How do you get Today Apps starting from the bottom? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hey guys.
I love this forum and have had a great experience with everyone I have talked to so far. Thanks a lot.
I have not yet found a cab to remove the bottom title bar which usually has touch functions for the two soft keys, calendar and contacts. I am trying to remove this bar, does anyone know of any cabs that can accomlish that? I have only found a cab so far that removes the top but not the bottom.
Also I wanted to know if a program that can place items on my today screen starting from the bottom like an iPhone or LG Prada. I see many people on the Today screen post have that feature but I have yet to find the post where the program or method exist to perform that task. Thanks for your help guys.

For your first request, you can accomplish this with either of the following:
1. Vijay ToggleToday at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=243211&highlight=vjtoggletoday This allows you to toggle the bottom bar, top bar, or both. The latest version does appear to work on WM5 and WM6.
2. Wisbar Advance 3 - this is a commercial app that has a primary focus on task management and skinning your top bar; however a side benefit is the ability to remove the bottom bar.
I have no idea on your 2nd request. Good luck.

thanks for your help with the one issue I am having. appreciate it.

I tried installing Vijay ToggleToday but it could only clear the top menu bar and not the bottom. Have you got this to work on yours? I am currently using WM 6.1 and I think that might be an issue.
Is Wisebar a free program?

commercial app = not free

@Brianlau
Not your fault as a new member, but the matter you raise is not what we consider an upgrading (for which read "development" ) issue. We are currently considering re-naming "Upgrading etc" to something with the word development in it so it's not so confusing.
I will move your thread to the regular Kaiser Forum and leave an expiring re-direct here in case someone is in the middle of giving you an answer.
Cheers
Mike

I just got the app but am unsure which menu or settng you need to adjust in order to remove the bottom section of the soft keys. anyone know?

T-mobile Wing Mod Requests :)

hello all, i have a couple requests (most likely has to do with registry editing)
1: Hide the top bar (time, and stuff)
2: Have a big invisible x button to close programs (no need for stylus)
3: Hide bottom bar (calendar/contacts) but still be able to use the soft keys to access them
thanks a bunch in advanced
nice request
those are some nice request. but if someone even tries to cook this rom then we should think of giving them a donation for their work dont you think?

As taken from my guide:
Can I get rid of the "Contacts / Calendar" bar?
Dcino Bar is a great app to get rid of it. Simply place this app in your Windows/Startup folder, you can download it Here

you can still use the keys on the phone to access the "contacts or calendar"
thx a lot tyler, it worked great, is there anyway to make it invisible for all programs as well?
One of the Rom Cookers need to keep these ideas in mind...
Maybe have a version out which is fully powered by the touch cube and pocketCM default. Its becoming more smoother to use as a regular phone and I can see my calendar on the main screen!!!
i actually prefer a software solution rather than loading a new rom

The author of pocketCM asks that it not be included in ROMs.
Ugh... yes! I want a big x button so I don't have to turn my finger and slide it up in the corner to hit the x.
WM5 on the older PALM devices have the X button moved to the left so it's not up against the edge; can we do that on the thing by editing the registry somehow?

I use FTouchSL to do this. I made the top left active corner a close option so it closes the application thats open. You can set how many pixels it is & the amount of time it takes to activate. It works perfectly

Icons Bottom Screen & Remove Calendar

Friends,
How do I remove the calendar and contacts at the bottom of the screen and have icons like battery, wifi, bt, phone, etc?
please advise
tvos
You can use a program called SoftkeyChanger: http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/Kaiser Cab Collections/Softkey Changer.CAB
Or it can also be done by editing the registry.
do you know how to edit the registry to accomplish this?
also, how do I place the icons in the bottom task bar?
thank you,
tvos
anyone can help me..
trying to figure out how to place the icons at the bottom of the task bar and remove calendar and contacts.
pls advise!
tvos
I'm going to sound like a shill for Wisbar Advance (because I just answered another question with a solution that it provides) but it also has a feature that allows you to set the softkeys to pretty much whatever you want (or get rid of them altogether).

Did you get to read Sane to reply to you? You can download softkey changer and it will map those 2 keys to other applications / settings as you wish to.
yes, it worked fine for changing the softkeys....
thank you for the info. on wisebar.

tvos:
Did the above advice help you to achieve your aim? From what I understood, you wanted to remove the soft key links and try and place battery/ wifi indicators etc there instead?
The above programs will let you change which program the soft keys will link to, but will not let you place status indicators on the bottom bar, which I think is what you were trying to ask for.
Did you manage to work it out? Would be quite interested..
I was able to change the softkeys with the program suggusted "SoftkeyChanger" - that worked fine.
I haven't mess with wisebar yet to test and I don't think that is what I need.
I would just like to have the icons appear at the bottom bar of the "task bar" w/o the two worded short-cuts "contacts and communication".
I am using pocket toolman right now, but the icons are on the today screen.
Any easier way that you can sugguest?

Afraid not - I was hoping you'd had some luck. TBH, hadn't thought of that until I read your post, but I'm always keen to tweak the layout of the phone - slowly inching toward perfection (though hopefully I'll never get there - tweaking is so much fun!!)

Change Today Screen Scrollbar Graphics?

I've done my searches (yes more than one, using several key words ) before I get flamed.
Didn't quite know where to start this thread, but it seems software related, so will post here (plus, this forum looks a bit empty )
Onto the issue, i'd like to be able to change the scrollbar graphics on the today screen (see picture below), reason being I have a lot of appointments and stuff so it's almost always there, but it contrasts with the slick look of Dutty's WM6.1. I've noticed Confused Stu's "Mobile Vista" ROM (which is pictured below, great work stu ) has changed the scrollbar graphics, so I'd like to do my own. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
What you see in that image is the TodayAgenda plugin which I also use.
Here is the cab for you.
Enjoy.
Thanks MACKjam, looks interesting.
However, I was hoping to be able to create my own graphics for the scrollbar, in flash/PS/whatever. I'd love for it to be as easy as finding some .jpg/.bmp's and modifying them, but I know it won't be that easy
i ran across this thread and started using that plugin and i think it's great, my only issue is i still get the default today screen scroll bar, so i have 2 including the one in the today plugin. how do i disable the default scroll bar? i've been searching and diggin through registry and i just don't see that option.

Not sure you can, Fix the Height of TodayAgenda in the Layout tab so that I doesn't create scroll bars.
Ta,
Dave
very good thanks. that was driving me nuts.
Way to hijack someone elses thread!
Yeah thanks for that
O/J. but back on topic
Actually - That IS a good plugin!
Thanks!

Putting more than one appt. or icons on Manilla Home screen-please Help

Hello guys does anybody know a way of being able to see more than one calendar appointment, or the device lock icon, or skype icon on the Home screen of Manilla ROMs?
I tried a search but I didn't come up with anything substantial or useful enough to follow.
Thank you in advance

Take a look at the SecondToday plugin... If you use the TouchFlo2D settings tool (search the forums) you can make a softkey on the main tab that says something like "Agenda", and link it to secondtoday. Then use an application like G-Alarm and / or TodayAgenda for your today screen plugins. Inside of SecondToday you can set a softkey to "return" to TouchFlo2D by pointing it at SecondToday.exe (this kinda tricks it like the OK button)
This is what I have done, and it's very slick and solved my issues. Hopefully it helps you.
Thank you very much for the help

WM6.5 and top right button issue...

Hi everyone,
I just installed a WM6.5 rom on my Xperia X1.
UI is really beautiful, thanks XDA-Dev and X1iser for that.
Stability is not great but not worst than original firmware.
Using a soft, I encountered a problem trying to change the settings.
In WM6.1, there is a button in the top right corner of the screen, next to the time and used to check running apps when you are in the phone homepage or to close open application.
I know that to confirm settings changes, the 'Ok' button is located at this same place.
As in WM6.5, taskbar is handled another way, I can't confirm those changes. Maybe the soft is not compatible with WM6.5.
If anyone has an idea, to solve this, he's welcome.
Thanks in advance,
if you install xperia 2 task manager it will work but the text there and the task manager icon will overlap each other, but if you have a rom with the notification screen after you click on the top you may have a problem.

Thanks republicano !
I actually found that one of the hotkeys does what I needed.
But the page you sent is really interesting. I'll take a closer look asap.
Bye,
