Taking my Unlocked Tilt to the Balkans - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I'm taking my unlocked Tilt, sim and cid, to the balkans (serbia, bosnia, croatia, etc). Has anyone been there with their Tilt? Any issues? Also, does anyone have any advice or suggestions on which radio might be the best for that part of Europe?
Thanks in Advance!

Hi dshanesmith,
I live in Balkans (Kosovo), and have HTC Kaiser, running on Dutty's Diamond v1, with 1.58.25.17. Previously had dutty's april 6.1 on 1.65.08.21, and none of these has reception issues, often tried it in Macedonia and Serbia as well.
Hope this helps.

works fine here too

New Radio Version. Explain it to me like I'm 4 years old.

Be easy on me. This is all semi-Greek to me.
I bought a TyTN II from Expansys a year ago. Generally speaking, it's been a good phone...mostly.
Had to send it in to HTC get some warranty work done. While it was in the shop, I went to my local AT&T store and bought a new Tilt to use while my TyTN II was in the shop. While travelling the hinterlands of North Dakota and Minnesota, I noticed a significant difference between the Tilt's ability to grab a signal in these remote areas, and the abilities of my TyTN II to do the same.
Upon inquiry with HTC as to this noticed difference, they said it could be a radio issue. That my Expansys supplied, (European, I think) TyTN II would not necessarily have the optimum radio set for the US market. Now that I have my TyTN II back, I want to upgrade the radio and/or ROM.
So, how do I do this? I understand conceptually what they're saying, but to go beyond this, I'm kind of at a loss. If you can help me, please take me step by step. Where do I download? What version? How do I download, etc.
I have the following:
WM 6.1 Professional
CE OS 5.2.19212 (Build 19212.1.0.3)
ROM Version: 3.28.405.0 WWE
ROM Date: 05/02/08
Radio Version 1.65.17.56
Protocol Version: 25.83.40.02H
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, if it makes a difference, I live and travel mostly in MN, ND, SD, and Iowa, but national travel is fairly often. No International travel.

Best Radio for At&T Tilt Kaiser 8925 I do Traveling

I was wondering what the Best Radio is because i Travel and need a Radio that will work in All Areas. Any advice would be appreciated. Also I read about Diamond_Radio_1.00.25.BS14. Will that work with my current settings and is it good or will it Brick my phone?
Thank you,
Mark
Phone Type: AT&T Tile 8925 Unlocked
Operating System: Hyper Dragon III OPAL (October 11th 2008)
Radio Version: One that came with Hyper Dragon III
Location: United States
I'm suprised nobody yelled at you for this one...
Try them all, see which works best.
If you travel a lot, pick up a 2 GB microSD card and have the radios on there so you can flash on the fly. That's what I did / do.

Can I get a UK Kaiser to work in th USA

Hi
any help would be appreciated I have a UK Kaiser (TYTN II) that I am selling and a potential buyer wants to know if it will work in the USA can anyone answer this or tell me if there is a ROM or something that would be needed.
Thanks
Kat
You should be OK with the stock ROM; I've been using a UK Kaiser on the AT&T 3G network for over a year, running the factory WM 6.0 ROM.
If his network uses GSM/UMTS standards then yes.
Thanks for the help guys

T-Mobile MDA Vario- Please help for Software upgrade!

I'm using TyTN II (Sold in Europe by T-Mobile as MDA Vario) running on WM6 Professional.
Checked HTC url for WM6.1 upgrade, but my mobiles serial# has no updates! I believe many of the users are facing this problem.
Can anyone plz help us for upgrading to WM6.1?
Also there is hanging problem, which some say that it's TyTN II's unresolved issue?! Comment on this pl.
Thanks a lot in advance...

If you have a T-Mobile phone, why don't you download the update from the t-mobile site?
(and remember it's a one way upgrade, no turning back... I wished that i didn't upgrade my phone because it is much slower)
But T-mobile site no more provide support to this model!
Anyone to help?!
Please excuse if this is a repeated question. Kindly help!
