somebody knows the app CAMERA ZOOM FX and can describe me his experiences?
the shutter time of stock camera app is very slow and so unsuitable for me to make snapshots of moving objects.
the sluggishness of the camera IMHO isn't a HW-problem, i think the SW is the reason. various camera apps and also CM7 show a faster camera.
CAMERA ZOOM FX gets good reviews and i now i hope there is somebody who can give me short answers to my questions.
- what about the shutter time in comparison to stock camera app?
- is it possible to deactivate the sounds (shutter and focus)?
- what about quality of photos and videorecords? is HD-recording laggy?
i look forward to your feedbacks an perhaps points to alternative apps.
merry x-mas and happy new year to all of yours and your families

As the title states, I'm wondering if I can assign the Google camera app to the physical camera button on my Xperia Z3C.
I find the stock camera app is very poor at keeping focus and takes sub-par images when compared to other camera apps available on Google Play.
Also, anyone have any tips for taking better pictures with the Z3C? I'm finding that despite the camera's high number of pixels, it's not the best for taking pictures, even when compared to my old iPhone 4!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
AS far as I know, it is possible only when you are rooted. Since rooting (with unlocking bootloader) affects the camera quality, which you want to change, i'd go for it.
I am using Camera FV-5 for taking pictures and that is much better than the auto/manual mode on the stock camera and Lapse-it Pro for Timelapse videos.
Anyway, the biggest improvement should be seen, when Android 5.0+ is released with RAW DNG (and Long Exposure), and then we will see the advantage of a 20MP sensor - but probably only with a different camera app than the stock one

Test ur Camera with this app
CameraW
this app will capture the exact view that ur phone lens can detect (without any effect or compressions)
if u get better pic by this app then thr s problem in software if not you check the lens itself
try it and inform me about results
:good:
I'm curious as to what your favorite app and settings you use for your 3T. I'm a OnePlus n00b and have been using the stock app along with Cameringo+ with good results but ideas are always welcomed. I'd do a poll but the options are endless.
Stock camera app and ProShot with noise reduction disabled. That's all you need.

Thanks but I don't see Pro Shot or Noise Reduction in the stock app. Where do I find those? I checked both Settings options.
Unless you mean Manual mode and leave everything else on Auto.
HDRa is Auto HDR, HQ is best for low light. In camera when you see video, camera etc click the cog and you can select RAW. You won't see these in your gallery but using lightroom or snapspeed (it's free) you can open a picture from gallery and it will pick up on the raw photo. These look awful to begin with as they are not processed at all and are 50mb+ but one you develop them yourself to your desired look you get some quality photos from them.

I thank you for your reply and I'm aware of the RAW format and Snapseed/Photoshop/etc. I'm more interested in the settings for most everyday use of the camera on the OnePlus 3T.
I've been having good results with CameraMX

I have been trying open camera from time to time. It allows you to enable the camera 2api and takes some great pictures. I find the flash on stock flawed at times as if the shutter speeds is off point to the flash and this overcomes that problem.
I'm not a big selfie fan or photo gay. But in my Samsung S6 I'm using stock camera application with few addons + Candy Selfie for taking selfies when I need.
Can anyone help me with the video settings.
In 1080p OIS does not seem to work at all
1080p / 60fps it does work
I cannot find any settings to alter this. Thanks.
I was trying to figure out the best camera settings for taking pictures of my kids. They move a lot so there's a lot of lens blur. So far, the Google Camera has the best results. Any suggestions on settings or best use with the stock camera app? Settings on the Google Camera? Other camera apps to download? Any and all information is welcomed ? Thank you!
I don't know wtf but the native camera's selfie quality is total crap. Urnyx's 2.3 gcam works: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-suggested/

Thanks for share
The gcam quality is even worse on the selfie cam.
The original app actually seems pretty decent in terms of quality and features.
Weird. I get horrible quality on the front camera with default app..
I tried Gcam it's a good interface but after button some parameters I lost the zoom from 1 to 10 and I got a butteon instead like x0.6 or x2 and If I click on it the app instant crash xD
I didn't found a way yet to have the wide camera on Gcam.
If someone have any idea please share
tried this out yesterday, changed some settings. Likely ones i shouldn't have.
Now the app crashes at load.
If this happens, just clear the "data". Not sure if simply clearing the cash does the same to restore usability.
Any tips on the best settings without causing crashes?
I'm using these settings. Really liking the quality with gcam
Do not try to enable auxiliary cameras
