WHEN I USED BEPE'S KITCHEN,I FOUND sms CAN RECEIVE sms,BUT CAN'T OPEN IT,ARE ANYONE KNOW THIS PROBLEM?
I had the same problem... I fixed it... but I broke half of the ROM while doing so... which is why I didn't release my JustClean and started it from scratch. (I haven't had time to work on it since then, but I AM going to release a modified version of Bepe's kitchen to cook my ROM with a few hundred OEM Packages, including which keyboard driver you want...)
If you figure out how to fix it, tell me. I'm curious.
i found the problem is aboututres.dll.0409.mui and tapres.dll.0409.mui.
when i use BEPE'S kitchen,I found NO problem.
we hope it come out now
tks

It seems that many programs crash asking for .Net cf 2.0 but my Wing comes with it from the factory (WM6.) To make it worse, if I try to install it, I get an error that a newer version was found already installed and the install aborts.
I wasn't even aware that you could install/upgrade .NET on your PPC...

Compact Framework, not the desktop version.
I had the same problem as you... and it was "fixed" when I went with the PDAVIET rom.
Theres a 3.5 BETA CF installation out there... see if that will help?

Thanks! I tried the 3.5 and it helped with SOME of the programs but not all...
Does the Wing have to be unlocked to run the PDAVIET rom? My wing is starting to slow down a lot and I hate having to do so much configuring just to make the stock tmobile rom to be somewhat usable.
I had the same problem with CF 2, and since it's built into WM6, there's nothing that can be done.
Regarding being able to install a new rom, The author who coded the program that allowed me to install PDAVIET v14 on my Wing is currently working on releasing the tool that will allow installation on the Wing.
Apparently the PDAVIET roms ... V15 and V14 are totally different. Because v15 is based on HTC or Dopod ship rom and v14 is based on T-mobile rom... so that's why some people are able to install the 15, but not the 14.
This is being worked on as we speak, and will hopefully be out soon.
And I see he just let you release it!! Awesome! I'm going to do this as soon as I get home. ^_^
So, which one runs better? The 14 or the 15? (And can I install either one with that tool?)
All,
sorry if already discussed but I can't find it, if so.
I'd like to upgrade/update Manila which is part of Bepe's 0.95 built to the newest one. As we cannot uninstall it, how should it work with the update/upgrade process? will the newer version only be installed over the old one or will some files be replaced? What about storage? TF3D has about 10MB, also if I will put the new one on? Would that be additional?
Is anybody out there who already did that?
thx'n advance
prince
if it's in the ROM it's not possible AFAIK.
you clould update your rom and get a newer manila. 0.95 is a bit old. but hey, if you like it, then your stuck with that version.
thx for that
, so far.
Guess I will try it No risk no fun. Will do a backUp before installing the newer TF3D version.
To be honest, I guess I flashed about 10 roms the last 14 days and returned back to Bepe's cause stability and speed. Anyways, what shall be so new on with the newer TF3D version?
Hi,
Noticed there were 2 different roms by itje, and I was wondering what the differences were... I read posts and couldn't find any infos.
Thanks in advance,
Seb
4.5 has never passed the "beta" stage, 5.05 is more stable. In one word, bugs
Thank you, guess v5 is better then. =)
Yes. Also uses newer versions of TF3D, WM and other software.
i have now had my xperia for a month (did a SE R2A...10 update from their update utility earlier)... and now i am willing to update it to either Touch IT v5 or WM6.5..wondering if anyone has used both and is willing to share the experience... is it a wise move to update to itje's 6.5 rom yet ?
hm... I'm using the 6.5 at the moment and for me its great.
altough itje said its not ready for daily use there are no bugs for me
Does Touch-IT v5 RC2 contains every thing in v4.5 ?
because I'm using 4.5 and I like it, I don't want to lose any thing from 4.5 rom when I update to v5
Hello
I used now 5.05 RC for a week and had no issue.
It is a great stable ROM.
Today I flashed the new 6.5 beta - I was so interested to see the improvements in WinMo since the last beta.
BUT X1 is my play Handy. For productivity I use my iPhone - I need a phone that runs well always.
when phone is locked, and you get a call....after the call, you cant unlock the phone
Hello
Does any one know whats happen after 1/12 whit the 23420?
i notice in the notifications that it will stop workin and i don't want to go back to the 6.5
Someone hear anything?

timebomb
Think you have to search for a timebomb fix. Then you can use it foreever.
Ok thanx i'll try that
timebomb
did some research for you. looks like you have to use a pachted shell32.exe. i don't no how it works exactly but found this for the build that you are using. Hope it helps you. Good luck. http://www.htcspain.com/roms-toshib...-sobre-version-oficial-wm-6-5-xda-t26118.html
Wonder if it's really needed to apply the timebomb patch since I think all cheffs are already did this for you.
Why is it timebombed? All the other ROM builds seem to be fine?
Almost all new builds are timebomb but it's fixed in almost every rom. It is to prevent users from using outdated beta's I think.
Once again, im a little confused...i have a brand new X1..am thinnking what should I do...
should i upgrade to WM 6.5..(I dont want a cooked ROM, iwant an official 6.5 OS that i can install, upgrade, like we do when we go to Vista to Win7 etc.
BTW: Can u provide me a link for an unofficial but clean OS)
OR
Should I go on installing a cab of a TouchFlo3d
OR
Flash my X1 with a cooked ROM (still cant understand which one)
Thanx a lot..
Personally if your even contemplating flashing your X1, you might as well go with one of the 6.5 builds, they are far superior in My Opinion to the 6.1
there are several good ones out there, so its personla choice as to which you use, I guess it depends on Features cooked in, applications, battery life, stability etc.
Flash Cooked ROM with 6.5. Recent ones are very fast due to having better drivers support as opposed to stock roms
Cab of TF3D won't be optimized.. would be sluggish
alrite i agre with what you are saying cykalu, but then again, these cooked ROMs wont be originals rite? and not only that, are they all BETA or full and final ROMs??
Just wanted to know...

They won't be original but Sony Ericsson decided not to give X1 users the latest (6.5) updates. Therefore all cooked 6.5 roms are much better than original because the chefs has included and tweaked around with X2's drivers so X1 can use them which are more optimized than SE's stuff.
Beta or no Beta, as long as they work it's good. look at Windows 7 RC2, it's beta but it was basically the final after a few minor patches..
If you aren't a user who likes fiddling with your device I recommend you stick with stock ROMs. Cooked ROMs usually have bugs which range from minor to game-ending (e.g. the reset bug that seems to exist in every cooked ROM).
Personally I'm not a fan of Touchflo (especially the Leo version), it makes the inconsistent WM interface even more inconsistent.
If you really want WM6.5, flash gtrab's 5.07 ROM and install the X2 cabs from the themes and applications forum. It'll be as close as you can get to a WM6.5 ROM upgrade. There are only two bugs with this ROM that I've found, one of which is fixed by installing the X2 dialer (the other one is the reset bug that every ROM seems to have). Just sync with MS My Phone or something to minimise the impact.

I know exactly how you feel about modifying your new xperia...I was like this one month ago...My xperia is only 3 months old so I was little nervous....So I went through all the flashing tutorials in here and also downloaded BioVolt's video tutorials...And one month back I flashed my xperia for the first time...I flashed it with the Xperia Unoffcial release ROM, I did all the steps exactly as it was mentioned in the tutorials and my xperia was flashed successfully...but after that I tried to do the hard reset, I wasnt able to do hard reset twice...I thought I bricked my phone ....i was little panic...I once again went through the tutorials and done it third time...This time I was able to do a hard reset successfully and my phone booted up with the new Unofficial Xperia 6.5...after that I flashed 2 or 3 ROMs and finally sticked up with Sonblack's SB20 release which I found to be stable, fast and attractive with its touchflow manila interface...I dint had any weird experience with this one...
