I can't seem to get HTC album to work on my kaiser. No matter what version I download, when ever I try to open it, my phone freezes, and I have to reset it. Is there some setting I need to change, or something I need to do in KaiserTweek? Please help, I really like HTC album and I would like to be able to use it. Thank You.

I'm new here, sorry if this questions bother you but I need some help. My Att TILT is working perfectly, I installed Home HTC today screen and I love it but I'm thinking to go further with the changes and I want to know If this will work in my device with out damaging.
Installing CAB files on my TILT like Home HTC sprint plugin, enlarge START menu and calculator SKIN, can you let me know if this will affect the device performance and if I decided to delete these anytime, could I do it.

The answer to you question is Yes! You can install them and remove them later if you decide to; however, I'm not sure about the calculator skin. Skin uninstallation sometime may not work.

I'm about to get a Trinity tomorrow, and want to upgrade to WM6.
I know I could go through installing all the roms, but what I'm looking for is one that mimics mostly the roms on the Touch Dual or Polaris. Ie the HTC home theme, touch cube, htc album music player, keyboard input etc and all the other bits.
I'll probably will try out a few roms, but from the screenshots it's quite hard to tell which one to try first.
I know people will have differing opinions, but as I'm looking for something specific could anyone help?
Any suggestions would be great.

Ok. I just put the Kaiser 6.1 ROM the newest one I don't remember the number. Onto my ATT Tilt. This was my first ROM flash and I'm glad everything went smooth but I am wondering why I still have a few ATT things hanging around. For example I don't have HTC Album and instead have Pictures and Videos, also the calculator has the old skin. There are a few more things which I expected to be different. Anyway, if anyone can tell me why this is and if or how I can fix it i would appreciate it. I really wanted embedded HTC album.
so go get the htc album cab file and install the htc album then
yea like extreme said just get teh cab and install it..and u can search around for the calculator skins...theres a few lying around
but when I flash the rom does that software not come with it? Does this happen for everyone, cause i dont like having pictures and videos default.
Depends wheter it was included in the programs list. If not, you'd have to install it manually.
hmm... can anyone recommend a windows 6.1 ROM that has embedded HTC Album or tell me how I can check.
i'm pretty sure i've never used the rom which you dont even remember what version it is, but if its not there then its not there. either install htc album on your own, or flash a rom that has it cooked in
ok what I'm really asking here is does HTC album HAVE to be cooked in or does it come in Official Kaiser ROMs. Sorry for all the confusion. BTW the version I have is 3.03.405.0 and I thought it was supposed to be the official 6.1 release for the kaiser. Also sorry for my ignorance.
go look through the posts in the rom development..usually most of the time the cooks will have the programs included in the first or second post of the thread...u just gotta read thru it
Yeah do a search bro. I just flashed L26 Rom on my phone. Pretty good so far.

did you do a hard reset after flash???
also for htc album did you try "looking" at the stickies in the general forum??

I know how to download HTC album. I am aware that cab files for it exist. The question I am asking is if there is an official release ROM from HTC which contains HTC Album or is it ripped from another phone's ROM. Is a cooked ROM the only way to have it without installing it?

I just got my Diamond, as ussual comes with the rubbish WM Calculator, so I thought I'd update it to the HTC skin which I also did on my Orbit 2, Only problem it doesn't work on the VGA, so I uninstalled but now my original calculator doesn't work any more?
What can I do?

hard reset is my thought.....or you can try searching for the original calculator cab.....i'm sure it's on the forum...
Just pulled the batt out while on, assuming thats a hard restart. Still the same.
This is the error:
The file 'calc' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate , or one of its components cannot be found etc...

well read in the book to find out how to do a hard reset on the diamond.(i don't have one so i doon't know i'm just trying to be as helpfull as possible since this thread will probably almost be ignored) a hard reset is like a format of your phone to bring everything back to the defaults.....or you can use the search function of the forum to look for the original HTC Diamond calculator cab file......
I happen to be at work, I don't have the manual to hand, why would this be ignored anyway I thought this was the place to find friendly help! I always thought a hard reset was just pulling the battery while switched on but that does not restore default settings. Anyway I have just managed to fix it, I found a cab file called Microsoft calculator.cab and it has restored it.

was not trying to be funny....was just saying that this developer site sometimes ignores little threads like this....a missing calculator is not a big concern to devs....anyways i'm glad you got it working...i knew theire had to be a cab file for the calc somewhere on here.
Still, can the default WM6 calculator be skinned? Looks horrid compared to the rest of the interface

I have exactly the same problem and would prefer not to do a hard reset unless absolutely necessary.
Is there any chance you could tell me where you found the Microsoft calculator.cab ?

I have been searching for a while to a fix for this. I too tried installing the HTC skin and did not work. When I uninstalled it the calc.exe file was gone leaving me with no calculator.
I have many custom settings and programs and would hate to do a hard reset for a calculator.

Hi guys ! I just installed a new ROM, in which people dont have this bug and it seems that i'm the only who got this one...
The ROM included Windows Mobile 6.5, and of course, his "Today" screen.
The problem is that when i open windows media player, i can open songs and i can hear them, all OK, until i try to join the Playlist or ALL the options that come after pressing "My Music"
I sometimes get a wmplayer.exe error and sometimes a shell32.exe error... and im kinda desesperated, because i really want to use the WMP in the Today screen... And i dont know even how to change the player so that it changes in the today screen too...
Could someone help me to solve this bug? really, i tried hard reseting, changing rom (and still doesnt work !!!) etc. And i dont find a website to download for re-installing this program...
