Hi - I was just curious is it possible to access the GPS on an AT&T tilt via JSR 179, or does the phone not support JSR 179? Thanks

it doesn't. see my MIDlet Bible in the General forum - it's been discussed in there.

Hello all,
I wrote a blog entry that explains in detail how to edit the AutoText for Windows Mobile devices (AT&T 8525, Tilt, etc.). I find this invaluable for working with email. Hope you can use it, too!

Hy Guys,
I used a GPS Software for Smartphone name NAVIGON Mob. Nav. 6.5 on my HTC S620 => it works without problems
This GPS Software is ok with HTC S710 but not yet with S730 (as this device is brand new)..
I've tryed the combination (HTCS730 - MN 6.5) : it works for fast research (proximities like gas pump or restaurant) but its goes down with classical researchs (too long) => the program stop !
My problem is with memory on this device HTC S730
I've maximum 17 000 to 18 000 Kb free at the best moments.. and I've installed no other software..
I've done a advanced test of my RAM thats shows that some files (hidden files) took much memory.. (like video telephony, listening ports) but I don't want to use it.. (I would prefer to hide them in order to make my GPS soft work )
So who can tell me how to dismantle some WM6 files/process in order to win some KB for my GPS ?
Thanks in advance for your help
Jeff from Belgium

sorry, posted it on the move (while walking out with friends), from a Tablet PC, using text recognition and a non-unlimited Internet connection - couldn't look up the URL's.
(I post quite a lot while on the move from either my Tablet PC or my Blackberry)
Thank you for the articles. I have a feeling however that none of the applications presented work on Vista...

Webcamera Plus will work - at least the camera part, not the mike, under the x64 version. (see http://www.ateksoft.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1412 ). Not that you'd lose much with the absence of sound (it's pretty low-quality - see my remarks in the article) - as long as your notebook / desktop doesn't have a mike, that is.
Thank you, I'll try it.
EDIT: Tried - can't get it to work on Vista 32. Programs runs but won't connect to the phone camera. Oh well...
Hi !
I just bought WebCameraPlus (15 euros).
Unfortunately, even though when installing on my PC I am asked if I also want to install it on my smartphone (I have an HTC TOUCH DIAMOND), the software only ends up being installed on the PC, NOT on the smartphone.
Any help will be heartily appreciated, thanks in advance !
go in c:/program files/WebCam plus/ you will find the cab to install in your phone
WebCamera Plus seems interesting, but your friend also has to use WebCamera Plus to see you!. i though you could video chat with your phone front cam with your friend that is using official MSN,yahoo or ichat

It's disabled in the latest WWE Rom.
You can enable it using Kaiser Tweak.
>Data (GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA/WIFI)
>Show Band Page
>Set to "Enabled"

Kaiser Tweak doesn't work on samsung c6625.
Its WM 6.1 standard.

i think you should actualy PLEASE READ and more importantly SEARCH
The cab found in that link replaces the default aGPS server settings to the ones found on nokia devices which are more maintained and provide an extremely fast lock!
try to use the option "Other NMEA Reciever"!

i use tt 7.450.9028 and have tried t-back's gps settings, jcepsi's cab for registry tweaks on gps (XDA JCEpsi2005 GPS Lag Fix Raphael.cab), CleanGPSData, and FF's agps settings. I went from a cold lock in 10 minutes, to 3 minutes, to now within 30 seconds using FF's cab. It definitely helped me out. (Thanks A LOT!) i also use htc gps tool and chartcross gpstest to initiate the gps first.
