on that rom you will have to install the cube yourself. There are many to choose from so i recommend that you do a search and look at the different options that you have, possibly even try out the different ones available to see which best suits your needs.

HTC home and cube

does anyone know where I can find the .cab's? I tried a ROM that had them, but I didn't like the overall rom so I switched back to SNE's TouchNoEvil rom but I'd like to add the cube
It's not warez is it?
Does anyone have these, or are they not allowed to be posted here? I mean, they are used in ROMs

I dont think it is warez cause it is posted in other treads for all types of phones. I downloaded them and installed them on my 8125 and they worked perfect. I was looking for a Touchflo that can be installed, not have to bake into the ROM. Get a good fast & stable ROM, then install the extras.

Windows mobile 6.1 professional?

Hi, I was just about to update my kaiser phone to duttys latest rom, however I read the all important thing do not update unless you have 6.1 professioanl compatible radio.
I have done a few searches and i'm not sure what exactly I am looking for, can someone please tell me or point me to a link which will install windows mobile 6.1
I take it before any rom updates are done I should install that Hard-SPL thing or whatever its called first
Read this and choose one of the 6.1 compatible ones.

A lot of people think that the Polaris radios work best from this link. I've tried them all and they all seem ok for me - but at the moment pretty much anything above 1.58.xx.xx will work with a wm6.1 rom - however you might need to try a couple if you have problems.

Hi thanks for the link, however I am a dummy at present and I cant tell which one i need to download, they all say 6.1 compatible, but as I dont have it installed i cant download it.
I just need one to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1
A location to a couple of files download will do as opposed to looking at a thread as i dont know what i need

Touch Flo without flashing?

Hello! Anyone knows if it's possible to install Touch Flo (or cube) without flashing the device again? If it's possible, what version do you recomend?
I have the Shekhar WM 6.1 Professional (build 19209).
Thanks for all the input.
Hey Champion,
I use the same ROM as you, and I have been using a version called SCLPF_1-62-FTOUCHFLO-FlashLite_setup_FINAL.CAB. There may be newer, better free versions of it available, but this one works perfectly for my needs. TouchFlo is restricted to the cube as well as opening and closing from memory. I don't think it works as Touchflo outside of that (IE in contacts) though I could be wrong. Been a while since I used it.
Thank you

Does not work on Hima, yet. Get stuck on starting TouchFlo, as Ather mentioned. I tried with my German ROM based on Athers Dark Edition but failed. Sorry.

[REQ] Cooked 6.1 ROM with IE5 and old Manila

Need recommendations for a ROM that will play nice with my legacy apps, PIEPlus, Thumbcal and G-Alarm.
PIEPlus needs IE5
The others need the old Manila.
Try Dutty's 1.7. It is very similar to shipped ROM - clean and bugfree.

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl.
Thinks... if I could install IE5 over IE6 on a cooked 6.1 based ROM, that would give me lots of choice. Is that possible? Is there a CAB for IE5 anywhere?

I've been looking all over for IE5 in a CAB, it seems Viigo will not work with IE6. I could cook one up but I need the cab to support my rom users, hehe.

If i install a 6.5 rom can i revert back to 6.1 htc rom?

Just in case i dont like it or am i stuck with cooked roms thereafter?
Yes, Once installed HardSPL, you can put on any rom you wish,
This means, that you can flash Official Roms (Perhaps to change language) or Cooked Roms, As long HardSPL is on your device, you can reflash any Rom that is built for your device
Since HardSPL cannot be removed by flashing a rom (you can remove it with the removal utility) you don't have to worry about Official or Cooked roms ;-)
Hey!
Thanks for such an informative and quick reply!
I'm just thinking about my warranty etc and also whats the best 6.5 to try whilst i have your help?
Does Dutty not do Tpaz roms?
Cheers

W.r.t warranty, if you ever have to send your phone in for repair under warranty, be sure to remove hard SPL with the removal tool first
Thanks mate, whats the 6.5 rom you are running like? is it fast? any benefits?

Dutty does not work on the Topaz (yet? xD)
I still use a highly (self) customized stock rom,
If you want to use a 6.5 rom I'd recommend Tom's or udK's roms.
And indeed, if you ever need to return your phone, Try to flash a stock rom & remove HardSPL from your device, and you should be ok ;-)

I am running Tom Codons' latest 6.5 ROM - Biggest benefit to me is that windows media player appears to have more video codecs than before - I can now play vids that would not play on 6.1.
Toms ROM is genreally fast and bug free and he includes a registry editor for your convenience!
Ok great thanks guys!
As HTC dont supply a stock rom are the original rooms on the wiki mirror the same?

The ROM's which names start with RUU... are official ROM's from HTC. The question is if you find the original ROM that is on your TOPAZ right now.
If it is not listed yet, you might not be able to get back to your original status once u flashed a cooked ROM.
A possibility is to dump your original ROM and try to create the files for reflashing it. I never tried by myself, but I see in the threads of "TOPAZ ROM development" that it is not that easy.
At the end it's your decision to accept the risk.
Great thanks!
Well im flashing with Toms 6.5 rom and yeah i have hardspled
Cheers guys!
oh and i have a tomtom 7 version, what sat nav you all preferring? need to get an 'extended' version ideally to play with
I had some voice problems with tomtom, So I use iGo8
what did that cost ya?
Not that much *rolling eye's*
Although tomtom is fine with the fix...
Go with Garmin GMXT just google for the K*y Gen and procedures.

I use Garmin XT - it works flawlessly and I'm very happy with it.
I was previously using Tomtom but had the voice command cut-off problem and the fix available here didn't fix it.
@ Garmin XT users,
I don't know that particular GPS software,
And have 2 questions about it,
1) Does it have Dutch voices?
2) Does it have a Belgium only map?
If you could answer these questions I would be very happy,
Cause iGo8 isn't the best there is either

Yes, the Netherlands is listed in the voice options. I don't think a Belgium only map is available. I have the Europe map with mine.
aww, thats sad, I only use a Belgian map, So I don't need all the others...
Well I'll look into it ;-)
Thanks for your reply!
*edit* It seems like they have Benelux maps... Which is Belgium Netherlands Luxembourg
Lets fire up that search engine x)
