Just picked up an unlocked kaiser. Maybe it's just late and i'm not searching right. I'm looking for a simple way to change the att rom to a tmobile rom or something without all the att logos and apps smeared all over the place. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've been extremely successful in getting everything available in this forum installed and working on a SIM/CID-Unlocked Tilt that I bought today (THANKS POF!).
What's now needed for all of us ATT Tilt owners is a Keymapping CAB. I was hoping that the Advanced Config would have the correct mapping in it but it doesnt.
If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be glad to knock out the CAB or if someone has something available, please post... there's gonna be a lot of people looking for this!

If you still have the ATT ROM loaded, can you look in the \Windows dir and find the *.provxml files? The answer may be there.
i dont understand whats the big deal about unlocking phones? someone care to explain... im planning to buy an att tilt and i like modding my 8525 but i never unlocked it is it important that i do?

CID unlocking your phone allows you to flash your phone with any "non-native" carrier or "cooked" ROM. If you don't CID unlock your device, then you're stuck using AT&T-only ROMs (in your case).

I already unloaded the ATT ROM but I suppose someone here will have that file. Could it be extracted from an .NB file?

oh i guess i did unlock my 8525 then (i dont remember doing it tho)- im running black satin on it... anyway what roms are there for the tilt? the att one, and the htc one? which one is better?

Does anyone know of a hack for for the ATT Tilt...specifically for us left-handed users?
I would LOVE to get the scroll bar that is on the right side over to the left side. I cannot believe that they left this out again....for over 20% of the population is left-handed....
Any help on this would be great....and if there is not something out there....does anyone out there have the where-with-all to create such a hack???

I don't think there is a 'simple' method to do this.
If you search around MSDN there are a few blogs stating that this is in much demand and on the 'Want to do' list of the embedded CE (base of all Windows Mobile) to be included in a future release at some point by MS.
Being one of the 80% I may not understand your problem, but with the jogwheel and the finger swipe scroll with touchflo on the kaiser is there a need for scroll bars?
i am left handed as well...

thanks i couldnt find the name of it and tried unrooted tmobile update but couldn't find it. I also noticed that you work on the leds with hero, sometime drop me a pm i had theory with leds for mytouch, once it gets rooted it might have already been thought of

I hear you and have a 3 UK XZ.
I will see what I can do, but do not take this as a promise.
First of all I have to get up at 4:45 am tomorrow for work.
I am having car troubles and a lot of my free time is being spent at the moment getting to the bottom of that. I have a weird problem with an old BMW and diagnostics hasn't helped much. So far it's cost me about 6 days of my girlfriends and my time together and about £200.
I have absolutely no idea how to extract the ROM from my phone. I am almost computer illiterate. I have had a read how to do it, and there are guides on here so I will try and work it out. I read it once the other day and my mind as gone blank again so I will have to try and get to grips with it.
Finally, my phone is up for sale on Gumtree, so if someone buys it before I have a chance to look into this it won't happen.
I will see what I can do but for your sake I hope someone else can provide the ROM for you.
By all means say "Hi" to me, but reserve your thanks until I have actually come through with something.

Hi Charlodroid, no this wont work. This installs the generic unbranded UK rom , not the "3" branded rom.

It's bugging me when I open my doors and it shows the opposite side. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Door open indicators reversed (My car is RHD) - is there a setting somewhere ?

I got an email from Erisin. From memory....I think you have to go to settings....car settings....factory settings.....enter code 126.....canbus settings then you should find the door settings in there.
