Is it okay to re-run jumpSPL1.56-KAIS.EXE? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

i ran jumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe. I got to the tricolor screen (which i assume is the bootloader??) and unplugged the usb and replugged it per instructions and than i ran KaiserCustomRUU.exe file however when i launched the file it said make sure active sync is green which it wasn't as per instructions of the above stated post i unplugged/plugged usb and it stopped registering phone. so i reestablished connection but than KaiserCustomRUU.exe couldn't read my device.
I haven't done anything yet but after reading the more i learned how to get to the tri-color screen (hold camera putton power on) and here is the info displayed on the screen:
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
Now my question is: is it safe to re-run jumpSPL1.56-KAIS.EXE and after getting to tri-color screen run KaiserCustomRuu.exe or should i directly go to tricolor screen and run KaiserCustomRuu.exe from there with phone plugged to computer by usb??
I do apologize to the mod's if my post is redundant but i didn't come across any info that says anything about it being okay to re-run jumpSPL1.56-KAIS.EXE and also i want to apologize for posting so many threads. Its just i am not a it professional and don't make enough money to buy the tilt again (i got this one ONLY because it was 75 bucks on amazon with 2 year contract) if i mess it up but i do like some of the upgrades here and want to try them; its just i want to be really careful. And per instructions i am continuing to read the wiki everyday a little at a time so i appreciate everyones patience with me. Thank you much

It looks like you haven't SPL'd the unit.

So it looks like your attempt didn't take, so you shouldn't have any issues with running it again as it will be the same as a first time.
Also, if you didn't succeed with 1.56, try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe from HERE

I Should Have
After looking i havnt found anything but i found out that i could have backed up an old rom on my mini sd card just in case
This is the bootloader screen. Follow this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
You are in the bootloader, this is good. Your phone is not a brick. Just reflash a full (preferably a carrier rom) while on this screen and the USB letters are in the corner of the screen. Once your device boots again you can then flash back whatever compatible to your device rom you choose.
Yeah i fixed it thanks for the help
Since im on here i have another little question lol
Im using WM6 and in the today screens i want to change the default one but i cant find the .tsk file anywhere in the files
i cant stand the background it has
is it embedded in something where i cant access it
if so is there a way to change it
its kinda of a stupid issue but it bothers me lol
thanx

Starting Out..

Okay so my AT&T Tilt is coming in later this week, and I'd like to learn how to customize it (change the today screen). I've been looking through a lot of websites / threads here in this forum, but I'm still confused as to how everything works.
So I would like to turn my today screen into the same exact one that's displayed here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ATOM_USER_THEMES
And I would like to ask, is that the same one that's displayed here, but just with different icons?: http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/ph...cab-files-all-devices-14-10-a.html#post147780
So basically I'm asking for step-by-step instructions on what to download+install first. ^^; So according to the 2nd link I posted above-- I should install the 'Schen's 6 Button HTC Home today screen plugin' first, then install the 'Customization plugin', and then voila I can go and change all the icons and such just like in the image below, and that's all? (Because if it's that simple, what's with all the stuff here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533 and what is the KaiserTweak program for?)

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Two more questions:
1) When the instructions say 'install it to your device', where exactly do I install it into? Do I create a new folder/directory?
2) How do I "soft reset" ?
I need clarification. Thanks!
Thats HTC Home with Htc Home Customizer fairly straightforward stuff which you'll learn when you get your device.
Anyhow, I believe this is the best forum to learn how to customize and improve your device.
If I were you I'd start reading the link below and once you get your device you'll figure out how to install applications.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383904
read the wiki first....it'll solve a lot of inquiries...for me at least when i first started out
in regards to ur question...it installs to the phone's onboard memory and it will create a folder...for me its in my device>program files
second answer: soft reset is when u use ur stylus and poke thru the hole at the bottom of the phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385077
thats the link regarding different resets

flash from microSD card?

When I put turn the phone on, it loads up normally, running the original rom, but when it finishes booting, the message "main battery is very low" comes up... but it's not low, i bought another one to make sure.
When the phone is plugged in to either a USB cable or AC adapter, it stays on the splash screen and does not move from there.
I don't know if it has one of the spl things running on it, but it is unlocked.
I have tried hard reset, does not work. bootloader does not come on either.
I can access the microSD card through an adapter i bought, but cannot access it through the device. Is there anything I can put on the microSD card to solve the problem?
Thanks.
MOD EDIT: Please do not double post! This is your last warning!
If you can't get into boot loader. Press the Camera Button and press your stylus into the Reset Hole. Then Not much you can do. Given that you didn't search.
If you get into Bootloader. Look at the SPL version then search for the Thread about Flashing from an SD card. That has all the steps you need.
but what i'm thinkin is why can't i get into bootloader? the bootloader is on the phone not the microSD right?
is there no way to put a bootloader on the microSD?
what's annoyin is that it loads up normally until it finishes booting and comes up with the "main battery very low" message and then turns off.
p.s. double post was me tryna rephrase the question and delete original post..
So you didn't really answer my questions. But then Again I didn't ask them clearly.
So I assume you can't get into bootloader when you hold down the Camera button the press and hold the Reset Hole?
You probably will need to do a mtty recovery. Something I wouldn't recommend ventuing to do yourself.
P.S. If you want to rephrase your question you can edit your own posts.

can't update Radio ROM on my trinity (used to be able to!?)

Today I've been trying to update my Trinity's Radio ROM to v1.50 or v1.56 and my phone doesn't seem to be accepting ROM upgrades anymore?!
When I try to flash the ROM, my phone's screen goes into the bootloader (the red, green and blue screen.. correct?) and I hear my PC make the USB device disonnected sound and then it reconnects, making the reconnection sound and it says "USB" in the white part at the bottom of the phone's coloured display.
So I get this screen but it gets stuck on 0%:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then after about 30 seconds this comes up:
My phone stays in bootloader mode until I turn it off then back on again (soft reset).
The phone turns back on and I can use it like normal.. but it is still the old ROM obviously because it didn't update.
I've upgraded the ROM many times before.. so why would ROM upgrading suddenly not work anymore?
Suggestions anyone?
Before you get techy!!
Hi there - I had the same problem this eve - reflashed tonnes of time sno worries then all of a sudden nothing.
Before, like me you scour the forum for the techy solution (reinstall activesync, muck with SPL, copy things to SD card) go dig out some USB cables.
I've found that it was a dodgy cable that works for everything else.
So if you get this error and your white strip in bootloader says serial - go get another USB cable first!!!!
Cheers

Droid bricked?

I've done some searching, but can't seem to find this particular situation.
Stats: Original droid, running clockwork, cyanogen 6.x, everything worked well this weekend. It's not activated currently, but the phone behaved as it should all weekend, as I prepped it for sale yesterday.
Yesterday, I rebooted the phone. Well, sort of. It rebooted, and my motorola logo is centered in the left third of the screen, rather than in the center third. It will not move past the moto logo when powered on.
I've tried X+power, and assorted other combos, and the only one that will allow me access to anything is holding down+camera when booting, which gives me a bootloader 2c.6c screen, showing that the battery is okay, and that it's okay to program.
I can connect in this mode to RSD lite, and attempt a reflash, but when the phone reboots, it goes back to the crooked motorola logo screen, and stays there.
Initially, before I attempted to reflash with rsd, I could find the device with adb, but it wouldn't reboot or reboot-bootloader, hanging instead on the crooked logo.
Am I missing anything? If it's bricked, it's bricked, it hasn't been my primary phone since I bought my X, but Ideally I'd like to restore it and either keep it as a backup, or sell it and make a buck or two.
Sorry for writing a book, just figured I'd convey as much info as possible.

my cool new boot page. The bottom right side is just some white nonsense, no legible text or anything.
Really? No thoughts at all? Not even a "dude, you're so screwed".
