Anyone know how to make the weather read in English instead of Metric? Love the Home page, its way better than the AT&T. I included it here if someone else wants it, Just do a soft reset of your phone and then download this, its the latest version. ( To do the soft reset take your stylis and press it in the small hole to right of the battery charger connection, When it resets it will try to reload AT&T, when it says in 3 Secounds, press the reset again and you should be fine. There are alot of threads telling you how to do this, if Im not that clear than Google it. After you reset your phone you will loose ringtones and contacts saved to the phone and any caps you have added that arent saved to your memory card (if you have one). Just download the attachemnt open it and it will do the rest. Hope this helps. Now maybe someone can help me, if you know how to change the weather display from metric to english let me know.

er... The metric system is in english.
Ok for those who r slow. In the US we prefer Fahreheit not Celsius. The difference is English to Metric. So if you dont know the answer save your time by not posting. No one wants to read about how u dont know the difference between the two.

Actually the term is Imperial, not English. So when Psionandy answered you he was correct. The english use the metric system,

Go to Start > Settings > System > Regional Settings and choose any country that uses "English Imperial".
(Which is pretty much no country on the planet, except for the righteous US of A, Liberia & Burma.)
And.. If you read the manual that came with your phone, as well as searching around before asking such a basic question, you'll piss off a lot less people than you already have.

No Worries I think you threw everyone off by saying "English" instead of "Imperial"
Try this as well : Click on your city name in the forecast mode of weather panel (not just the first screen / todays weather) This should bring up the city select creen. On the bottom, click on menu, and choose weather options. You should be given the choice between deg C or F, and auto-update configs.

Tap on the city name. When the city selector comes up, tap on "menu" and then "weather options." Select Fahrenheit from the resulting screen.

Start, Settings, System, Device Information... Call Duration. How do you wipe those figures from your handset folks? Must be a way somehow but how?!
Please gimme a clue cus i'm trying to sell my handset 'as new' and even though i've only used the phone for about 2 hours total, in and outgoing, it'd still be nice to have no comebacks with it.
Besides... someone else might need this info for some other reason to so if you know... shout loudly please!!!!!!!!
By the way... ROM changing doesn't do a thing. Looks like it's part of the handset's brain so... well i dunno now actually! HELP!!! lol

There are 3 command you can enter:

These do the following
[email protected]?1 - Shows Outbound time in HEX
[email protected]?0 - Shows Inbound time in HEX
[email protected]=270F,270F - Reset both timers to zero.

You might need security unlock or Hard SPL at least to do this.
So if you have HardSPL already, you possibly need security unlock. Security unlock is still been worked on at the moment, so you could be stuck for a while.
Sorry, but I don't own a Blackstone to test on.

Illegal? Well 2 things.
1. As you'll have noticed, i'm new to all this side of things as far as XDA goes so i was unaware of that.
2. Tell that to everyone else and quit hassling me.
The ethics and ethos of this have been discussed everytime a thread like this is started.
As this is not possible at the moment I see no need for this discussion to continue.

To tell the truth I have no idea, Flar decides the order where new forums are inserted.
From what I've observed over the years, she try and keeps similar devices together to make it intuative to find similar phones, but I'm not sure on the exact criteria (and if it stays the same each time a new forum is added ).

That is an AWESOME YouTube clip. I work in an Electronics store so it was particularly relevant to me.
I think the Index page will just be an XDA-Developers mystery. We can all contemplate the meaning of the Index page and come to our own conclusions, and make religions trying to explain it. All the while trying to make sense of it and praying that when your new device comes out it isn't stuck right in the middle somewhere causing you to always scroll around.
I for one am curious, but at this point I think I'd rather not even know IF there is a formula for device placement.

Is this the game? Because last I checked, this wasn't freeware ($9.99 in the Marketplace).
Besides, sounds like the OP already has the game and is having the same problem a lot of other people are with VGA screens. In the game, the right section of the screen is cut off so that you can't access the menu or action buttons (fortunately the hardware button acts as an action button, but still no menu).

Last I checked, using custom ROMs wasn't illegal, or against the XDA board rules, unlike posting warez cabs.
Has Anyone Gotten Zenonia to Behave?
I LOVE what I have been able to play of Zenonia, but the missing right half of the screen makes it un-playable, particularly due to the lack of the "back" button to get out of "dialog" boxes, like in the Blacksmith shop.
The "stats" update screen can be exited by going to the system tab (the "envelope" icon), going to the main screen, and then selecting "Continue Game". Getting out of the other screens is not so easy.
can anyone get this to work on the slide? i'm running cyanogen 6.1.1

also only works on certain cities. cant find the list but they say 100+ i didnt it with new york city.

Please take your backseat moderating somewhere else. I was using what we call "sarcasm". And clearly, the other part of my post did hold value: asking yajinni to clarify what he/she was saying. Thanks
To my point, I was asking yajinni to clarify for others who have tried this in NYC, I couldn't care less about NYC. But if the poster doesn't clarify what they meant, others testing in the area will not know what to appropriately respond to him/her with. Also, reading yajinni's previous post, it is clear he/she speaks English perfectly fine. So I felt like joking with their obvious typo, and then asking them "seriously" to clarify.
So, would you like a worth while post from me? Fine. I am in Tampa, and can confirm that the 3d models work in Tampa. The 3d models only show up in map mode. In satellite layer on, only tilt, no models. Again, this is in TAMPA, I have not had a chance to search every city supporting 3d models.

Good for you. I'm glad this accomplished something of great value. Nitpicking on another user you don't know about will leave a HUGE impact. I'm sure they will take it into their heart. They will also never forgot you and will thank you forever.

the way to make it work is to wait til gps finds you then hit the target button beside the layers button. hit it twice and it should automatically tilt a little bit and follow the way your facing. also we dont have the ability use the multi touch tilt and turn sadly. our device doesnt support it according to google but brut is making some headway in the g1 android development section so keep your eyes out there! we might end up having all of the features that google says we cant.
as for actual 3d tilt its only in certain areas as stated above. a way to verify its actually working scroll over to san diegp california after you hit the target twice and you should see buildings in 3d and if you do there and not your city then that means your city isnt supported yet

That is weird. I'm sure we got the same multi-touch sensors as the N1, Evo, Incredible, Original Droid, and any other older htc/moto phone

help section of gmaps is where you will find a list of all cities with 3d buildings. Menu>more>help
to enable the multitouch tilt and what not then head HERE you have to be in clockwork recovery and have system mounted but it does work i have tested this! kinda glitchy so smoothness isnt the best but it works lol
also on a side not with this edit it seems to figure out which direction im facing better then it used to so thats a plus! im not sure how many people were having that problem...
