If XDA was not HERE !!! POOL

I want to open this POOL and please all members answer corectly.
HOW MANY if you will BUY any WinMo or Android Device if there was not comunity like XDA ?
Its True that HTC and Microsoft Without XDA.... are nothing.
Who is trying to make your devices run faster? The Members of XDA
Who is trying to make your device look much better? The Members of XDA
Who is trying always to have UPDATES even when Microsoft and HTC do not release any Software Updates for your Device? The Member of XDA
And this is just example...
I think that HTC and Microsoft need to know all this and minimum they need to buy for each XDA Developer one Bentley.. because if they was not HERE.. Nobody will spend thousend of $$$$ to have one Device without a Support.
And to recive some stupid apps from Windows Marcetplace with 90% of them are useless.​

Yes but you dont understand the question..
Is true that have other sites for WinMo Devices and etc But for example
in ppcgeeks do the peoples cook ROMs.. or in MODACO just google all the FIX all the UPDATE and tricks.. are made in XDA and they are post in diferent sitest.
So if was not here XDA what ROM`s and Updates will be posted in all other sitest?
Maybe will pop up one new cooked ROM per YEAR LOL

I will get rid for around a 30 days of using my Blackstone with the Stock ROM and even im not able to install a THEME with sure i will put it in the TRASH and will never buy a WinMo Device.

I actually came to XDA because I got a Wallaby and later a Blue Angel, so XDA was not my defining factor for buying WM devices. Having said that, I would probably not have a serious case of ORD if it wasn't for XDA ...

I bought and loved Android before I knew about xda.

Well I bought my first device not realizing XDA existed, but I would definitely make sure XDA had forums 9or was getting them) for any potential new device in the future

I had an Ipaq pda for years before I found xda. But after I bought my second one (an Imate) I found xda. I realized i did not get full value from my Ipaq. I have had several WM phones since and love xda. And I do love my WM phones.
However, without xda I probably would have moved to an (ugh) Iphone years ago. So may thanks to xda for saving me.

Or @ least know that it's a capable phone ie: flashable\rootable so XDA can facilitate a forum for the device

Well technically some of us are on XDA a 3rd of each day (no names) and we sleep for a 3rd of each day and work/school for the other 3rd......so who is it that has no life???

although i spend hours on xda looking at the off-topic section and uni and artemis =] even if i can get on from school i will check at the latest threads and updates =]

I think it still counts as when i went back to the page the vote option wasn't visible but the count had gone up by one.

[TAKING REQUESTS!] Custom Boot Animations

I DID NOT BREAK YOUR PHONE. You did. You chose to flash this. You chose to read this. You chose to follow my instructions. Erego, You broke your phone. Why? Because you chose to skip ahead a step, not read correctly or maybe even ignore a step altogether. When it all boils down to it, I am not liable for any of the mistakes you make, break or fake to get you a new phone. All i can say is, if you come at me with allegations and grief, you will get nothing but laughter.
On that note, i recommend buying phones from Best Buy and pre-paying for Black Tie Protection. They replace phones that have been bricked or whatever...even if you caused it or flashed something wrong...they have even replaces 3 of my Thunderbolts during trial and error tests.
I have made a couple boot animations for now. I always do my best to make them high quality and work properly.
If there is something i cannot do, I will tell you! Otherwise, take a look at some of the stuff ive made, submit a request for what you'd like, and ill see what i can do!
And of course, you can feel free to use the ones ive made! Just show thanks and let them know who made it!
Note: I do not know how to upload these animations in the form of a .gif to display them. If you know how, please let me know via PM or something. Also, if the links do not work for downloading from this/these descriptions, i will always attempt to include them in new posts or at the bottom.

I feel like a very good one would be the .gif of Sam Jackson just staring at you from the movie "black snake moan" shouldn't be too many frames to do either. If you know how to do the sound you could have Sam's. "say what one more time"

For now, Only out of videos. I am reading up a little bit during my free time on how to use Adobe after effects and stuff. Ill announce when i feel comfortable enough to make some from scratch. Though i am certain those would be VERY much harder, longer and tedious to make and perfect correctly.

Ill get on it. Though the sound doesn't really have much to do with that part...maybe like crickets or something, since he's giving the "not amused" stare.

Having this as a boot animation would be SICK. Ive yet to find anyone that has been able to recreate it. Id like the sound and all. I even contacted the creator and asked if he would be able to do it and he said he didnt know how. lol.

i got a lot im workin on right now. just chiming in and making sure people dont think im abandoning them. Ill post some fruits of my labor soon. Though, im having a big issue getting framerates to LOOK right on my Thunderbolt...

Could u make one of the start up screen from gta vice city? That would be amazing. The one where it shows a blue computer screen an then u hear some typing and hear a lil jingle at the end, that would totally make me cum in my pants

i had not synced the account. was testing a new build of the sapphire ROM.
there is no way to lose any data or info, since i had flashed a rom and synced nothing.
i called my operator, locked and deactivated my sim.
feeling sooo @#$%$#$ ...nevertheless, it was a sheer pleasure to be a part of this great forum. i learnt a lot. EVERYONE of you is a great person.
the level of integration among the members in the p970 forum is hardly seen in any other forum.

guys...missing android tooooo much, let alone the optimus black
i picked up a x2-01 for the time...(yes, am COMPLETELY financially broke after the operation).
i even deleted ALL my SNS accounts (FB, twitter, g+, etc) cause am really hurt. the ONLY ones entering my room were my friends and relatives coming to greet and pray for speedy recovery!!!!

well...get the ICS working and i will FOR SURE get the optimus black again. in fact, am already having a talk with a person selling a optimus "white" 3 months old for ~300$ (15,200 INR). i just LOVED the cell. my friends having big heavy bricks used to find am excuse to use the black (nd this might led some1 to STEAL the black from me ).
nevertheless, just get the ICS working, nd i'll buy the optimus white (the "black" is already 99% sexy, but the white version just blows EVERY other cell out of water in terms of looks)

i have zeroed down to
1. a 1 yr 4month old HD2 (well used though. the person using dosen't even know about xda & stuff & selling it for 11,200 INR
2. a few month old optimus black (white). looks new and sexy. never rooted. getting it for 13,000 INR
[INR= Indian rupees; 1$ = 50 INR (roughly) ]
if it was ANY other cell, i would 100% have gone for the HD2, but i LOVE the look & hardware of the optimus black and heartily miss this great forum.
so, what do you guys suggest??P970 again or the HD2??

If there is already a thread that pretty much says the same thing why not just add to it rather then making your own.
The new one is just going to get locked and give MODS more work.

I'm gonna slightly disagree with this... Respectfully of course (old wink) and say that I wouldn't bother going to the about thread because as somebody above mentioned, this is not a democracy, those in charge have settled on new smileys and therefore new smileys it is....
I don't particularly like them either and will continue to take the piss until it gets old but hey, ya know what? If a set of forum smileys are something that causes you to get even slightly worked up then take solace in the fact that you must not really have anything serious to worry about.

I'm personally not too fussed by the new faces, but I did prefer the old ones. The new ones are all , leaving me a little :cyclops:.
