This fix is only for wm6.0
The one thing that anoyed me the most is the slow scrolling in pie when you load a "large"page.
This fixed it for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1503310&postcount=1480
I only used webview.dll from that archive and replaced it with the one in my windows folder , reset and it works like a charm now!
Btw use at your own risk , i used this dll on helmi_c's latest cooked rom.
But it probably should work on other roms.
Edit: i have atached the file.
Edit 2:
Lokmeup posted a cab file for this, you can find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1593807&postcount=33
Thanks lokmeup!
How does the fix work? What does it do?
Its a part of pie's engine , probably from an older os.
However I can finally use pie normally again.

WOuld you mind uploading it to the forum or sending it to me via email. raopidshare doesnt work in this country.
Thanks.
I just put it in and it didn't change anything. I just replaced the webview.dll.
I am using the ATT Rom. Maybe I mis understood what this did. I was hoping it would change it to be more of a page down when you scroll as opposed to the way it scrolls now by hitting each line of text or graphic.

It does not change the way it scrolls just takes away the incredibly laggy scrolling on longer pages.

I can upload it to another server this evening a few hours away.
You have specified in your profile that you do not wish to receive emails
Mike
How can I overwrite the webview.dll? I tried with Resco Explorer, but it says it cannot be overwritten cause it's in the ROM. I cannot even copy it!
Thanks, guys!

I used resco explorer and it only gave a warning , but replaced the file fine.
So you did not copy the file before replacing?
When I installed that TCPMP software there was an HTM file that was added to my phone which had a bunch of links to video sites (some may have been .....ummmmm adult sites). Does anyone have that HTM file? I seem to have deleted it???
Thanks in advance!

1. its tcpmp
2. the htm file is from flashvideobundle, not tcpmp
3. the htm file should be in \program files\tcpmp\sites

Browse the installation cab file on your computer. You should find it there. Or, just reinstall it.
I knew I should have been more specific. I dont want to install that tcpmp software. I just want that HTM file. can someone upload it?
again, its not from tcpmp, its from flashvideobundle, and if you dont have fvb installed just the htm file is not going to work

next time u should search a lil better tho
you sure you quoted the right person timace?
ok, I don't know how much more specific I can be - LOL. I don't want to install either TCPMP or FVB. I only want the htm file with the video sites listed. The htm site will work for me even if I don't install either of those pieces of software, all it is is a locally stored "website" so to speak with links on it. So if I can get that file, I can see what the links were and I can click on them to try out a little experiment I am trying.
Thanks again in advance....
ok, if you insist
I've bundled up the homepage and icons from the kitchen FlashVideoBundle package - you should be able to just unzip them onto your phone (in the same folder) and the htm should have the icons on it.
Edit: Sorry XtreMe_G, guess you're a quicker typer than me!!
Thank You!!!

Hi,
is there a chance to save the opera favourites? Do I simply have to copy a file? Which one?
Thank you,
Hennes
Follow these instructions:
1) Goto to the path \Windows\Opera9\
2) Find the the file "Opera6.adr" [This file contains ur Fav's Links]
3) Backup tht file
If u need to confirm if u hve the rite file jus open it in word or in notepad within the mobile itself and u'll see all ur fav links...
Hope this help u out
Cheers
Thank you! That's what I'm looking for ;-)
Are the "Wand"-Passwords also stored in this file? Or can I save them anywhere else?

Cheers,
Can someone post the weather.apk from a hero rom? My g1 is the only net access I have right now and for some reason anytime I download a file bigger than a few megs on it, parts get corrupt. I'd like to poke around the apk. Thanks
Whenever I try to upload the zip it fails (trying to attach). It's in this Widgets folder JAC uploaded.
Unfortunately, that 8mb download is too big. The weather apk is one of the ones that gets corrupted. Could you try emailing the apk to me? Armonse at gmail dot com.
Would I be able to push the HTC weather.apk to my G1 that isnt running hero and have it work, or not?

Read my post, please? I said in the first post I want to look at some of the contents of the apk, I don't want to use it.
I honestly didn't think it would be such a task to obtain a <1mb file.

Not looking for task 29.
Flashed a new rom recently & found out that there is no clear storage link anywhere.
So just need to have the cab file for that.

You probably have the ClearStorage.exe in your \Windows\ folder.
If you do, just make a shortcut to it.
Not found in windows folder

I hope you know this file is hidden by default.
You can view these files in rom with Total Commander.
But anyway, attached is the ClearStorage files in a folder.
Just unzip anywhere you like, and hit ClearStorage.exe.
Using wajk's HYPER wm 28232 rom

Thank you so much HAMKENG, for posting the zip file of clear storage.
By the way I also sent a pm to WAJK & he replied that he does not cook the clear storage file in his rom, so that was the reason that I was not able to find it in the windows folder, as you had advised.
Anyways thank you once more.
