uh why would you want that keyboard, did you notice there was one that slides out from underneath your screen? This one is bigger then the screen.

I believe its just a skinned version of SPB, but I could be wrong.

nice iidea...but the whole point of the tytnII is the slide out qwerty...if i'm gonna use the screen i mite as well not get it...

I tried it out (2 week trial period) just to see... and yeah, having the built-in keyboard was a lot better. The reason I tried was for the increased number of keys, but ultimately it wasn't worth it to me.
The real one was easier for me to use, too. Plus no 'tabbing out' of my application.

OH OH OH it was be awsome to get a screen shot of that apps running on the screen while the keyboard was out. Redundancy.

I did find that games like Doom ran much faster when I mapped to the keyboard keys of the full screen keyboard

Lol..another retarded post.

It's like putting a new roof on top of your perfectly good roof.... Notice how that phone in the first picture didn't have a keyboard. I can see how that would be beneficial to a pda that didn't have a qwerty keyboard.
Why don't you put training wheels on your car.. I think there's a company who makes them.....

Is that like turning my motorcycle into a trike because I can't stop at the light without tipping it over?
I'm to old to slide out the qwerty keyboard and hold up my motorcycle!

[email protected] for real this post is ridiculous..
would anyone care to write a book on Typing on Tilt keyboard..for dummies.
seriously..this post doesn't even deserve proper punctuation

QWERTY Keyboard Not Replaceable *FIXED 4/18*

I followed Tony Chen's guide and it worked nicely to replace everything BUT the QWERTY keyboard. I've read around and people say to follow that to replace the QWERTY keyboard - however if you actually try and do that, theres no actual way to get the keyboard in/out. It seems as if the keyboard is physically bonded with a backplate and the flex-pcb glued underneath.
Has anybody successfully replaced the keyboard? Because it doesn't seem like it since theres no documentation available (both forum or guide) so I'm leading to think this is NOT user replaceable. I called Cellular-Dr and they said they can (I forgot the exact price, I believe it was $50) but I'm stumped on how they actually do that.
Fixed!
Well, after examining the keyboard - I decided to give up hope and gave it to DrCellPhone.com and here are the results (sorry for the poor quality pics, tia)

Everything except the battery? Sounds like a new phone to me Like saying I got my car repaired, everything replaced except the gas (petrol).
By the way did you get more info on rleasing the keyboard?

It is in essence a new phone
The keyboard seems to be specially glued down somehow to a flex-like PCB board. I didn't want to take my chances and try to remove the bonding, I kept poking around but eventually just gave up in fear of ruining another special-order item.
how did you get rid of the att logo, im still figuring how to take mines off.

Thanks for your help when this problem first happened Chumley, luckily I found what I needed and had it replaced at a reasonable cost

I want BIG buttons!

I have searched this site and others for an extra large dial pad for my 8525 and always come up with "larger than stock" buttons, but nothing dramatic. I have also seen multiple requests for what I am looking for and I cannot find anything similar.
When I search for dialpad large, big dial pad etc I usually come across something like this:

Exactly...not that many options. I wonder why no one has come up with a large keypad. When you are driving the last thing you need to do is concentrate on hitting some litttle square. Just because the pad is BIG doesn't mean any coolness factor is missing. All functinality could still be there, just not taking so much realestate.

I think he knows both of them have stylus...just beeing sarcastic.
The finger stylus is trully useless...why would someone want to carry an additional PDA item in the pocket when already has one in the PDA itself...but i bet they made some sales.
The Nokia is as pointless as any other jewells(Empty people need it to feel better about themselfs, sadly they dont feel better with other things like feeding the poor or other usefull stuff). You can always remove the diamonds...
There are alot of us out there who enjoy using the stylus. When I use my Tilt, I take out the stylus and use it quite a bit, mainly because HTC insists on using these unresponsive resistive touch screens. Using the stylus makes the screen feel much more like it should be.
I'll ditch my stylus when HTC, and all of the other WM hardware developers for that matter, get with the program and start putting capacitive touch screens on these things.

Looking for a chunky but straight wireless keyboard ;D

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a wireless keyboard, but Im not sure if what I like it really taylored for? I currently use a dell stock keyboard, but I like it because its straight, no curves or anything, and the keys are the chunky ones as appose to the new style when all the keys are pretty much flat... Is there anyway I can get one like this, just wireless? thanks Oh and also I like having the media keys on the top...
Help appreciated ;D
Im thinking [This] maybe?

Snap on keyboard cover

I'm in the market for a new phone. I've been checking out the samsung s7, but I still really prefer the oneplus 3. The thing that's now really pulling me towards the s7 is the buttons!
I'm still missing my keyboard from when O2 stole my only slightly broken desire z and sent me a shiney HTC one, and that was about 3.5 years ago.
I saw
{

which is the snap on keyboard cover for the s7, and it got me thinking that there may be other products which might work for the oneplus 3 ... and I will have my final wee bit of argument for buying a new oneplus 3.
Anyone seen anything like this? or even a bluetooth version of some form. Any suggestions welcome.
NB I just don't like touchscreen typing. I used to be a text fiend now I avoid txt at all costs.

Plug in a cheap OTG cable, get your keyboard of preference and comfortably break the record of words per minute like a champ!
Meant it as a joke but i actually do this frequently
Thanks guys.
Trying to work out if having a separate keyboard is going to be a pain. Think it's the snap on part that I really like. Having a separate one is likely no to get used much. I like being able to type on the move and I think the separate keyboard would cause too much juggling.
I mean hey, anything is possible right? XD View attachment 3850705

That may defeat the purpose of a "mobile" phone
Yeah I've actually got a BT keyboard at home which I use occasionally with my pad, and have used it a couple of times with the phone. I was just hoping there was smaller easier options.
I'm trying to convince myself I don't want to turn to samsung ... as my other half is a brand whore who will only buy samsung.
