Help with Tilt voicemail message indicator - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I have problems with my Tilt's message waiting indicator. It notifies me sporatically. If I do a soft reset it will work for a few hours. The only way to know if I have a voicemail is to check by calling. Please help.
Thanks

Anyone have suggestions?

Assuming you have ATT since you have a Tilt you can try calling and have them reprovision your voicemail box. Also how is your SMS/Text message reception/service? Are your text messages sometimes delayed also? You can test randomly be sending yourself a text message to 151 and waiting to see how the response takes.

Unlocked Tilt cannot send SMS

Greetings,
I purchased an unlocked 8925/Tilt over the weekend and had great success using it immediately on the TMobile network. This morning I noticed my SMS messages would not send. I could receive messages, but got the dreaded "Your text message cannot be sent." dialog.
I've checked the SMS Service Center number (via Settings / Phone / Services / Get Settings) and from what I can find via google it appears to be right.
I last used the SMS yesterday about 7 PM and it was fine. This morning at 7 am it gave me this message and has continued for the last 4 hours.
Anyone have any thoughts??
Thanks!
UPDATE: As it turns out the phone WILL send the SMS messages, but only when I have connected to a voice call.
Did you try a soft reset?
SMS not sending
Thanks for the reply.
I should have stated... I have performed a soft reset as well as a hard reset. I have verified the SMS Service Center number is correct as well.
Anyone else ever run into this?
Here's a stupid question, sorry if it offends: Have you tried multiple recipient numbers, i.e. perhaps the one that is failing is due to the number you're sending to, not your device?
cannot send SMS
Not a stupid question. I've tried numbers on different carriers with no luck.
I've called TMobile, and they want to me to try my Sim in another phone which I will have to try later this evening.
Just thought it was strange that it worked fine, I went to bed, and it quit working. Perhaps the Sim card went bad. I've had it a long time.
Tilt cannot send SMS away from home area
After days of testing, hard resetting and scanning this board I appear to have come up with the solution.
I installed "Advanced Config", adding a button to the Comm Manager for 3G and disabling 3G. Not an issue for me as 3G isn't available on TMobile in my area.
If I continue to have trouble I will try replacing the phonesettings.dll and changing the phone band as mentioned in this thread.
Thanks to help from this thread:

HELPPPP
I've been having a similar issue for the past 4 days. I'm using dutty's 6.1 rom. I used to be able to send/receive sms and mms messages. One day, mms messages wouldn't work anymore so I did the auto connection setup in the settings panel and it corrected the mms problem. However, sms messages can't be sent out anymore. I always get the message "Your text cannot be sent." I can receive sms messages but cannot send them out. I've tried searching the forums and it seems like others are in the same boat. There is a thread stating that I should turn off 3g in my comm manager, but it is already disabled. I've tried sending the text message with 3g on and off. It doesn't work no matter what. I've also trying to setting the band of the phone for gsm 1800 like another thread had instructed, but that doesn't work either. It isn't a sim card problem because I can put it into another phone and send and receive them just fine.
Some one help me, please!
anyone have ideas?
figured it out. changed the setting back to gsm mode. i must've changed it to gprs somehow.

SMS Messaging Time

When i receive a text message, my phone shows that it was received 5 hours earlier. For example, if i have a friend send me a text to try it. I recieve the text at 9PM but on my phone it says i receive it at 4PM. Does anybody know how i can resolve this issue?
This CAB works, it was an update from my carrier.
enjoy!
Cool, it worked.
Thanks alot, jbarns!

VM Indication Issue

Okay I have had this issue for a couple months since I changed my cell number. Same phone, same carrier. It's constantly telling me I have VM waiting but when I say okay go check my VM it tells me there I have no new messages. Yet the indicator will not go away. Any suggestions or way to manually remove/reset this??
Try leaving yourself a voicemail message, then calling it, and deleting it.
That should purge the icon.
I've had several voice mails since then but that same "8 voice mails waiting" alert comes up when my phone is restarted and the little notification icon stays in my taskbar. I'm frustrated and was hoping there was a registry entry or something where I could reset it?
This is resolved. AT&T actually had to remove my voicemail and add it again and then reset the indicator from there.

FRF83 Google Voice not pushing Voice Messages?

I missed a call earlier and the caller left me a message, but I didn't get the voicemail notification from Voice until 40 minutes later.
I double checked my settings and push is enabled.
I just tested it again right now with another Voice message and the Google Voice website is showing the message in my inbox, but my phone is sitting here oblivious to the message. My phone even just alerted me to an email, but still no notification of the voice message.
I may have to switch back to my carrier's VM or turn on the SMS. I can't be missing voicemails by 40 minutes.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Well it figures that as soon as I make a thread on it I fix it.
To fix this I went in and unchecked push in Voice. The first time I tried to uncheck it, it gave me an error. Then I tried again and it unchecked. Then I exited Voice and went back in to it. It was still unchecked so I checked it.
I had my girlfriend leave 2 test messages and both hit the phone instantly. Yay.
I'll leave this here in case anyone else has this issue.

[Q] Not always instantly recieving text messages

Hi,
I'm on EE UK's network, basically I don't always recieve a text message from someone until I actually try to contact them (through a phonecall or a text message) which then it'll flush any messages to me.
Is there anyway to stop this from happening? My signal is normally okay and it's led me into a few stupid situations so far.
Thanks
I had this problem after flashing certain modems. Some work better than other for your country/network.
Thanks
Anyone else got any input?
