates to cyberon not mw600.

The Miri V10 ROM is on the HTCpedia forums (I think it is V11 now, not tried it)
Just got mine, tried it and I have to say:
THE MUSIC QUALITY IS CRAP!!!!!
headphones arrived today. WOW. excellent audio and far better than oem headphones. have yet to play with it on radio etc, but so far very impressive.
I have a problem
After the end of any audio file
Lose "stereo audio" connection
and have to push the play button to reconnect "stereo audio"
and also
After the end of calls
Lose "Hands Free" connection
and have to push the Talk button to reconnect "Hands Free"
but if i received a call
"Hands Free" reconnect automatically
But there is a delay for two seconds
I do not know this is normal?
Like power autosaving!!!
this is definately not normal. mine works flawlessly. no need to reconnect ever. i would suggest checking your bluetooth settings and pairing settings again to make sure everything is correct.
I am using smartWatchM with Sony Ericsson MBW-150
I think there is a conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
The problem is from latest windows build (23569) & (21903 )
When i go back to an old build like (23519)
There is no conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
Waiting for a solution to this problem or update for Windows without problems
Delays
Does anyone else experience a 3-5 sec delay when the HD2 jumps 1 song/chapter forward?
My combination gives a this delay, which is especially annoying when listening to audiobooks!
I miss a few seconds of every new chapter, need to manually jump 1 chapter forward and the back again.
Does not appear when manually going forward/reverse only when HD2 is in control.
I can't seem to find a program which will route ALL audio to my mono bt earpiece. If there is such an app pls pst. If not, I'd like to help in the dev of such an app. Basicly, whenever the phone sees any audio bt device it will start routing all audio to that device. And it should have a built in audio mixer to control the different programs' volume levels separately.
Let me know what you think
Thanks.

As a bike commuter this feature would be great. I typically listen to streams and podcasts where fidelity is not priority one. I use a cheap pair of corded headphones where I chop one ear bud off so that I can keep my left ear, traffic side, open. It would be sweet to have the ability to make/take calls on my commute and listen to audio as well. I know that there are BT earpieces that are a2dp, but should I really have to drop another 40 clams to get one, hells no this is android we get what we want right? That said I would develop a prog to do this but it will take me 6 mos as I have no background. So, to kind devs, myself and several others that I have seen scouring for this sol'n would gladly help test and pay for this functionality.
I have been looking also. Have not found anything to even mention. I used to have it on my old MinMo phone, but that's the ONLY damn thing I miss about it. Anyone have a recomendation.
theres a bunch of cheap A2DP headsets at dealextreme.com just do a search for a2dp
But I do mean cheap dont expect miracles for sound quality or battery life . . . but did I mention cheap?
We're not trying to solve our problems by purchasing MORE hardware, we're trying to make do with what we have and find new uses for old stuff. We want to send ALL the audio from the device to a mono NON a2dp earpiece. It can't honestly be that hard, Please devs. And don't forget your donate buttons.

Hello!
Sorry to up this "old" topic, but I'm a biker too and i have a scala rider Q2 bluetooth device. This device does not support the bluetooth A2AP x-(
The phone calls trough bluetooth is ok but no music or GPS....
I found a solution : Bluetooth Audio Widget (i could not post the link but you can find it on the android market)
This Widget/application route all the sounds from your device to the bluethoot headphones!
@++
I have been using "Super BT Mono Pro" on my T-Mobile G2. It is working better than a few of the other apps that I have tried. It is also available on the Market.
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_developer/sinwidget_itzo.html
How do you like that Q2? Does it work well on FM, or is its radio coverage spotty like the other units? I still think they have awesome audio when you are talking to someone. I gave up the Scala Rider FM for a Parrot SK4000.
As the title states, let's get some interesting Bluetooth accessories in here.
headphones, ear buds, a2dp adaptors, keyboards, earpieces etc.
I know there are individual topics for some of these, but let's get them and more, all right here, condensed, for ease and quality.
PM me and I'll add it to the second post, as long as it has a review/post link attached.

You can go ahead and check out my review summary thread (link in my sig) to pick out bt headphones/earphones and keyboard links. There is also a thread about Pebble smart watch which supposed to be an awesome bt accessory to bring out remote notification display from N2 in your pocket to your wrist. Plus, someone mentioned MOGA Pro in another thread which is a really cool bt game controller. Then, you also have Jawbone Jambox to bring sound of N2 externally through bt connection. It could have been mentioned in the forum, but I don't remember when/where. At least those I mentioned are the most essential bt accessories.
My best bluetooth accessory is my Ford Edge.

No, the bluetooth always connects when I come back to the car. I never see line in unless I turn the phone's bluetooth off.
For the most part it starts playing also. Unfortunately, when it starts playing it always starts playing BeyondPod podcasting app. Even if I was playing Pandora when I got out of the car it starts up BeyondPod when I get back in the car. I'm not sure why this happens. I'd like it to continue playing using the app that was running when I got out of the car.
It's not terribly annoying, though. I have an NFC tag in my car that will start Pandora. I just tap that and BeyondPod yields to Pandora.
I've got the Motorola motoactv gps watch. Best watch out there and works great with the N2.

Thank your lucky stars that you and i are having this conversation then. I'm guessing you havent ever updated sync? They put out an update a while back, (before i bought my car, so i didnt have the option) that took that away. Any SYNC system that is up to date brings you back to line in EVERY time you turn off the car. imagine that for a second. The reason they did that, was because some people complained that they would get into their car and music would just start playing, so instead of spending time to recode it system to let you choose a default, they just force line in on you. and nothing is being done to change this.
So, to sum up, if you ever get the urge to update the system, dont.

I backed that just the other day. My car has bluetooth, but only streams calls and not audio. Planning on plugging it in to my AUX port to stream audio. The female-female adapter is pretty nifty.
I got an Avantree Roxa http://www.avantree.com/Product-Blu...-roxa-aptx-decoding-technology-added_677.html
Great BT receiver, Bluetooth 4, aptX, USB charging socket 1A, mulipoint 8 devices, great sound quality due to aptX
best a2dp with noise cancellation over the ear
as the title says, I'm looking to improve my audio experience via bt over the ear. I has to be a2dp (streaming audio) and good noise cancellation. My current Moto Elite Silver is great but noise cancellation is so-so, some people hear some whistle at times. I spend a lot of time driving and need to use bt over the ear.
What are you experiences/suggestions/advise? Appreciate...
I have a jawbone era and I'm impressed. I owned the moto Sliver for a yeat amd while it was way more comfortable, it didn't offer that dio quality that the jawbone has. I initially bought Bose new bt headset but I wasn't impressed at all, except that it was comfortable.
I do have some problems with my jawbone that are all user error (i think), but once I get the sorted I'll be happy.
