internal memory storage problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

i have installed alot of mobile browsers and apps it went from 129 mb to 124 mb. i uninstalled EVERYTHING, cleared my storage, used sprite backup but it still stays at 124 mb. what should i do??
tell me nd i will love you forever

you shouldnt have any problems when installing programs on the tilt's internal memory it self... aside from a little being slow but why dont you just get a storage card?

I do but most programs install and are hardcoded on the main memory. I have an sd card but yea.

Memory Problems

Hello,
I upgraded my phone with cooked/upgraded ROM,RADIO etc with no problems. Installed programs to the 4gb internal memory. However I had not manipulated any storage areas (advanced config tool). When installing programs i chose to install to internal storage. However some files must still be written into the phones smaller memory. It now wont let me install programs as it says too little memory. It wont let me install advanced configuration tool either. I would uninstall items if i knew what took up lots of the internal memory or useless items i could get rid of. When i look at the memory using advanced task manager it says
physical memory 67 mb used 113mb avail
virtual memory 5.31 used 32 avail
storage memory 84.54 used 85.81 avail (THIS IS THE ONE I NEED TO LOWER)
Storage card memory 439mb used 3832 avail
any advice or help is apprecitated

a2sd and phone memory HELP!!!

Hi everyone,
I have a sprint hero and I am using Fresh rom 2.0d... I am also using a2sd.
The Problem:
When I first flashed and had no apps installed my Phone memory read 101mb and I partitioned my 2gb memory card as: 1gb fat32, 800.8mb ext3, and 95.5mb swap.
I installed more than 71 apps and then the a2sd memory was 657.9mb (out of 800.8) {so we know that a2sd is working}, but my phone memory had lower to 49.4mb and decreasing even if i dont install any apps.
The Question?:
Can anyone tell me what is going on with my phone and phone memory? Is it normal that my phone memory has to be decreasing even if I am using a2sd or even if i dont install any apps?
Thank you so much community
p.s. I am a noob!!!!!
49 is pretty low, try clearing cache on the Browser and Market. Settings>applications>manage applications. Sort by size and clear cache on the Browser, market and albums. Also any application data is stored on the phones memory and not the sd card.
Now I have 61. All my cache is on my sdcard.... but I did deleted all cache and it cleared 5mb.
So you mean that all my apps are storing their information on my phone memory's and not on the partition of the sd card where they are installed?
thanks

APPS2SD: Apps are stored in both internal and SD?

I just installed apps2sd on a freshly wiped system. I'm pretty sure mine's working and tested it by installing Google Earth.
It did subtract around 20mb from the SD card secondary.
But it also subtracted it on the phones internal storage of around 20plus mb.
I rebooted to be sure, but it's still missing 20mb.
Is it normal that values are subtracted on both storage?
It's not normal as far as I know. It would defeat the purpose of Apps2SD.
Urgh. What have I done wrong?
I partitioned the SD until ext4 using Amon_RA 1.7
I wiped to factory settings and ext using Amon_RA 1.7
I flashed CM 5.0.6
then I wiped again to factory settings.
maybe I'm wrong, but what I have heard is that the app stores on SD card but cache of the app is stored on internal memory. what you are experiencing also happens to me when I install any app.
sstang2006: You're right. The data of the app is still store in internal memory from what I know .
Yup...the main data of the app is still stored on internal memory. Only the apk file and some other stuff is stored on the SD.
did you apply the app2sd?
setting > application > apply the app2sd
Its normal. Apps are installed on the SD card, but program DATA is still stored in the internal memory. i.e. apps2sd is literally "apps to sd card"
see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=646579
Yes Apps2SD is checked. Oh well, I guess Google Earth naturally takes a lot of the internal storage.
I just thought I would never have a problem with the internal storage decreasing in free space.
Thanks for the responses guys!
use CacheMate and clear your Cache....you'll get some internal memory back.... I use it only after using the market to dl/install apps as i've been told a lot of "data" can be used and never "cleared" when dl/installing from market....Give it a try wth right?

[Q] export data to sd card & internal storage

alright guys, I have miui on my Nexus one and was having no problems up until tonight. I started with 21 mb of internal storage, and suddenly my phone had a pop up asking if I wanted to "export my data to my SD card" it then went on to explain it would move pictures, screenshots, data, etc from my internal storage, to my SD card. And I thought, awesome, now I'll have more space. But now I'm down to 11 mb of internal storage, and keep getting an low memory error. My SD card has plenty of space, 3.6 gb left. This low memory issue is driving me insane, and I don't understand how I ended up LOSING internal storage when I thought I would gain it. Can someone please help me out?
You're running MIUI, I guess - I don't remember this message on any other ROM.
And you probably don't have A2SD running - because otherwise you wouldn't be left without memory.
Reboot the phone, it'll probably restore you back to 21MB of free space. Then read up on A2SD, partition your SD card and enable A2SD.

[Q] Low internal memory even with ext enabled

I all, I do have all my apps installed in ext partition (and I'm sure of it, since I'm able to wipe weverything but the ext, apply new roms and find my apps already there).
I expected almost free internal memory, but I get the low memory warning (20MB and under...). I suspect that moving apps to ext doesn't clean internal memory. Is this correct? If so, how can I free some space? Should I delete apks manually from data?
Try entering this in Terminal Emulator:
su
lib2ext 1
Then reboot
Ok, I got 126MB of free space by moving libs. Thanks for the hint.
Anyway, when I try to move apps from sd to internal I got an Insufficient space error. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling thos apps
How big is your ext partition? At least 512 MB is necessary. But the latest CM10 builds appear to require more than 768 MB, I'm using 1 GB in my ext partition.
I have 1GB ext partition on my card and had no problem with it.
