Kraize's Apps Review

This is going to be a VERY LONG THREAD. I'm keeping it locked as to keep it for reference. It'll be updated as frequently as possible. I'm going to try and review every app that I have in my collection + any new ones I get. This will be totally unorganized, so the second and third post will be reserved for the encyclopedia which will categorize all the posts of each review under a certain category. I'll be posting screenshots, reviews, and a link to the site/thread + a buy/donate link for the developer if available. Please don't rush me since this is going to take a couple weeks (maybe a month or two) to complete because it'll be pretty damn long. I'll try to do one app a day, but it'll be hard to do.

This is by far one of the best multiplayer games on android right now.
Look up lord bakon have a fast growing kingdom, lots of resources, and alliance coming.

The new treasure hunting ability is awesome!

if you want to get extra gem points when you register
When you register,
in referral code, put "4xq8n"
This will ensure that "both" you and I get extra 100 gem points.
Gem points are good for buying items in the game.

how does this game keep track of users? i mean if i wipe my phone as i often do, how will i get my profile back?

New update just dropped. Added a lot of basic alliance stuff and.. you'll love this warsng, the ability to restore your account to another phone(or more likely wiped phone) thru a user id(your ref code) lord name and a password.

One of our own made it into Round 2 of the Google IO challenge! Developer teleknEsis had this to say about it...
The first round was just 6 obscure Android questions that we had to answer in 30 minutes. Top 200 people went on to round 2.
Round 2 was to create an Android version of the HTML5 countdown clock on the homepage of the google io site. They changed up the site today for St Pattie's day and changed the bouncing colored balls to floating 4-leaf clovers, but it's still the same concept more or less. We had about 20 hours to do it (although less for me b/c I had to wait to get off work)
So I created an app for Android that has little bouncy Androids instead of colored balls.

And a little about himself..
Finally made the transition to full-time Android developer about a month ago. Spent the previous couple years playing around with Android and last 6 months staying up all night coding pet projects. It's good to feel as though I have 'arrived'.

Thanks guys, I definitely appreciate the support! I don't think I'm going to find out if I won until April 4th but until then I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

A not so happy ending...
Well, I'm sad to announce I was not one of the top 10 Android winners
It seems they gave a lot of credit to final app size (even tho mine was still 20 kb) and a few of the people used some tools to shrink the final apk. Once I found out about this I did it to my apk as well and was on par with their size (11 kb).
It's disappointing, but at the same time, I'm still incredibly happy how things turned out. I was w/in the top 38 people who competed and that in and of itself is something to be proud of.
I also learned a TON from this challenge because prior to it I had never done custom animations or even worked with the Canvas class - both of which I can say I'm very comfortable with now. So in only 9 hours I learned how to do custom animations and created an awesome app - AMAZING!
So, long story short, while I may not have won, I'm still holding my head up high and there's always next time.
I did, however, turn my submission into a live wallpaper and made it the system clock rather than a countdown clock. I stuck it on the market for $0.99 so who knows, if it sells like hot cakes then maybe I will have enough $$ to buy an I/O ticket on eBay.

Giving away some free stuff

Hey guys.
The site i write for i going to having a bit of a giveaway and becuase most of the writers are XDA users, I wanted to give the members of XDA a heads up on this.
So the details, Install or Not will be giving away copies of Sleeping Dogs, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Sniper Elite V2 as top prizes and runners up will get some phone accessories.
The giveaway starts @ midnight GMT and will last till the 1st September. I can't tell you what you have to do but check the site in about an hour and a half and all will be made clear.

Here is the deal, and here are the rules...
I have created a public folder for anyone to add and/or delete photos from, on my Google Drive. Possibly stupid? Nope, because I own it, and have the final say when to cut off uploads, etc. So, here is how this is done...
1 - You may post ANY pictures you want. NSFW IS allowed, I repeat, IS allowed.
2 - Once you post something, you may not delete it, however, you can delete someone elses photo if you wish.
3 - I will be turning off write access to this folder, either on April 1st, or when the drive is full, whichever comes first
** There is currently about 8 GBs of free space still
4 - Once this is done, I will update the OP with the 10 photos that I have favorited myself. Should one or more than one of these be NSFW, they will be PhotoShopped with black boxes so that they can still be posted here.
5 - Upon being posted here, I will also update the OP to show a poll for favorite of the 10. Based on votes cast at the end of April, the upload winner will get something of use for their cellphone/tablet from me.
So, should the MODS actually allow this post to stay, I say...Let the posting begin!!

Answer, Anything you want. This can be food, nature, cars, girls, guys, houses, the sky, water, your creepy neighbor, that NSFW of your ex, yourself, etc....
Why am I doing this?
Answer: Because I am bored. And I'm curious what people will post when there is a prize involved, or without repercussions of said upload.

Given that this is a public folder, go ahead and share the link and get others involved too. Why not.
Anyone can view the contents of the folder, but to add or delete, you have to sign into Google

Interesting concept. Nevertheless you could imgur. I find Google Drive clunky for pictures. Also imgur has unlimited space.

I'm only using Google Drive, because I already have it, and it allows tracking of the uploader, come gift time. IDK much about imgur. :-/

2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It's not acceptable to post nude/pornographic imagery, which includes exposure of the male or female genitalia or of female breasts.
2.5 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
