Sync Problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Kudos to the developers and owners of this site!!!
Now has anyone experienced the following problem when syncing TyTnII
When I connect my TyTnII to my laptop which is connected to a wireless gateway my gateway has a hissy fit and locks up. I have to restart the gateway with the TyTnII disconnected from the laptop.
It gets annoying when trying to install directly onto TyTnII and I cant.!?!?!?
Any help would be appreciated....

Am I getting this right?
- Your laptop is wirelessly connected to a gateway
- Your Kaiser gets connected to your PC (bluetooth, USB,?)
=> Your gateway crashes...
I don't see any relation between both actions (though there apparently is one). Could you post some more info? Is there anything special about your network configuration?

I wonder if it's not the gateway that is crashing, but your laptop is the one crashing. I've noticed on mine that during the initial connection phase where my desktop is recognizing the phone, my internet connection will be interrupted. IE will hang searching for a page. If I unplug the phone the page will pull up instantly. If I plug the phone up and wait for the connection process to finish, all is good.

A Few Tilt Questions

First off, thank you to all who post here, I have found a ton of useful information on my new toy
New Tilt, only a few days old (it's been hard reset to remove bloat). I have a few questions that I haven't found answers for on here yet.
1. Establishing a BlueTooth sync connection to my work laptop. I can pair the devices, but my work laptop can only see 3 BT profiles: Dial-up Networking, Network Access Point and FTP. I would ideally like to be able to sync between the two just using a BT connection, but I can't seem to figure out how. My laptop uses a BT 1.2 adapter from D-Link (DBT-120).
2. In the mean time, I've been connecting my Tilt to my laptop with the USB cable. Every time I connect it, it forces down my laptops proxy settings to my active internet connection on my phone. Since the work internet access is restricted, I have all internet access on my phone set to use MediaNet. However, this breaks when the proxy setting is pushed down. How do I stop this from happening?
So far those are my only two issues with the Tilt. Awesome phone otherwise.

Lost my WiFi; please help.

Timeline of events leading up to the failure.
While connected to my home wireless router via WiFi on my Tilt, I was surfing Dutty's cab-page link but was unable to see any cabs; even after registering. So I then downloaded 2 cabs from these forums that were meant to aid in Bluetooth headset volume and installed them when I noticed my WiFi connection on the Tilt disconnected.
I've attempted to re-establish the connection with no success; even so much as to go through all the connection set-up steps and re-enter the router key.
The wireless router is operating fine and my Wife's Tilt is able to connect thru WiFi with no issues as usual; so not a router problem. I am still able to connect to the net thru the phone's basic internet eg. 3G etc. (I am typing this thread from the phone)
For months until now I've been able to connect with my wireless router on my Tilt; what could have happened?
Any suggestions for a fix?
Thanks in advance!
Christopher
Solution: I had to not only Remove the Programs but I had to delete the cabs in My Documents as well.
Guess I'll just suffer with low Jawbone volume

Internet connection sharing problem

Hi
My connection to internet through my diamond (internet connection over USB or bluetooth) is very unstable. The program show that it is connected and my computer gets an ip-adress from the phone, but I don't reach the internet (my phone answers to ping(default gateway))
The connection profile I'm using works (i use it to sync with Exchange) and one out of 10 times it works with my computer too
Anyone have similar problems?
Best regards
Andreassg
i have the same problem!
hey - i have the same problem - im trying on my mac (10.5.5), the computer connects to the phone fine and gets an IP address, but no data gets through to the net - strange though it works find using dialup bluetooth, just not using the internet sharing app and bluetooth lan connection. It has to be a windows mobile issue. Strange thing is though - and this is where things go strange, it works fine with the widcomm BT stack on an XP machine.
just my thoughts

Sync problems after connected by cable

I have quite a strange problem.
I'am using push mail on my Diamond. Everytime I have had my Diamond connected by cable to my work computer for charging it I have problems using push mail afterwards. The Daimond shows an error that it could not connect to the Exchange server which could be caused by network troubles, code 0x80072EE2.
I am also using Activesync on my work computer (Win XP) which means that my Diamond is also synched when connected by cable.
Are anyone having this problem? Only way to get my Diamond using push mail after it have been connected by cable is to restart it, then push mail is working just fine again. Should that really be necessary?
We are using Exchange 2007 at my work.
Please help me out here??
Chcek you connection setting, there are 2 connection, one should be to your ISP (your cell phone provider) the other one should be "My work network" , if you have other setting, by connect your cable at work, the lame Activesync add proxy setting to the exist connection and can **** your connection
if it's not "My work network" ...

Access Internet on Kaiser via PC

Ok I have been trying to use my pc connection and access that connection through my bluetooth on my kaiser, most I can get is the other way around. Any suggestions
Not sure that Internet Connection sharing in WinMo supports that...just wondering, why the heck would you want to surf the web on a 2.8" screen when you have a full PC available to you?
You can use the remote desktop facility via wifi. But as previously posted... why?! Bluetooth doesn't support a high enough datarate for it to work properly.
Connection at my location is 3G at best so bluetooth is defininitaly fast enough to accomidate my needs just simple stuff.

The best way to get the connection on your kaiser throught the pc is when you connect it using the USB and being connected to the active sync on your pc besides there are no settings need to be made for using this way. I'm not sure if you can connect the kaiser to you active sync on the pc through the bluetooth.anyway let me try it and if anything pops up, i'll let you know
Nope, no additional software required. Just go into Start - Programs - Internet Sharing. Hit connect and connect up your USB cable and you're done.
_Wait for ActiveSync to connect and then exit the programme._________________
Max confusion
What a jumble this thread has become . The O/P wanted to access the internet that's already on his PC and channel that through his TyTN II - NOT the other way around. As already mentioned in one post, one way of getting this is via an Activesync (or WMDC if it's Vista or Win 7 on the PC) connection. For greatest speed this would be via the USB cable but it is possible to have an Activesync or WMDC connection via Bluetooth for greater mobility if there's a need to carry the phone up to 10 m from the bluetooth hub. The other (more straight forward) way to do this is just to connect the phone via WiFi directly to the landline/broadband router (assuming there is a WiFi capable router avail).
Internet connection sharing is only for when the phones internet connection eg GSM/3G or HSDPA is feed to a desktop PC (say if the landline/broadband connection is down). In the O/Ps second post, the reference to Bluetooth speeds made it look like this was what was being saught.
I have done all of these with my TyTN II and had things working well in each case.
