can kind hacker hack this file for me please - Off-topic

hello my name is troy from the uk can you take a look that these 2 files in your decompiler tools and see if you could make a keygen for them
the files are operating system for the akai mpc drum machine
they are fully functional but the save feature is crippled and need a password to unlock . we get the password by emailing the hacker the device id then he generate a code and send it to us
the mpc has the hitachi sh7727 cpu amd i an guessing the cpu os is base on t-kernel am not sure
please look at the files and let me know if its possible to write a keygen for them
your help will be appreciated
regards
there is a password error in the strings i see it when i load it in ida pro dut cant figure it out
mpc25_jv104.os2
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc2500/mpc2500_jv104.os2
mpc25_jv553.bin
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc2500/mpc2500_jv553.bin

I believe this counts as warez, and is not allowed by the forum.

this is not warez let give history about this.
akai make the drum machine and the os
the original os for the drummachine is free from akai site with no limitation
an ex employer of aki stole the source code for the os
then he add some more features to the os
then he locked the saving feature on the os
and now sells the password to unlock it for $49usd via paypal
illegally from japan
the mpc25 is a hardware which i think is base on the japan t-kernel for the sh7727.
the t-kernel cpu os is a open source project similar to linux http://www.t-engine.org/T-Kernel/tkernel_e.html
so basicaly i want to crack a hack software. which is not class as warez as these os files can only be used on the hardware drummachine. and akai the owner of the os did not limit the original os.
the hacker who stole the code limit the os to make money off it
here is the hackers site where he sells the os http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc2500/
so basically am not breaking rules as the hacker is making money off it illegally . what we need is a keygen to go publicly of the os
so please take a look at it regards

the reason i ask on here is because i see alot of the hackers on here understand a lot of foreign code
and hoping that one will take this job on

Uhhh.....ok?! So let me unsterstand this correctly, you want someone to hack the software which was originally stolen, may not technically be illegal (or warez) but to me it seems that would cross a fine line with the original vendor/creator. Even though there are hackers here, the people here mod PPC's/SP's, not hack a code for a drum machine.

ok i get the driff.
do you know of any software that can decompile dissemble .bin executabe files. ?
or links for librraries for this cpu to use in the idA PRO debugger software

So why don't you use the old software ?
Or try to develop your own software for the machine ?
This "hacker" probably invested a lot of time developing the new software and wants to get paid, if you don't want to pay -> use the old software.

Building a ROM for a Hitachi G1000

I know this board is specifically for the XDA, but I was hoping you guys would be able to help me out. I own a Hitachi G1000 which is a PocketPC Phone Edition device that runs on Sprint PCS's CDMA network. I am wanting to upgrade it to 2003, but Hitachi and Sprint claim that they will never issue such an upgrade. I was hoping to use the 2003 ROMs that were released to upgrade the XDA, but I am concerned that it would not be compatable with the G1000 because of the CDMA radio, the camera built into the phone, and the hardware keyboard. What would I need to do to build a ROM that brings the Sprint utilitys and G1000 specific drivers into the new 2003 system, or is it even possible without assistance from Hitachi?
I think it would be very hard. most of the core part of the os
is very customized by HTC. I guess the same would hold for the g1000.
however, it would be possible to modify the romkitch/mkrom tools to create extended roms, based on your current rom version.
if these specs are correct
http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,18795&start=1
then it's not going to happen
because of the whole
32MB Flash EEPROM (Note: OS is not upgradeable or reflashable)
Darn it. I also have a Hitachi G1000, and was hoping to use the ROM upgrades. Not to PPC2003, but rather just the enhancements for PPC2002. I have read many places that the ROM is EPROM, but this article does make me wonder.
Checked Hitachi, it's EEPROM, darn it, darn it, darn it. Looks more and more like they weren't sure if the thing would sell, or even take in the market. Some of the things/specs seem quite a bit short sighted on Hitachi's and Sprint's part. I love the device, but as I look to upgrade, or expand it's abilities, I become more and more dissappointed.
I feel your pain
The lack of expansion and upgrade options for the Sprint System is why I am getting rid of them and Getting an XDA. I really liked my 2032sp but I wanted a bit more. I have gotten an XDA and upgraded it to 128mb of Ram, an 1800 Battery and I can use it on any GSM Network. Good luck in seeking upgrade paths.
Yeah, I'm not a big GSM/GPRS fan. I can atleast get bursts of 80-100k on the 1xRTT, Sprint uses. Went with the Hitachi for the faster proc and keyboard, too. Probably just have to wait for the next gen of them.

That works on Blackstone I'm using it at the moment. He set it up for WVGA as well
Yes I just saw that.
I havent tried the new builds with buttons below yet, but I read they are pretty unstable. Hope they release a stable one soon.

that's probably the best looking shot of windows mobile i've ever seen! is this version stable enough to use yet? definitely going to be using that theme.
Im awaiting Miri's first 23037-rom, should pop up any day now, hopefully its stable enough for every day use, but i doubt it will be.
Im also wondering how Manila is working with these new buttons. Manila 2.6 is just so much better than titanium.

[APP] BloomDroid (Bloomberg application for Android)

Sorry guys, Bloomberg asked me to discontinue the development of this app. So I'm removing the download link and will not continue to work on this
Hi everyone,
I have begun to work on a financial application for Android. It is called BloomDroid. As the name suggests, this application retreives data from Bloomberg data system (ie the website:mobile.bloomberg.com).
The version I post here is a very early beta and I'm planning to add many more features (of course limited with what bloomberg offers on its website)

The app is not available in the Android Market for now. I want it to mature a little before then.
You can download the app from: (app removed by request from bberg)
It requires full internet access permission for internet access and sd card write access to store charts.
It downloads 7-8 kb per query, so be careful if you do not have an unlimited plan.
Features:
- Retreive company name, description, price and change(%) for given quote. You must provide company ticker in XXXX:YY form, XXXX is the ticker for company, YY is the country code. such as GOOG:US, 4338:HK, GGQ1:GR, AAPL:US, 2788:JP
- Lookup for company ticker
Planned:
- A list of equities (like in stock Stocks program)
- News from Bloomberg
- Markets and currencies.
- Maybe a widget.
Changelog:
19/12/2009 - v.0.0.2
- Now you have a stock list!!
- Charts are saved on sdcard/bloomdroid
- many many bug fixes
21/10/2009 - v.0.0.1
- Bug fixes.
19/10/2009 - v.0.0.0
- Initial release.
- Can retreive any quote on Bloomberg web site.
that is a cool idea. i want a better widget for stock portfolio
cracking little app, love it!
I've released an update for this app.
Would like to hear the comments of investor members
will it work with milestone?
It's cool !
Is it possible to draw a simple and advanced technical chart i.e. simple moving average, rsi, stochastic, cci, bollinger band, macd,
It would be perfect if the above wish list become real.
please don't forget to make WVGA version, thanks.

Is this app dead or is the developer still updating it? Hope so bc I love BB's commodities, futures and currency quotes.
Hey guys, app is not dead.. Just I didn't get enough encouragement to continue working on it. But now that I see at least 3 new users , I'll resume working on it as soon as I have some free time.
Please make an update for 800*480 for my htc desire!
Bloomberg official app is the only thing i envy from iphone users..!
Sorry guys, I've stopped working on this after being approached from BloomBerg to halt development. We have to wait for their official app I guess.
did they mention when theyd think theyd release it?

Hi,
What SDK you used to develop that app ? were you using the one from Google or use 3rd party tool ?

Cloud Storage Services

Hey ladies and gentlement!
As I'm already recognized a high resonance via G+, I thought I'll start a OT-Thread here related to the topic
- Free Cloud Storage -
As for sure a lot of ppl has another priority and subjectiv opinion on different cloud services,
but I think we all are fair and reational enough to share our meanings without treating other meaning or ppl here.
So I'll start with my own experience and opinion:
In my opinion the realtiv new cloud storage of 'Copy' is one of the best cloud storage service,
which offers a really great android app, too.
The app also was re-designed some weeks ago and it's quiet intuitive and more looking good.
I'm personally also a Google fan and so for sure using G-Drive, too, but anyway for general daily cloud handling I use this at all.
'Copy' also let u create a synchronisation folder which gives the opportunity to share and edit things in a kind of group.
So I personally learned to use this in my job when working on a project, so that other project-partners could see when I put in new files
and themselves could view & edit them if they want. Also they could just put in their own files, so that I can see it.
Over this you can give different rights, for what anyone can to in this folder.
(I think that's enough explained for synchronisation folders)
Let's go ahead to the most sensitive point in nowadays "Security".
So to let's say first, that there is no 100% safe cloud service and surly will never be!
So we all have to trust the service and can orientate here on the security standards they offer.
'Copy' that for uses a part for the connection and one for the encryption of data to/on their servers.
The connection is here saved by the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) standard
and the data encryption by the AES256 (Advanced Encryption Standard)
Even their are other possibilities and the SSL could be the updated TLS standard, this is one of the highest "daily" protection standard.
[I don't want to get off from topic here, so let's say that there are more higher security standard, but u have to think in relative terms here!]
In the app u also have the opportunity to set a PIN, to secure the entry in app, even the phone won't have one.
At this point I hope I don't forget any important points, otherwise just ask and let me know...
Again this is for sure a objective view on things, so please let me know what u guys think and share your meanings and recommandation of cloud storage services.

With the link below u get 20GB [5GB to the 15GB] free storage on 'Copy', because I invited you.
So if u want to test it or saying "yes this listen like what I searched for", just register via it,
than 5GB more, are better than not or?
=> https://copy.com?r=dOBmai
PS: Yes I also get 5GB free if u use this link, but anyway this shouldn't be a big advertisement, just a recommendation.

So sorry to know about your issue, and thanks for sharing your story that sure will help other Devs.
Good luck.
Thank you for your kind words.
I hope the review process will get better one day.
In the meantime, if anyone has any further questions I will be happy to answer.
Have you considered switching to iOS store ?
That might be an option, it won't be easy at this stage of my life, but it's an option.
At the time when I started, I was not smart enough to consider this and I did the mistake to put all my eggs in one basket.
Now it's tough, with more than a decade of experience on Android.
Android development is what put the food on the table, and I have a mortgage to pay and a family to support.

Frankly, Google has been doing since 2011.
Better Keyboard disappeared?
Is it just me or has better keyboard disappeared off the market? I had to reflash generic UK and root/go back up to 2.3.3, but when I restored with Titanium Backup, I got the unlocker for Better Keyboard but not the app itself. Now I'm stuck in...
forum.xda-developers.com
IIRC The reason was even pettier than yours.
Bye Bye Better Keyboard 8, Open Home, and anything by Better Android
So, I was looking in the market for better keyboard 8 and couldn't find it. From there, I did a google search and came across their website with this as their top news. here is the link, and I will quote it as well. Better Android Apps Hello everyone, we have to say good-bye this time. Here’s...
www.droidforums.net
It was definitely a red flag for me.
In 2011 the paid apps are what made revenue for the Android Market. The Ad penetration was very low and users were limited.
Another example is ofc YongZh
So Why Were the Yongzh’s Emulators Pulled?
There was much sadness when Android developer, yongzh, had his Market account deleted and line of popular game emulators pulled from the market. Many people were troubled by this news, seeing it as…
androidcommunity.com
Google made a lot of money & goodwill via emulators in the initial days and then they booted out yonghz out .
Now the developers don't have any idea who paid for the apps and who didn't. And basically, the consumers are screwed and developers are harassed.
Also, Google changes its Developer license agreement 3-4 times a year. At any moment any apps can be booted out.
Make no mistake iOS can do the same. But at the very least you can speak to a human who can sort out your affairs. And that 99$ a year is totally worth it.
iOS experience is far more fluid then say 2015 (Been developing for both android and iOS)
Long term it's really wise to move away from Android to say Web or Server Administration.
