I want my kaiser look like HTC TOUCH or I-PHONE

i wanna upgrade my kaiser like HTC Touch or I-phone all visual effects like scrolling explorer and contact search etc.
i find a video but i dont know how to do it can anybody help me?

I propose banning people who post threads like these. Are you serious? Dude, if you don't know how to mod your phone perhaps you should read through the forum and figure it out, and if you have a specific question, then feel free to ask it. Don't just say I don't know how to do it. You obviously are too lazy to figure it out by doing some basic reading.

We all have a right to opinions even if we disagree. Banning for this sort of thing is silly.
However, I agree they need to do homework and figure out what path they really would like to take before the step off the curb. This one is stepping right into an oncomming bus.

Given you are fairly new to this sort of thing, you will be better served if you post in the Kaiser Forum. (Not Kaiser Upgrading which is largely about ROM Flashing and the more advanced development stuff.)

Marm0lade above has given you a page of links (See link in his post) I hope you see how easy it was for him to search and get that page of iphone threads.

Soon we are going to have a new Forum for Members who are Beginners, this will be a good place to post this kind of question.
I am going to move this thread to the regular Kaiser forum.
I may also close the thread in the next day or so, because the answers are there if you care to hunt around. However, if anyone wants to give you helpful, constructive advice about how to go about finding suitable information they can do so in the next few hours.

Most of that doesnt look like an iPhone to me. And I really dont want the main screen of the iPhone, but the way he navigates through all of the menu's and stuff is nice. Is that done through the cube?

for somewhat the same menu interface or some other shell than wm has to offer you can use spb shell 2 (google xda for it)
it gives a nice cube/touch interface wich can be customized also there are alot of programs out there that enhance your phone like camera album,long endkey,big startmeu,s2u2,fff,touch commander and many more i suggest start reading the forum and use the wiki/google search this forum for answers good luck...

The hardest bit will be making a new case, and interfacing a new wide screen, then virtualising Apple OS to run under Windows, it would run like a dog.

i actually like what is in that video. i know what some of the apps are, like the cube which i have had, but some of the other stuff i havent even seen. that is one good rom if thats what it is. giving a few pointers to a newbie is not going to kill you ;-)

I concur, That video is one I haven't seen before. I noticed the HTC Cube on there. but before he pulled that up he had another screen he was flipping in the same manner. What the heck program is that?
My phones all modded up and such. But that proggy makes me jealous.

i know, ive been searching for the last 40 mins trying to find those applications, im no noob at installing or searching, but theres so much to go through can anyone tell me what progs have been added inc the ones from the today menu. any halp appreciated, all i want to knwo is the names. TIA

ok, finally after about an hour of searching, think i got most of it. The beginning part is Slide2unlock, the minic ube thing looks like its ultimate launcher, the main cube - 4 sides - seems to be SCLPC. i will check on my stellar and report back. thanks to thos with the helpful advice as some people on XDA-Developers were born like geniuses to come 2therescue - whatever. this board is the best and will be the best. its all about helping out.

Well, if you must know I have been using that user name, (and variations thereof) all over the internet for almost 20 years now. I used to drive an ambulance before I opened my own business. That's where it came from. Still, there is a lot to be learned from reading the stickies & the Wiki. I've seen the following link posted many times, and I feel its far more blunt than what I linked to... http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php At least I showed you that there is hope by reading the information available. Trust me, it could have been much worse. You can easily get flamed here if you ask without reading the Wiki first.

The "recommend me a ROM(and stuff)" thread!

Hey folks! Been lurking for a while and thought it was about time I posted something useful, so I looked around and didn't see anything similar and thought a "recommend me a ROM" thread would be a nice idea.
To start:
Basically I have an MDA Vario III with Rom version 1.56.220.4and Radio version 1.27.12.11 still locked to T mobile. I use my vario for calls regularly, texts even more and quick alot of the Web and walk service (I live in the UK).
I love the look of the HTC interface (with the big digital numbers and easy tabs) and am mostly looking for something a bit snappier that has some inventive features ( like being able to use 8Gig memory cards) built in.
can anyone recommend me a ROM (official or non) that would suit me?
Feel free to ask for recommendations of your own!

Not to make you feel bad, but, what you posted is something redundant and has been discussed many times in the ROM section.

This is another thread that should not exist. If you had searched, you would have seen lots of closed threads about this very topic. ROMs are very subjective, and so is Radio version. You are just going to test every single one that looks interesting to you.

Is this the reason you earned your "wings"?
When it comes to your answer, "You are just going to test every single one that looks interesting to you." Isn't that a little bit harsh? You should remember that not all the users here have all the time in the world to try out every ROM that comes around, people have lifes.
It must be cool to be senior, but to ***** @ everyone who starts a new thread is a little bit too much IMO.

then why do u think we should flash and tell u how we feel? why is it harsh? we dont know how u feel and what u want...even if u tell us..its just an opinion...if u dont have the time to test out for urself..then u shouldnt be flashing at all...this thread has all the ingredients to be *****ed at

I don't think that I hold myself out as "holier than thou". That being said, look at the URL for this website; xda-developers.com. If you are not willing to do any work yourself, and just want everything handed to you, then you need to leave.
I am by no means a developer, but I do my research before creating stupid/unnecessary threads. Go ahead, look at the threads I started... 7 over 21 months.

theres really nothing wrong with noob questions...we all had them...but if they've been asked over n over again...or people dont search the answers first...thats the problem..how hard is it to search before posting..maybe they have...but if u did deep n not post after searching and lookin at the titles of the first page...i'm sure all these threads wont exist

Camera software is pathetic on the tilt

is there a good camera software that just fixes all the issues with the stock camera on the tilt.
for example, I push camera mode, I can then zoom in and out simply with a remapped button.
also takes the picture when i hit the button, not 3 seconds later.
I have tried all the fixes, Nadavi, etc. NONE fix these issues, which I think are basically all that we want. a simple camera.

The camera has been talked about a LOT on these forums... you should probably search it, but most of the new roms have great camera software built in. I'm more than happy with my tilt's camera. It's a phone with a camera in it, not a camera with a phone in it. Low light pictures are going to suck no matter what, fact of life, get some decent lighting and get some decent pictures. My L26 V9 rom takes less than 1 second after pressing capture to take the pic.

ok, so lets do this then. Is there a cab file specifically addressing the camera issues. I don't want to have to flash a rom to the phone, I kinda like the way I have it set up now.
I really have no issues with picture quality, just the delay, and slow autofocus

I have been using Nadavi cab and HTC fix for long time, and the camera takes decent photos...NOT great.. but ok...
The lens's cover is one part of getting bad pictures, as well as the Drivers problem....
this is what you get with the tilt... and if you did a little research before getting it, you probably wouldn't have got that much upset...
I tried cool camera when I first got my Kaiser.. but it did not work... I'm not sure if they have a working version right now for the Kaiser!
I'm sorry for your shock... but that's the fact about the kaiser's camera...

Here is another useless post:
This is what I don't get, people spend hundreds of dollars buying a phone they know nothing about and did no research on ( camera is an extensively well documented problem).
They then join a developers forum, that they know no one on, and know nothing about, and start to whine like a child about a problem that has been talked about 1000 times on the forum ( if they had bothered to do any reading whatsoever ).
Then when a senior member tells them" it is what it is " and it has already been covered 1000 times and that it is against forum rules to start redundant threads, as their fourth post they fire back as above.
You obviously joined to add significant information to the cause and to make lots of new friends. I lurked on this forum for five months, learning and gathering before I ever felt the necessity to post.

I just have to agree with the newbie. I read about six zillion posts trying to find something out - can you lift a rom off a phone and reflash to another phone from the same carrier without spl (orange uk post).
Not a single 'senior' posted an answer, but post a question that has been covered over 1600 inter related posts and you get this stupid flame response. If you 'seniors' are so smart, why not just post the url with the answer.........

And why not just post a url with the answer??? Because this in no way, shape or form encourages people to use the search to find the answer and instead complicates the forum for the people that follow the rules and DO use the search.
So let me get this straight.... You didn't get a reply for your question, which upset you. But when someone who asks something that has been covered (like your question has) and gets flamed for it, this ALSO upsets you? How exactly do YOU want us to reply to redundant threads? Jeez, for someone that has contributed absolutely nothing to the community you sure are picky and demanding.

How can you read six zillion posts, you obviously didn't start with the sticky/wiki at the top of the forum. Whole section on dumping roms and whole section on flashing carrier roms, (carrier spl) and cooked roms (Hardspl). The fact that your question was ignored, is a testament to the availability of the answer, not a lack of intelligence by the senior members.
I don't think that it is erroneous to say that 75% of all questions here are answered in the wiki, and another 15% can be answered with a basic search.
What I don't get part deux.
The useless post to complain that " there are too many useless posts to weed through to find an answer to my question."
It is just me? Tell me, I can take it.

I agree with you. I was on this site for a long time before I signed up and more time after before I posted my very first two questions (several days ago). I searched and searched and I must say it was very un-inviting to find multiple 8-16 page threads containing "Security Unlock". I wanted to know what it was and all I found was how to do it and the problems people were having... and some flaming... Anyway, one of my questions was answered and the other ignored. I read almost every post of the 16 page thread and finally found the answer in one single post (the search didn't put me on the right page for some reason).
I know there's a LOT of information on here, but it seems like some pruning needs to be done on posts such as this one commenting on rules and flaming... at least in the more informative threads...

Have you ever loaded KaiserTweak? One of the settings you can 'tweak' is the shutter delay which greatly improved the performance of my camera (it made the camera actually usable!)
The slow autofocus is still an issue for me but I just live with that as it only really has an effect when I am trying to take pictures of my niece and nephew who don't stop moving!

you tube not workin on HTC handset

over the last few days youtube hasnt been working for me when i click on the video i want to view the program says connecting then after a few seconds it says 'unable to connect'

ok so my rom version is 1.56.405.5 radio version is 1.27.12.11 and the program is 'streaming media' by htc version 2.20, hope that helps

The Kaiser does not have native support for YouTube. You should download and install a program called TCPMP, and also download the FlashVideoBundle plugin for it. I cannot point you to a specific link because there are several different versions of TCPMP/FlashVideoBundle, so you have to experiment and find which one works for the ROM you are running.

A) youtube is supported natively using the mobile youtube service
B) occasionally, maybe its just a bit better to respond by suggesting or asking for more information, as opposed to just shouting back "You need to provide more information"...way to help

i once had a cooked rom that was playing youtube i (think) and i am pretty sure it was released by Hyperdragon look at his roms

Which ROM to use???

Alright, before some people get started, I have read the noob's sticky and have done the HardSPL and such. I am just having SO MANY problem's with everything (just the AT&T Tilt, I need to get rid of the AT&T crap) so I just want to know what ROM people would recomend for person who doens't need crazy special program's. All I use is the internet and text msging and some GPS. What is the fastest ROM with pretty much the most basic program's on it?
I had the AT&T Rom which I unlocked by getting the unlock code and then I did the hard reset and configured the phone and then a soft reset before the AT&T crap got loaded onto my phone but now I can't set up the internet???? (I think's it's because I don't have the AT&T program to turn off the proxy?)
I know you guy's get a lot of these question's that seem stupid but I am new to the Kaiser so help would be very much appreciatted.

haha search? it's all good just search a lot before posting personally i spend atleast two days searching threads and trying things before i post up my problem.

You should start trying the last Official Rom, look for them in the wiki

Well, I don't think this is the wrong forum to ask - it has nothing to do with ROM DEVELOPMENT, it is just a general question!
I too would say: try the latest offical HTC ROM - it has no user customization / user preferred application integrated and is almost clean. In addition, it has everything to get you started, from AUTO NETWORK / INTERNET CONFIGURATION to STREAMING MEDIA PLAYER.

I think it is hilarious how people just LOVE to get on other's ass's about simple question's. I am asking for people OPINION'S!!!!!!!!! If you don't feel like giving one well hell, THEN DON'T!!!!!! Also the wrong forum thing, that's strange because I don't think that I am developing any rom's am I? I thought this was a "general" question? It's funny because when I have talked to people on other site's, this is EXACTLY what they said about some people here, instead of just helping you the love to chirp about nothing.

You know, it's not even that, but when you get ongoing threads about the same idea, it gets extremely annoying.
The ROM i like wont necessarily be the ROM that you like; it's a matter of taste and content.
Anyhow, to answer your question, i'm on my own Kareem's RevROM v4.44.

I understand what your saying 100%, the only thing is what do I search? Like I went to the "built in forum search" and when I type in what I am looking for (under Kaiser obviously) I get like 100 thread's that each have 100 page's? I am not trying to be that lazy guy that want's everything done, I am just that new guy that want's to learn how to make a good phone freaking awesome.

I want to get this internet going since I am paying for 6GB's a month haha.

For me some of the best Kaiser Roms are ROMeOS 4.6 (no manilla) and Solace 1.5 or 2.0 Beta (manilla 2D).
Unfortunately both Chefs have moved on from cooking Kaiser roms, so those are probably the last versions of each.
Anyway, those Roms are fast, and use the minimalistic mentality. They do not come with anything extra, however there are extra applications in the extended ROM if you want to install them.

That is exactly the point. The reason you get 100 different threads when you search is because of threads like this one. Now the next guy will get 101 different threads.
This place is a great database of knowledge, but these threads don't add anything to that. Nothing new will be learned in this thread - no new problem solved. Threads like this just make the informative posts and knowledge gaining threads less likely to be found.
People aren't getting on you because they don't want to help or they just want to yell, it's because they see the big picture. They see that in trying to help yourself, you are hurting everyone else.
My Tilt is the first phone I've ever had that could do more than call someone, yet using only information that I've gleaned from this site, I've been able to unlock my phone, flash dozens of different ROMs, flash dozens of different radios, write my own scripts, and develop my own small apps to accomplish what I wanted to do. The key part here is that I did all of this without starting a single thread. I'm sure there are hundreds of others who can say the same thing....and it's probably why they seem annoyed. They know it's possible to find the information because they've done it....but they also know that it's now becoming increasingly more difficult to find it again.
If you don't know what to search for, just start browsing the ROM development forum and look for the threads that are the hottest and that have the most posts. That will tell you which ROMs people are using. Find a handful of them and read the details. See which ones look the cleanest and don't have the apps that you don't want (or have the ones that you do).....and then try a few. Kareem's right - my answer is going to be different than his or anybody else's. There will be just as many answers as there are ROMs, so looking through the ROMs themselves seems like the obvious way to get the information you seek.
You can be a great contributor to this place by taking the time to find the information that is already present, and in doing so, making it easier for the next user to do the same.
