If you in.ex brick your device, I undestand that you wanna fix it as fast as possible, and that you in panic post 100's of threads asking same question:
"I did this or that, blahblah, and my phone is dead/bricked/stuck in bootloader and so on,please help me im desperate...."
Not only do many post many threads in diffrent sections, they send several pm, and make contact on msn and mail.
DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE THAT, its damn annoying. I hate beeing contacted this way. I GET THE FRICKEN MESSAGE, and if I dont answer within a day or two then im not gonna answer. Its that easy.
So, please dont pm, msn, email or w/e to me if you have issues with bricking, flashing, soft reset, hard reset, where to find a fix to all the worlds problems and why you cant get it up......
I know I might sound like I need to calm down. But actually I am not "pissed off" I just dont have the time to help all with these issues, and when I say that word "all" I mean all, YOU included.
Im not answering anymore posts, pm, msn or email on theese issues, so dontwast your time.

This is funny, but then again it's not. This thread is definitely collecting views indeed. So Itje, your thoughts are indeed "felt" and "respected", by me and many others here. But those few anxious ones, I'm unsure as to why they post the same question(s) in different threads and forums. Laziness I suppose. I once was a junior noob, now I'm a senior noob helping others (as best as I can).
PS. Itje, you are a celebrity here, and those that constantly ask you for advice and complain, they are the paparazzi chasing you around. I'll be a bodyguard if you like, lol. I work in the justice system (in the states) so I know what it's like to have many people coming up to you asking for hookups, advice, and complain, and you are just trying to do what you enjoy with what you know. It's a headache and a half for sure.

No, but what Itje said is true. It does get annoying to be read messages or posts that deal with topics about their phones being bricked. Yes they're panicked, and yes they want to resolve the problem as soon as possible, but that's why we usualy posts warnings about flashing stuff to their phones. Realisticly, if you don't have the patience to do a search and look for answers, then you probabaly won't have the patience to follow the proper steps to flash a device, and that will result in a brick.

I am a Wizard owner. My sister has a Wing behaving badly. I came here to search a fix for her and stumbled upon your thread. PROPS TO YOU!!! I know the Wizard section is constantly mucked up with multiple threads, please help me....blah blah blah. I have taken to answering those threads with my new mantra:
DO NOT ATTEMPT ANYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE WITHOUT FIRST READING EVERY WIKI AND STICKY IN THIS SECTION (at least 3 times each!)...USE THE SEARCH BUTTON, READ PEOPLE'S SIGGY'S AS LINKS ARE OFTEN POSTED THERE TO HELP. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE AND/OR FIX YOUR DEVICE WITHOUT FIRST UNDERSTANDING YOUR DEVICE.
I am sure this often comes off as rude, but I feel your "pain" and found that sometimes a panicking noob needs this tough love, and will calm down, breathe, and discover the solution is right in front of them.

Yeah its pretty bad that people are just diving in without taking the time to understand what they are actually doing when they change the os on their phones. Ive bricked mine at least twice today, but I know how to fix it. Its really simple to fix half the problems that we have when we screw with our gear.
If it doesnt boot, or boot right. Hard reset.
That doesnt fix it. Boot loader. Set back to factory.
This stuff is really simple. Building Roms. Different story.

I think the mods should include a "search first" rule. If anyone posts something thats been discussed they should get a warning, and if it happens again, ban them. I've seen this on tons of forums that have this same problem and it works out quit well .

But if you READ READ READ you won't brick your device. There's always a risk, there's always the possibility, but I can't remember the last time I actually bricked ANY device! I'm not a huge fan of the current flashing method for these custom Wing ROMs - largely because the official RUU flasher is just... more reliable. But regardless, I've STILL not bricked my phone, because I FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.
I think that people get so excited and think it's EASY and ANYONE can do it. And they kill their systems. It's a similar situation with people who MOD their PS2 or Wii or DS or PSP, they routinely muck it up because they can't be arsed to go read the stickies and do some research before jumping in.

Modding your phone is much like sex. At first you are excited to get down and dirty so you dive right in and it often is disappointing (because you didn't know what you were doing-damn virgins), but as you do it more, you get better at it, and eventually you have moments when you go "damn I'm good"!!
The first time you mod your phone, you are excited and really likely to muck it up. But as you get to know your device, and experiment, you have those moments when you finish cooking a rom or something, and go..."damn I rock". But until you get to know the how's and why's, you will often be met with disappointments.

does anyone know someone who does a rom flashing service i just cant seem to get to grips with it and have 2 kaisers i would like done

In my opinion, anyone that actually answers this and says 'Yes, I'll charge you $$$XXX for flashing the phone' is doing a disservice to the ROM developer, as they're the ones spending countless hours providing excellent alternatives to stock--whereas the person flashing would be making a profit off of, what, 30 minutes worth of work?.....
Be patient, read the wiki, there are lots of threads that tell you step by step how to flash a phone. Virtually impossible to brick one, and most important of all, you can make a donation to the person that matters, the ROM developer.
And besides, Flashing is fun!!!! You go to people one day and say "LOOK AT THIS!!!", and they'll roll their eyes...then you'll go to the same people the next day and say "NOW LOOK AT THIS!!!!"--and then they'll roll their eyes, this time impressed at your money metal flashing skillz...

sorry but i do not have the resources to do this i have spent hours already and i msuffer from depressive illnesses so i have very few reserve for this kined of thing as well as my wife four kids and everything else the world throws at us.
some of us need the help of those who have gone before to show us the way,
so please if someone could help me so that i can have a rom flashed phone i would be very grateful, if they want to do it free of charge i will send the phones myself i dont care just need some help

Follow this directions and in 20-30minutes and download all the files, you'll be flashing rom on TYTN II in no time. I would personally start with Hyperdragon'sIII or L26...'cuz they made even for starters like me. Give it a try... and then explore other GREAT roms. Why would you pay something when you can do it yourself?

Problem with Data Connection and Itjes Touch IT ROM

First of all it is a great ROM, i just love it!! So Thanks Itje.
My Carrier is o2 Germany and i encounter some problems with my data connection. IM+ keeps losing the connection, resulting in switching between on- and offline every 20 seconds. This is not only very disturbing while chatting, but after 20 times or so, my ICQ Account gets blocked for one hour for security reasons.
Same goes for Opera Mobile, when i google Something i get Connection Problems, after hitting refreh for 3 or 4 times, Pages load just fine.
I found out that other people have the same problem, especially people on T-Mobile and i searched for a possible solution, because it was mentioned that [email protected] posted a work-around but all i could find was a Proxy Setting for T-Mobile NL posted by him, so what i would like to ask is if anybody found a solution to fix this problem, because apart from the otherwise excellent ROM this really "grinds my gears" ;P
And please, if anyone is offended by this post or thinks i did not search enough, just use the "Back" Button in your Browser and i apologize for wasting 10 seconds of your day =)
I Just thought if this problem got solved already and many other users suffer the same conditions, a solution should be more accessable and not be hidden somewhere in 2500 Posts.

I agree! Even when I try to download e-mail and retrieve headers it keeps saying it loses the connection. I have to try a few times and "hope" it doesn't drop the connection. Same with Windows Live Messenger.
I REALLY like itje's ROM's but I think he does some radio/registry tweaking for radio connectivity, and somewhere down the road a tweak broke something
A real shame I have full signal 3G/HSPA or full signal EDGE and it keeps dropping the connection every half a minute or so...

well the old fashion way is the only way anyone's gonna tell you to do.
that or you get luky someone has the solution to the problem your facing and decide to post link or fix for ya.
like someone else said before, if you can read enough to flash a rom, then you can read enough to find a solution.
if every person had a problem and don't search (like your doing now) this forum would continue to clog.
you are causing the same bull sh*t cycle that you hate, by starting a thread KNOWING FULL WELL someone has a solution/problem for this rom.

i write down my own search engine. i start reading from begining of thread, take notes of the post# that has either problem or solution, page to know where i'v read up to, reading every single new post for a fix or solution. i keep reading until i'v got to the most current post, by then just sit and relax for what happens next.

Okay, i know i had it coming but i never forced anyone to read the thread nor to post in it. If you get that mad with such threads just don't post, that also makes threads longer. And with not hidden in any threads i do not mean that nobody should search, no, by no means i do mean that. I just thought maybe it could become a sticky post or be written into the wiki. Believe me i searched but after reading 2 hours of posts that didn't help i just thought someone who knew the answer would be nice enough to post the link again.

I am a guy who always uses the Search engine first and i definately don't give up after 5 minutes of search, but some problems are harder to find via the search than are others, that's the problem. And if i get the feeling that my solution is not to be found, what would you do? Just leave it at that, or post in a board that brilliantly helps everyone who needs help. Okay i can see that i should have posted in the right thread, not start a new one, but the outcome would have been exactly the same.
Now i know that some threads really are useless, but believe me, some people just are unfriendly and rather spend an eternity writing stupid comments than posting a solution, even if they already did so 2 or 3 times=) I helped on problems that were discussed several times myself and i even wrote personal messages with the solution instead of filling up the board. Personally, when i think a thread makes me mad, i leave it and i do not spend any more time of my life on reading/posting in this thread.

what you apologising for? have you been told off by the moderators? NO! ya can post whatever you like if ya feel like it. you have no reason to apologize at all! you haven't broken any rules nor offended anyone! in most threads wen people encounter problems they seem to post the same issue over and over again and fixes may have already been posted earlier! that seems to annoy people as some others tend not to search prior to posting. sometimes i can see how peops feel as these threads are quite long especially on anything itje releases. dont know whether you searched or not but in future maybe you should ok!

My Carrier is o2 Germany and i encounter some problems with my data connection. IM+ keeps losing the connection, resulting in switching between on- and offline every 20 seconds. This is not only very disturbing while chatting, but after 20 times or so, my ICQ Account gets blocked for one hour for security reasons.
Same goes for Opera Mobile, when i google Something i get Connection Problems, after hitting refreh for 3 or 4 times, Pages load just fine.
I found out that other people have the same problem, especially people on T-Mobile and i searched for a possible solution, because it was mentioned that [email protected] posted a work-around but all i could find was a Proxy Setting for T-Mobile NL posted by him, so what i would like to ask is if anybody found a solution to fix this problem, because apart from the otherwise excellent ROM this really "grinds my gears" ;P
And please, if anyone is offended by this post or thinks i did not search enough, just use the "Back" Button in your Browser and i apologize for wasting 10 seconds of your day =)
I Just thought if this problem got solved already and many other users suffer the same conditions, a solution should be more accessable and not be hidden somewhere in 2500 Posts.

I REALLY like itje's ROM's but I think he does some radio/registry tweaking for radio connectivity, and somewhere down the road a tweak broke something
A real shame I have full signal 3G/HSPA or full signal EDGE and it keeps dropping the connection every half a minute or so...

im dealing with this problem all the time on any custom rom. the only solution for me is to use the stock rom, i have tried every other way/solution, none of them work for me.

I also have the same problem.
I use IRC a lot on my X1, and with Itje's ROMs, pocketIRC disconnects itself in 30 seconds or so.
I have read through the Touch-It9 thread and also used the search function without coming up with any answers.
I would be grateful if someone could simply post a link to the relevant fix.
I'm currently using smarberg's TouchX V7, no such problems with this ROM.

Hey guys, this is my first post. I couldn't find and introductions thread so I thought I would just put it here. I have an HTC Touch Diamond and I'm just a basic end user.
I purchased the phone from sprint because I am already a sprint customer, and I needed a tool to make my photography business stronger. The large screen is great for displaying photos should I meet a possible client anywhere, then I can email them pdf's straightaway. Also, the sprintnav is great for when I have more than one location on a shoot (friggin battery life gives me ONE location, so it's emergency only)
OK so then I got to tinkering with my phone, and found out there is a BUNCH of tinkering I can do with it.
So here I am. Wish me luck. I don't wanna break this thing (yet)

HI ! I have a locked Kaiser ! I have been tried to unlook it using nuespl, in the installation proccess phone stuck and i made a soft reset , after this the phone display is black and the light is green. ... active sync do not recognize my kaiser but when I connect throught mtty I can use the following commands :

So coming from what I started with...
I now run androkkid as my main UI. I have mighty ROM 4. I have an Alltel radio which has dropped a couple of calls so I think I might switch back to a Sprint radio for a while. I'm CDMA Diamond anyway...
I'm looking at flashing a new bootsplash into my device...
and damnit, I just might have to learn some manila editing to get the look I want on my pda...
After a check or two I might actually hit the donate button here......

Wifi Problem and no Hard-spl

Look ive been around here for a long time and disregard the low post ive mastered the search button! My phone was stolen and now I have the stock T-mobile pro2 and its having serious problems. I cant get Hard-spl to work both ways and Oliopro seems too busy "really i can bet he is" to reply me with a solution. Ok heres the problem my wifi takes forever to connect and before it does it say the key is incorrect when its not! NOW even when it does connect it still does not work and i do not have a data plan! So im stuck with a manufactured brick with no solution. Anyone can help me with another kind of Hard-spl so i can flash rom and see it its just a software issue! I really cant wait another week sending this back to T-mo just for a small problem as this.

I've read a lot of posts regarding people having issues with Hard SPL and most of the time by making the small donation and getting whatever version that is "paid" seems to fix that problem.
Something to think about for sure if you've exhausted all other possibilities

Sounds true i just wanted to see if anyone had a fix to the wifi problem ive been having. Most guys on this forum are nice but seriously team iphone has won me over im just plaing around and doing reviews here and there so im not up to 1 paying for something i wont use for a while....and even if i do i always switch units. 2 letting something be called a donation and then say its a minimum! I hate to be rude but im old, thats pretty stupid! you charge! AND then ask what you throw on top! IM SORRY but things like that piss me off....my opinion....NCRG has gotten over $50 from me in the last year because i love his work.....charging is something we developers just dont do! and if you are the at least admit it! Thanks for the help^^^and advice but ill look around if nothing well then bad review on the way!

You say that you have been around for a long time, then you already know a few things.
- Post hardspl questions in the hardspl thread.
- Be detailled with your problems. How can you expect that we can help you with installing hardspl when all the info that we get is "it does not work"....
So please post your question in the hardspl thread and be detailled. Post the steps that you did and then we can help you
