problem with ignore/reject incoming call - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Is there a way to simply REJECT incoming call (caller hears 'busy' signal when i press red button)?
For now there's no difference between pressing end call hardware button, 'igore' software button, mute ring button and flipping the phone. Every action just mute ring, but DO NOT REJECT.
And I want to REJECT caller, when i want him to know that his call is not welcome in that moment.
Thx for help or tips how to make it work

press the hangup key?

The End Call hardware button definitely rejects. Does it not?

End call hardware button = hangup key = definitely NOT or maybe it's a matter of setting which i don't know where to look ;(

OK, just tried. I called myself from a different phone. The moment I press the hardware button I hear the busy signal...

ok, i tried too from 2 other phones - no busy signal - after pressing hardware button cannot do anything on Diamond, until other caller hangs off.
The moment of hangin off is thee moment when today screen backs.
strange... - settings maybe????
**********
OK, GOT IT!
Problem is in settings -> Phone -> Band
When set to auto - problem occurs
When manually set network type
red button really rejects.
Problem solved
But I still wonder why

I have exactly the same behaviour with my Diamond on Orange Switzerland Network. Changing the band settings to manual solved the problem! thanks for the tip!
But I'm wondering why too... :-/

Does not work here. (o2, Germany). If I get a call and press the reject button on screen the caller hears the message that the number is not availbale instead of a bussy signal.
Has someone a solution please cause this behavour is very confusing for the caller.
Thank you!
Solved the problem
I have set the wrong voice box number Now if someone calls me and I reject the call using the reject button the caller gets routed to my voicebox...

thanks........

HELP: T-Mobile Wing can't answer phone when I slide keyboard in

I don't know if there's a setting I missed or is this a major bug but if my phone's keyboard is slid out and my phone rings, I slide the keyboard in then wait for the phone to switch from landscape to portrait. Once it does what it does, I can no longer answer the call. I've tried hitting the "Answer" on the screen, the shortcut key assigned to it, and the green phone. I end up missing the call. Is this normal or is there a setting I can set?
Also, when I'm editing a contact and accidentally hit call, it will call the person first before I can cancel the call. I've repeatedly hit the red phone button and the "End Call" but it doesn't work until the call connects first. On all the previous phones I've ever owned and played with, I can cancel the call anytime before the call connects. Is this normal with this phone?

I thought that I remembered having the same thing happen, but in fact when I just tested I was able to slide the keyboard in and answer the call. There is just a little delay, but it did work for me after about 3 seconds. It even worked with 1 key press, and not repeatedly pressing the send key.

I think this is the same thing, just a little delay. I do this all the time and I just keep hitting end. It will always quit before it actually starts dialing.

Problem in answering incoming calls

I have a TyTn II and am very satisfied with it. However I have an annoying problem and would appreciate any help to fix it. When I have an incoming call, according to the instruction manual I can answer either by pressing the "Call" button (the one with the green telephone symbol) or by touching the softkey for "answer" (or the area on the touchscreen where "answer" is written). In practice, only the second method works. I have lost calls by insisting on keeping the call button pressed instead of using the softkey.
The call button works just fine for accessing the phone dialer, so it is not a hardware problem. Is there somewhere in the registry where the call button has to be mapped to answer incoming calls?
I live in Italy and use TIM as a provider. This should not influence things at all.
I am having a similar problem with my Mogul, except neither the green call button nor the "answer" softkey will work for me.

Delayed answering

Hi all,
Running my Orange UK (unlocked and on T-mobile) with Duttys 6.1 ROM and radio 1.64.08.21 and seem to have an issue when answering incoming calls.
I'm sure I've seen this reported elsewhere but can't find it for the life of me now!
When I recieve an incoming call and press the green answer button, there is about a 2 second delay before the call is connected. If you're not quick, TM voicemail takes the call. Seems to be a second of ringing on the calling handset before it starts ringing on the TYTN 2 as well.
Can someone confirm that I have seen this reported elsewhere and post a link or suggest if this is a ROM issue, radio issue or general Kaiser issue?
Only kept the orange rom for about 48 hours and went straight to Duttys so cant really recall if it happened on the orange rom.
Many thanks guys!
Not exactly the same problem, but I have a similar issue on my Tilt with my bluetooth headset. I press the headset button to answer and don't hear anything for about 1.5 seconds. Usually, the person calling is saying "hello? hello?" by the time I actually get connected.
The headset (Plantronics 510) works great for everything else.
Have you tried the following. I've seen this help some people including myself.
Start > Settings > Phone > Services Tab .. Highlight Call Forwarding and hit Get Settings ..
Forward phone calls only if: Forward After: there is a drop down box that some providers allow you to set the time before the call goes to viocemail. (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds) .. I think default was 20 on my phone/provider.
If your network provider doesn't allow changes from your phone you might have to call their customer service and request they manually change the network settings for you.
Same problem here as well! Same Rom (Dutty's), same network (Orange).
And I've only flashed last week and was on the standard Orange Rom before and there wasn't a delay. Any help is appreciated as this is a right pain.
I've changed to 30 seconds before diverting to the answerphone - so thanks for that response at least.

Had no idea that screen was there... Thanks! I've changed my call forward to 25 seconds, 'cause I had always felt it was going to vms too quickly.

I had this issue myself with Dutty's V4 RTM (WM 6.0) rom. Pressing the Green button would result in a 2 second delay in being able to answer the phone, but if I used the left soft key to answer, there was no delay.
Same problem here. T-Mobile vanilla ROM. Can take up to 5 seconds for the call to reach my earpiece.
Solved it!
I had seen elsewhere that turning off the kepad sounds and turning off smart dialing could help, but I can't find a smart dialing option in the phone options.
Just tried switching the the Windows dialler rather than HTC and turning off auto Audio record on the Resco recorder which I had forgotten about.
After bit of playing, it appears (quite obviously now) to be the Audio recorder!
Used to use this on my wizard without any notable problems, but seems to be an issue on the Kaiser. It answers and hangs up in an instant now
A bit specific, but if any of you guys have this kind of thing installled and configured, try turning it off?!
Thanks for the replies and suggestions and hope you get it sorted too!
I don't have Resco audio installed and it only happens occasionally but when it does it usually happens a few times in a row.
Sometimes I also get the ringtone coming through the BT headset while the kaiser sputters into life. Then a 2 second delay
before the BT headset beeps and the caller can hear me.
Occasionally, I can hear the caller at the same time as I can hear the ringtone. Just another 'feature' I guess.
"If you're not quick, TM voicemail takes the call"
There's usually a few seconds delay between 'hearing' the other phone ring and it actually ringing. Can be up to 5 seconds.
some default ring tones are timed 3+ seconds apart. Choose the wrong ring tone and ring tone type (increasing volume) and
it's possible to miss the first 2 rings which, if the answer after x seconds delay is set to 20 seconds gives someone about
5 seconds to answer the phone or miss the call. My GF suffered 'missed call syndrome' after fiddling with her Hermes.
You can adjust the voice mail answer after x seconds time in start/settings/phone/services/call forwarding/get settings
Forward calls only if [no answer should be ticked]
Drop down menu Forward after ..
Mine is set to 30 seconds.

loud tone when pressing call end button

or any on screen buttons in the HTC dialer. anyone know how to get rid of it? its supppper annoying
A little more information would be helpful -
1. does this tone happen when you press a button while on a call?
2. if it does - does your other party hear it or only you?
3. what buttons does it happen on touch screen buttons or only the buttons on the front of the phone?
4. is this when you have speaker phone on or a headset or simply using the phone?
5. is it only when you hang up or any button at any time while on a call?
6. do the buttons make normal sounds when you are NOT on a call?
7. have you turned off sound on your buttons - have you at least tried this to see if it kills the problem?
Bill
when in the dialer go Menu->Options then Keypad: Off
ahh keypad tones off got rid of the annoying beep lol thanks! wish there was a way i keep the beep for the numeric keypad without the obnoxious beep that came out of the speakerphone part rather than the ear piece when backspace/ call history/ speed dial is pressed
jut realized it still makes the annoying noise when it connects to a call
i found that someone had my exact problem on a wings smartphone. they edited the registires in order to turn it off. i played arround with mine all day but no luck. here is the thread if anyone can apply it to a kaiser id be very greatful!

[Q] Call answer softkey issue

My call answer softkey is being very temperamental, when I receive a call and press the answer softkey it will change color so I know it is not a touchscreen responsiveness issue, but it doesn't pick up the call...sometimes. Sometimes the call will pick up on the first press and sometimes I'll hit it 100 time before the call goes unanswered (this is usually the case), my answer hardkey doesnt work either. anybody have any ideas, I would like to avoid a hard reset if possible, I'm using the sprint stock rom
