connecting to two APN on the same time ? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I'm connected to Orange Israel cellular network. Orange got 2 APN for 3G connection. The first "uinternet" in open internet connection and the second "uwap.orange.co.il" is connection to Orange WAP network and to the internet through a proxy (port 80 only).
I got both APN defined the internet in the MY ISP connections and the wap in the My Work Network with the proxy setup.
On my previous device (HTC TyTN) with the official HTC ROM i was able to connect to both APN on the same time, having wap connection for the Exchange push mail and MMS while the internet connection used for a POP3 and iMap4 accounts.
Since switching to the Kaiser I can't connect to both on the same time, and if I send a MMS the device tries to switch to the wap connection and keep disconnecting due to the Exchange and Live push email keep reconnecting the internet connection.
Due anyone know how can I connect to both APNs and if not what is require to do (beside disabling the push email) to enable the APN switching ?

Using ATT iPhone SIM on Kaiser email problem

I am having a problem reading my POP3 email.
The Kaiser configured itself to ATT (with the iPhone SIM) and the connection appears as MEdia Net
Connection to the Internet (Explorer) Works OK and I get the H connection. I am in Los Angeles.
However when attempting to read my email (Shows 3G) I get a "cannot connect with current connection setting" and gives me the option of going to Connections settings Where I get MediaNet or My Work Network. (It is set to go to MediaNet I believe)
I know the POP3 settings are correct as they work great via WiFi.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
yes change medianet to My Isp wap.cingular settings and everything will be fine.
the settings are:
wap.cingular
username: WAP.CINGULARGPRS.COM
password: cingular1
THANK YOU.
My ISP connection was auto set by the Kaiser to
isp.cingular
username: ISP.CINGULARGPRS.COM
Per your suggestion I changed ISP to WAP and all seems well
Thanks again

WiFi and GPRS conflict on my Tytn II I need Help

I am no longer able to connect to the Internet via my home WiFi network. I am able to WiFi connect to the network without any problems, but when I try to use any application that accesses the Internet the phone looks for a GRPS connection. I do not have a data account attached to my sim as I live in Australia, and as far as that sort of thing go, we are a backwater…
The WiFi connection and access was previously working fine until I tried to disable the GPRS from trying to connect, as this would routinely bring up messages informing me that a GPRS connection could not be made. I do not know what settings I have changed but I cannot seem to reverse the situation.
I have soft reset a number of times, I have re-run the connection wizard, etc my current settings are as follows:
WiFi:
Wireless
Configure Wireless Networks –
.MyWirelessNetwork Connected
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork

No connections have been set up here

Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: Vodafone Internet Settings
Programs that automatically connect to a Private network should connect using: My Work Network

I do not know if this is all the info need to sort this out, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have done allot of customising and I really don't want to have to a Hard Reset. I can connect through all applications, if I am connected by USB.
Thanks
First you need to make sure your connection is set to use My Work Network as first priority. Next you need to make sure that the WiFi connection connects to WORK NOT the INTERNET. probably your problem, did the same thing on my 8125

Hi there,
Can someone please help by advising me on how to overcome this problem.
If I broadcast my SSID, the device connects fine, but when I stop broadcasting, the device will show that the network is unavailable. I did check the "This is a hidden network" checkbox option, in the settings.
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork
Connects By: Work

Configure Wireless Authentication-

Please help,... many thanks!
Kind regards,

Pop3 mail via WLAN and GPRS

Hi,
I'm currently running L24 V4 and I experience an anoying problem in the internet connection using pop3 email (messaging). When I enable my WLAN it won't send/receive my email via this connection. Instead it opens a GRPS connection. This is not what I want. The second problem is that when I try to connect trough gprs it only works when I set the network connection in advanced server settings of "edit account setup" of my pop3 account to "Vodafone GPRS". Settings like "work" and "the internet" doesn't let me connect to grps at all. So doing this way it looks like I'm forcing the email connection to GPRS.
I have this problem only for email. Browsing the internet goes fine. If I have WLAN it goes trough wireless. If WLAN is not on it opens GPRS. For mail this doesn't work.
Any idea?
Cheers!
Martin
I have this same exact problem. Is this a known problem or does anyone have a fix? I'm using the official HTC WM6.1 rom btw.
Also, just to clarify, if I change the Network connection setting to 'The Internet' in the POP3 email settings, I can send/receive email over wifi but not via GPRS/3G. If I change the Network connection setting to 'MEdia Net' (US AT&T GPRS/3G connection), I can send/receive email via GPRS/3G, and it always uses GPRS/3G even if wifi is available. All other internet programs I use (Internet Explorer Mobile, Opera Mini, CorePlayer, HTC Home weather) connect over wifi when available instead of using GPRS/3G.

i900 Omnia Interent Wifi, 3G and USB

Gents,
How can I make all appication in my Omnia to recognize the internet connection currently in use and use it?
When I am connceted via WiFi if I want to use brawser it connects to 3G. If I am connceted to 3G I can not use my gmail via Messanging.
When I want to update the weather it connects to MMS.
My settings>connections>connections>advanced>select network are:
Programs to Interent: WAP GPRS (from my provider)
Programs to Private network: My Work Network (proxy not connected to interent)
yes, I am also having this problem, even when its sat next to the router it is still conecting up to the 3G connection, I think I am going to have to that vodaphones £5 for half a gig download of expect some big bills!!!!
Anyone help us out there!!???:
some problems solved
Here is what I have found so far.
1. To connect to interent via WiFi without 3G
In My settings>connections>connections>advanced>select network are:
Programs to Interent: My Work Network (proxy connected to interent)
Programs to Private network: My Work Network (proxy not connected to interent)2. To connect to Interent via 3G
My settings>connections>connections>advanced>select network are:
Programs to Interent: WAP GPRS (from my provider)
Programs to Private network: My Work Network (proxy not connected to interent)+ all application set to connect to The Interent
for browsers it works fine but I still have problem with Messaging. I use Gmail and it can not send and receive. It does connect to 3G network but send and receive does not work.

Strange Internet Behavior

I have an ATT Fuze that I unlocked. I use in Canada and have a Rogers wireless SIM and an ATT SIM. Got the internet configs for Canada, and I am able to synch my exchange email, browse internet on opera, but get time outs in IE. I am guessing that IE remains configured to my MEdia Net configuration or there is some hidden mis config'd proxy, but that is really a guess.
Here is my config:
Created new network profile "Rogers"
networkproxy settings tab has set to connect to internet
proxy server is unchecked
Created a connection "My Connection"
Modem is set to Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
Access point name: internet.com
User name: wapuser1
Password: wap
no domain
no advanced settings
When I use my ATT sim in the states, all is well. I change SIMS and my profile when in Canada and get the behavior I described above.
What is interesting is that the first time I used this Fuze in Canada after the unlock I had only email connectivity - No Opera or IE. I applied the "Beat the Bloat" steps and gained Opera connectivity, but IE still no worky! Any suggestions or ideas?

Found the fix. All is well!
