I recently bought a second hand HTC Universal (either an 02 or Tmobile branded, case says one thing, fw says another) as I couldn't afford an HTC Ultimate (the ones with nvidia gpu).
Anyways, upon trying to use my Targus Universal Wireless Keyboard with the Universal, it didn't work, but it worked fine with my Sony PSP (through homebrew software).
I was using a driver downloaded from a driver storage site (can't remember which one). I read somewhere after a bit of research that the keyboard wouldn't work on pocket pc 2003SE (as opposed to plain 2003).
Is there anybody else with this keyboard? Have you found a driver that will run on windows mobile 6.1 pro (a lovely cooked ROM from here on xda-dev)? Is there any generic IR keyboard driver avaliable which might be configured to use this keyboard?

Hello,
some weeks ago I have this discovered this mini-keyboard, which you can link to the PC via bluetooth and use as a keyboard and mouse:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3848&cl=us,en
http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj0MF58-ElA
My first impression when I saw it, it was that this device looks similar to my TyTn 2, especially when the PDA has the keyboard open...
So, this is exactly my question. Exists any kind of software for my PDA that allows to link the keyboard of the TyTn to the PC and, for example, use its touch-screen as a mouse?
Thanks
very interesting i would also be very interested in this as well...
That is a pretty good idea. I got a freee BT keyboard from amazon though.
yea there is, but it uses wifi. I can't remember the name of it now, but I think it was posted already. I will look when I get home.

Last week I begun developing/experimenting on such an app, to use the kaiser as a bluetooth HID mouse.
I did manage to get windows to recognize and install it as a HID mouse, but could not establish a connection. The problem is that the M$ bluetooth stack does not seem to allow me to attach to the L2CAP layer and implement my custom profile (the HID profile in this case).
If anyone has more information on how to access the L2CAP, please share .
The kaiser would be a wonderful remote mouse/keyboard for my htpc configuration!

Hey guys, I have a piece of software I use from my laptop that datalogs and flashes OBD-II ECM's. Its a very simple software built into a single executable. The software requires .Net 3.5, which I found "Windows Compact Framework 3.5". Now is there a way to install that, and the openport2 usb drivers for the obdII device onto my touch pro and run the software executable from it?
I would really like to run this off my cell phone since its easier to keep my phone battery alive in a car then it is a laptop. Plus its a lot less crap to lug around. Thanks for any help!
No.
.Net 3.5 is different to .Net Compact Framework 3.5 (the latter is mostly a cut down version of the former, but with the required mobile apis).
You can not install windows drivers on windows mobile.
Your cable would not work as the phone is a usb guest, not host. I understand there are hacks to get it to act as a usb host but driver support is limited.
In short: Its a phone not a laptop, sorry!

can i ask what the program is? ive been looking for something simple to datalog on my obdii car.
This people on http://www.autoenginuity.com/ does have an application for connect their OBD II equipment to a Pocket PC. May be with this aplication someone can help you... http://www.autoenginuity.com/dloads/pocketpc_scantool_install.zip
Good Luck
Looks like in order to get that to work, you'd need to get the adapter that plugs into the odbii port, and then bluetooth adapter (http://www.autoenginuity.com/products-hardware.html) unless you've got a serial cable & adapter... might be worth it, let us know if you decided to set that one up... I'm using my SCT and a netbook to log data currently.
Maybe check this out, I was planning on ordering one, but never really got around to it.

Buy a NETBOOK.
I use it with my VAG-COM all the time.
I'd have to second SH4YD33 on that one, I do the same. VAG-COM on my netbook.
I bought bluetooth interface from ebay (noname) and its working with notebook, even connect to my Nokia 6300, but I have problem to connect it to my Touch Pro. I try OBDGauge 1.1. Any suggestions?
I'd like to use an external bluetooth keyboard with the HD2.
It should:
1) Be compatible with HD2
2) Be compact / foldable
3) Should include "mouse" support (touchpad, trackpoint, ...)
4) If possible it should be able to hold the HD2 (Athena like)
Could anybody recommend one?
Would HD2 transparently work with any BT/HID keyboard including the mouse support (pointer displayed on HD2 screen driven by trackpoint/touchpad from BT keyboard)?
Same here. Just wanted to push this thread. I would be very much interested in having such a device since my laptop is crap and I never gonna buy one again.
HD2 questionmarks
Nobody has an experience connecting bluetooth keyboard and mouse to Windows Mobile device???
And second question: is there a chance that HD2 is physically able to have USB Host and TV Out, but there just aren't drivers and TV cable at the moment?
I have - I used to use BlueInput drivers from Teksoft to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with my Touch HD.
Unfortunately however the HD2 seems to be using Broadcom bluetooth stack drivers that aren't compatible with BlueInput (Touch Pro2 owners have the same problem), so now I can't use then anymore -_-... at least until they make the BlueInput software compatible with Broadcom drivers or some Chef hacks in the Microsoft Bluetooth stack into a custom rom.
Haven't tried the default Stowaway keyboard drivers that came with the keyboard though, so maybe I can get the keyboard working again, but not the mouse until BlueInput is working.
Also very interested! Love how the Celio Redfly worked with my X1 but with HD2 no luck so far...
yep looking on with much interest
Guys, redfly is working. for both bluetooth connection and usb.
Also, as for kb, i recommand logitech dinovo mini. Its great
conect usb keyboard
I like to connect usb keyboard is this possible....i need help.. the bluetooth keyboard i dont like it because it takes to connect ...is posible for usb.
thank gracias
Dear Folks
I have the iGO bluetooth keyboard that works great - I purchased this about 18 months ago for use with my Nokia E63.
Now I keep it on my desk and is an excellent way of replying to emails and text messages.
I am going to try SWYPE, for when I'm on the move.
Regards
ADC (Yateley, UK)
I have tried a few blutooth keyboards but you can't seem to use the arrow keys like you would want to..
The arrow keys work fine on my BB keyboard.

It seems we'll have this the easy way. Teksoft has posted a news on their site, about a Broacom compatible Blueinput version.
Hello,
I have smart bluetooth keyboard KB600 (about four years old) and I'm looking for driver for my HD2, any idea?
Thank you.
did you try pairing it directly without a bt driver?
Pairing HD2 and bluetooth keyboard
I am trying to pair the same device: My HD2 finds the keyboard, and is able to connect via SPP slave. But I am not able to type anything? ... anybody? I am using a COM2 port for the connection, and the HD2 is "always visible", I have no clue why it's not responding! ANY help is appreciated
Same problem here............ PLEEase help
HTC HD2 and BK600 COM ONE/OMIZ/FREEDOM bt keyboard issue
Hi,
first, accept apologies, because i repost a message posted in the wrong thread (same problem, but not same phone)
Home \ HTC Diamond: Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV \ Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Accessories \ Bluetooth Keyboard BK600 problem
anyway, they explain that my com one bk600 is the same than omiz and freedom KB600. So, i've tested 2 drivers
1) Installing omiz one, it proposes me several choices (my model is not in it), but i've used to have this installer (older version) work for my old acer n50 and my pharos. I guess i've to choose a model with arm and widcomm bt.
No success, it seems that the software installed, but the application claims it's not a valid ppc applicaiton (strange because it worked one time and fails saying that there is not enough memory when clicking activate)
2) i've tested the freedom universal keyboard (second choice)
The driver installs perfectly; on the htc hd2 side i've paired the devica and grant connexions (the wizard report that the device is connected and the keyboard double green blink -- thats mean it's ok ) , but when i go to program files freedom utility and start it and click on connect, it claim that the device is not paired.
here where i'm. To bad, because having it works onACER n50 and HTC pharos.
Quoting another user, to pay $80 for 3 years lifetime...
Any ideas ???
Best regards,
Ludovic.
got the same problem. (BK600 and HD2)
Any success yet?
got the same problem here. i tried many drivers i found on the internet, none worked for me
next step is: i try to find a universal driver that can select a com-port manually to link with the bluetooth comport. maybe some infrareddriver can do this, because infrared also uses com-ports.
the problem is, the drivers are for microsoft bluetooth stacks and i.e. a hd2 uses broadcom as far as i know.
i hope anyone can find a solution
SPP keyboards do not work for WM builds 6 and over. This problem has existed for years and no one has found a solution.
I suggest you ditch the SPP keyboard and go with one that supports a HID profile.
Hi guys,
I had the BK600 keyboard and found these drivers to work:
It installs the proper program and works only through the programs. Do not bother trying to pair it with WM settings.
This also works on Symbian. I attached the files for you to test.
I am wondering whether there is an Android version that I can use with my HD2?
I was able to get the freedom BK600 keyboard working succesfully with my old windows mobile 6.1 Treo 800w phone. I found your WinCE.zip (30.0 KB) driver worked best with windows mobile 6.1. It places an executable called BTKeybd under the programs menu.
For Android users, please use Key Pro by Mobile Gears. It is the only SPP bluetooth enabled app that I can find. Works perfectly with my Android.
Is there anyway to broadcast the G1 to a tv. I know there a cable OEM HTC TV Out Cable ACT100 and it Compatibility for Dream and My touch 3G. Has anyone use this cable?
I haven't, but I never even considered this... I don't remember seeing anything about tv-out, and sometimes cable manufacturers will claim that it's compatible, when it really isn't. I hate to give you an "I don't know" answer, but I would like to help prevent someone from buying something that is useless to them. If you just go ahead and buy it, remember to post back here and tell us if it works!
Won't work.
I brought the act110 cable and it's not compatible with my g1. I also spoke to the people at t-mobile who informed me that g1 doesn't have the driver compatible with g1. It's a windows based software. I've also downloaded enable tv out cab on g1. Nothing seems to work.the enable tv out cab would more than likely work on a windows mobile phone along with the cable.

I also have the act110 cable, it works out of the box with my Touch pro 2 Winmo phone and I also have a G1 phone. Not only it software incompatible, it also don't have the hardware for TV-out for the G1. The .cab file is a Window mobile .exe equivalent and not Andriod(linux) OS file. Maybe future Andriod phone support it. We hope with mini-hdmi or a 720p and up tv-out.
In order to output to TV, you need to run a vnc server on the android phone, and link up with it using another computer plugged into your TV.
