I searched the fourm and dident find anything usefull, I found my old PDA its a Palm Tugsten T3 and I was going to try to put the TCPMP player on it and see how well it plays videos over orb and one of the files in it was called "tcpmp_zodiac_plugin.prc: Zodiac ATI Imageon video acceleration support" if anyone thinks this would be usefull let me know and i'll upload the file.
Maybe you need to go somewhere like Treocentral.com or howardforums.com
This forum isn't for palm os.

Don't get any of your hopes up, CorePlayer will solve nothing for us:
First of all, what they "fix" will only work inside Coreplayer
And second:
http://www.corecodec.com/forums/index.php?topic=596.15
page 2, second post, blue one:
"ok... so let me clarify... so its a little of BOTH to be true in that... we _ARE_ using HW overlay with the qtv drivers for the color conversion and bilinear zooming and we are _NOT_ using the builtin mpeg4 hw decoder."
So they only fix the problem which made our kaiser slower (about 3 times slower) than all similar devices when using DirectDraw... you know the issue, we were going around it by using Raw Framebuffer in Tcpmp
What this means: they found a workaround for a bug in the Kaiser, they do not have video drivers, they do not have 3D drivers.
I wish it wasn't so... but it is
And this needs a new thread because?
This has been covered in the driver development thread, and the CorePlayer thread. Yes, we know it's not the mythical new driver set that will bring about world peace and cure famine, but for anyone who wants to watch decent video on their Kaiser it's a solution for now.
Sorry if i'm bloating the forum, but i keep seeing threads on the first page about this, and was hoping to put an end to it all
Thank you for your clarification! This clears up the situation
I was really hoping they would be accessing the hw acceleration of decoding as well :/
Well, I just wanted to ask something very odd.
In my HTC Tytn I (Hermes) using black satin rom,
coreplayer 1.2 plays videos with very slow performqnce whatever
the settings, but when I try benchmarking it plays smoothly and gives
125% using rawbuffer.
I ve reached to a point here i will watch the movies in benchmark mode...
Redundant Thread.
And with a mighty

This is my first time posting so go easy.
Since getting the Kaiser I have really wanted to be able to stream videos from Youku or Tudou since it has pretty much everything. The TCPMP video loader doesn't seem to be working anymore and the only way I have been able to achieve this is by searching the site for the video I want, copying the link into www.clipnabber.com and then copying the download links into TCPMP. Does anyone know of an easier way, or perhaps is anyone willing to write a program similar to youtubeplay to allow us to do this. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Just wait for the new Opera mobile to come out which supports flash?
Then you can go directly to youku or tudou websites and play whatever you want.
have you tried skyfire?
its not like tcpmp (instead it plays within the browser) but it has a nice zoom feature that basically makes it full screen.
Actually my version of Opera plays video from youku in the browser. It only started about a week ago, problem is it's slower than a three legged dog. And as for Skyfire, not in the US so thats not an option. I just thought somebody might be willing to write a program considering how many TV shows and stuff are available on youku. By the way is TCPMP with videoloader working for anyone?
Does anyone out there know how to stream audio from a website (specifically, archive.org's Live Music Archive)? It seems easy to do from a pc, but I can't figure out how to do it with my kaiser (or touch dual, for that matter). At the LMA, there are "m3u" files that can be streamed...no idea how to do that with my kaiser. Is there software that I need? I checked, and there IS a "streaming media player" in my windows dir (I'm running 6.0)...but how do I use it? There is an option on the LMA's site to "embed this"...what does this mean? I apologize if I'm putting this ? in the wrong place (please move it if so), or if there is an answer here somewhere, but I've been looking for the better part of a week, and I can't find one. Maybe I'm just an idiot... Also, I've seen rumors of software that can actually capture and SAVE streaming audio...how is this done? What progs will do this, if any exist? Can I do it with my phone? Please help a thoroughly confused soul :~
You can open the m3u with TCPMP for example, and it should stream, at least it works with webradios.
Winamp has a "Streamripper" plugin that can save the stream to disk that I'm actually using right now, but I'm not aware of an equivalent on the phone.
Ok so I've read and searched all that I could and still cannot find a work around to get FLV's to play on my Diamond....
Can someone tell me if this has been done yet? I can't beleive that a device as comprehensive as the Diamond cannot handle a silly FLV codec!

Well i just used the search feature and guess wht i found!!!!! chk the link out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387
Well anyway here is the direct link for you to download: TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.CAB.zip
ahh yes and this plays all FLV's does it? It looks like it only plays FLV1's and not FLV4's that are most commonly used now...
fwiw I already had that version of tcpmp beofore asking this question - but it would seem that the FLV support doesnt work with the Diamond.
My search also showed me that someone else said they had this problem as well - hence why i asked the question...

Well it's gud then tht u searched this forum it's my bad anyway I also use FLV's on my diamond and I hve not cum across any problems so far!!!! it's works like a charm it is useful fer me cause I save most of the YouTube videos in FLV format and it works with no problems....
I will try a youtube flv and see if thats any different - so are you using JUST that Tcpmp cab or any other plugins?
Tht particular version of TCPMP has the built in FLV codec so it will start playing without u doin anythin
your very correct in the fact that it does play YOUTUBE FLV's - it looks like that its an issue with FLV1 and FLV4.
Never mind - I can work around it
