I am trying to view the Kaiser ROM Development forum via Newsbreak (RSS)
I used this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=378
"Error: Channel data is not valid..."
I also wanted to access Kaiser General. So I used this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=377
"Error: Channel data is not valid..."
I played with the links a bit and found that this link worked for the general forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2\&forumids=377
(Notice the backslash before the "&")
However, that did not work for the ROM development sub forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2\&forumids=378
"Error: Channel data is not valid..."
So does anyone have this working with Newsbreak (or RSS Hub)?
...or any other RSS reader (for WM) I guess?
P.S. The "http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=378" link works just fine in Firefox.

Whenever I visit my bank https web site portal with Opera, my touch diamond restarts.
IE is reporting:
“The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost … “
Only that site is provoking restarts.
I do have to visit regularly this particular site.
(Its E - Bank portal) – https://www.banka.com.mk/
I will repeat …. Only this site is provoking restarts.
My opera ver. is 9.5 b2745 and this is very strange for me….
I can open on other mobile devices …
Any explanations?
Thanks!

Macedonia's got a long way to go to professionalise internet Banking.
The reason you are not getting responses is that in most cases people will nit go out and just click on links.
I have only read that Skyfire actually has a reset command in it's code.
Haven't seen that info on Opera.
Another good thing would be to post which rom you are using this version of Opera on.
And an even better idea would be to take a look at the Opera Thread over at Development and Hacking.
All,
Has anyone found an app that will work on the ViewSonic G-Tablet that will allow me to fill in PDF forms?
I have a number of forms I've created for work that allow me to document changes to our network (HIPAA requirement). and I was hoping to use my G-tablet to carry with me to fill in the forms instead of my laptop.
The forms have required fields, Check Boxes, as well as Drop Down lists.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Adobe's Acrobat Reader should work. It's available free at adobe.com (I'm running the new version X on my gTab, Vegan ß3 - Haven't tried PDF fields yet, but everything else works great).
You will need to "rights enable" your PDF in Acrobat Professional if you want to save your filled form or post your data online to a backend server. Acrobat Pro is also needed to create the fields in the first place. There may be other software available that can do that as well, but none for Android AFAIK.
If you can use a regular PC to create the forms, you could also look at OpenOffice.
Check out this blog entry on PDF form creating with OpenOffice :
(can't post links, so you will have to paste it)
danilop.wordpress.com/2008/07/02/how-to-create-pdf-forms-with-openoffice/
I haven't used OpenOffice before, but it sounds like a good suggestion.
Only issue I'm having right now is accessing their webpage from my G-Tablet. Everytime I try to connect, I get an FC and then it hangs the Tablet. (Running (TnT Lite 2.2.1) I'll keep playing with it and post my results.
Any other suggestions are welcome! ;-)

Is there any way to open up pdf files that are embedded in frames? Thanks
I have tried multiple browsers (chrome, dolphin, integrated android one) with no success.

I've never used schizoid only AOSP, but when I click on a link with a pdf file it's downloaded, then I use an Adobe reader to read them.
Hope this helps.
It is only terrible websites that have PDF files in frames. like this:
ugh unable to post link to it: if one searches on google "pdf in frame" it is the first link.
I wouldn't care about 1990's web design except one website I really need access to won't load!
Thanks!

I see what you mean, ugh.
Maybe this link will help : http://drupal.org/node/
From the little I read, it seems Firefox has a plug in for this. Take a look at it, maybe that will be your solution.
Good luck.

Drupal is a content management system which allows you to create and maintain many different types of websites without needing to know any coding languages.

Displaying PDF in frame

I have all the pdf files in one folder www.mysite.com/images/ . Is it possible that via some php script whenever user access those pdf files either directly or through google, it is opened inside a frame (with my website's logo, menu etc as the top banner above the pdf) instead of opening directly as pdf file?

Opening PDFs inside browsers
Posted by styro on September 20, 2006 at 8:43pm
is a browser plugin thing at the client, the webmaster can't control that. Some PDF readers or OSes don't include browser plugins for PDFs, and always handle PDFs as downloads. Some paranoid users (after all Acrobat Reader has some security issues apparently) might switch off PDF browser plugins.
As for opening in a frame, you couldn't do that with a link directly to the PDF (eg public downloads). With private downloads you might be able to add to the system (?) module to change the download pages to use frames somehow - but IMO it would be a lot of pain for very little (if any) benefit.

With Firefox on Android you can install the PDF Viewer as an addon. This is the viewer that now ships with the desktop version. I've used it before to view PDFs in the browser, its not as smooth as Adobe, but will probably work for you:

Hi guys,
This is my first post in XDA and this question should be posted in "Windows Phone 8 Development and Hacking" but unfortunately, i don't have the minimum requirements of 10 posts for the Development and Hacking Section so i am hoping for someone to give me a push here.
I am looking for a way to access my shared folder on my LAN through Windows Phone Application. I have downloaded a sample from Microsoft which uses File Picker. When i run the project as a windows store application I select network, I type the UNC path and I can browse the folders, but when i run it in phone emulator the network option does not exists. I have searched Google for an example on how to enumerate shared folders in my LAN and i have not found any solution.
So if someone could help me it would be really appreciated.
Thank you
First of all, no, this thread *DEFINITELY* belongs where you put it. System working as intended. This is a Q, it goes in Q&A. It is neither something you've developed nor a hack to share, it does not go in D&H.
With that said, the problem is unfortunately simple: WP8 doesn't (seem to) support Windows networking (SMB) at all, so far as I can tell. This is somewhat odd, since it has both the LanmanServer and LanmanWorkstation services, which are responsible for providing Windows Networking support, plus all the relevant binaries appear to be present. This warrants further investigation!
You can, in theory, implement it using sockets (see Samba for an open-source implementation of SMB, though note that it is GPL code and if you use it you must open-source your application as well) in any case.
