weird message in my inbox! - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

My tytn II crashed today, then crashed again and again and again! I've narrowed it down to my HTC home and a weird message in my inbox, listed as 'no sender, no subject' and no file size, it just says ok. i can't delete this file from within outlook, and don't know how to get rid of it. It's not on my work computer (I use push email). If I untick HTC home things work fine, but the email is still there.
Any clues what the problem may be, or indeed how I get rid of the damned message??!!
Thanks.
Matthew

i'm having trouble with my tmobile wing(HTC Herald)!!

so one of my text messages is stuck in the outbox folder and i try to delete it but it doesn't go away. i've tried to move it to another folder but it doesnt work either. this has happened to me once before and it went away. now its occuring again and keeps sending messages to my friend! i've already tried soft reseting it but it doesnt work so i'm thinking to hard reset it.. how would i be able to back up my files? or can somebody help me get rid of the message in my outbox?

Unresponsive Email

I was hoping somebody would be able to help me :
My TYTN II has been working just fine, but just the other day my email program just stopped working. No matter where I try to open it from, it doesn't open. I can't even receive SMS messages (because it is the same program that handles emails). Also of interseting note is that PocketCM contacts, when opened loads then closes itself. None of my other programs (like Emoze) can access the email box either. I've even tried running the tmail.exe directly from the windows directory, but alas no luck.
Can anybody help?!
Anything would be helpful
same prob here. its not the first time it has happened. the previous times i had to do a hard reset in order to fix it. I do not want to to that again. please help.
If pulling your memory card fixes the problem then the issue is corruption on the memory card. To stop the problem change the setting in messaging so that attachments are stored in main memory and not the card.

I have the same issue. Im on Orange in the UK
Have deleted all messages...rebooted phone about 4 times.
Ok this wht u need to do backup only ur mssg using the PIM Backup software avalibale in the forums and then u restore them back with the option of deleting all the mssg in ur phone... I had the same problem when i did this it worked like a charm and I never faced the same problem again hope it works fer ya
Well, there's something silly that you may not have thought of.
Go to the messages tab, and press "All Messages", and then, if you see some messages whivh have title written in bold, read them by clicking on them.
Works with me, maybe your problem is different.
Well i tried the PIM backup, and i tried deleting all sms, mms, mails, manually... my message tab still says 1 message, but the message window says no messages....
Other suggestions?

Messaging is missing

Anyone ever encounter a problem with messaging not opening? It's as if the program is just missing, but I don't receive any kind of error message.
I have network access, but selecting either email or text message, results in no action.
Everything was fine until a day or two ago. I'm wondering if I inadvertently deleted something.
Any ideas?
I had the same problem a while back. I found the answer in this forum somewhere.
Just delete the inbox folder on your storage card and you're good to go. Don't ask me why, it just works. This folder is then recreated automatically.
Let me know if it works for you.

MAC
Check and see if you have multiple inbox.mst**** directories on your storage card, erasing these made my messaging work again. Not sure if you will lose your email though.
Worked like a charm - thank you.
yeah i have the same problem..i dont even have a way to send out txt msges. All that is there is email..no sms..i deleted the two inbox things but nothing happened. Someone please help me i cannot receive or send text msges...HELP
I had a similar problem had no email or text messages.. ended up deleting cemail.vol in the root directory and then setting up my emial again.. then it worked.. of course I lost everything I had in my email box... so maybe backup cemail.vol to another directory before you try...
Just delete email box on your storage(card or phone), or mailattch.box, and reconnect with active sync, synhronise your mails, and your messaging function will be back.

Messaging not working on HTC Diamond

Does anyone have the same problem? All of a sudden, an error message appeared saying that there is a problem with the APLauncher.exe then I can't open any messages!!
I can't open any SMS or Emails by selecting Start menu - Messaging - SMS \ MMS or Hotmail - press on any message title. All it gives me is a blank screen. I have checked in Device/Windows/Messaging and seems to have all the messages there (.mbp) files.
Can anyone help
Reset?
This may be an obvious answer, but have you tried a soft-reset?
Done and not doing the job. It went ok for a while, and it is not working again. I know I can do hard reset but of course don't want hee hee.
Any other suggestion anyone? like a .cab file to install the APlauncher.exe to replace the old one?
