thanks but there is no such option... only 24hr format is available
any register hack??? thanks.
look more closely
Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time ->Time style
there are many on the dropdown list
Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings/Time
Choose
HH:MM:SS - 24 hr format
H:MM:SS - 12 hr format
I'm also searching for changing date in the home screen. WOuld like the long date format (day month year).
The regional settings are only for programs (sms, text, etc.)
I guess we have to use registry but WHERE ?
There is also a way to change the date format in TF3F screen for example to:
"Sa, 05.07.08"
here´s the how to:
open file "7e640092_manila" with TotalCommander under /windows.
serach for code:
<trans-unit id="IDS_DATEFORMAT">
<source>dd.MM.yy</source>
</trans-unit>
and change to:
code:
<source>ddd, dd.MM.yy</source>
So you can add the day to the date.

I tried some different ROM´s in the Past and most of them use the 12h Clock Format but I prefer the 24h Format.
Is it possible to change this?

some things are too simple to find out yourself
Thank you
I tried the search option but couldn't find an answer.
I would like to change the sound of an incoming email, anyone any idea how to to that ?
*the answer is probably already been given, apologies if that is so.
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications > Event > Messaging: New e-mail message > tick play sound and choose one of the sounds in the drop down menu.
Wow, i must be blind not to find the option. Incredible, I was sure I looked everywhere.
My gratitude for your answer…
hum, thought it was going to be easy.
unfortunately it isn't, got several .wav / wma file's in de "rings' directory but the wav is not available in the pull down menu wen you go to Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications > Event > Messaging: New e-mail message >
any idea ?
Mine are sitting in My device/My documents and they are showing in the drop down box.
Hope that helps.
message tones
just copy and paste from pc and put them into my device/my documents but not in a folder and then go settings/sounds and notifications/notifications/drop down event/ select new text message and your tones will be in the menu

Anyone know how to change the default storage location of Music, Documents and so on through the registry?
Don't want to install Advanced Config..
Thanks
Try the Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3
Most of the stuff I wanted to relocate was configurable in that tool. A lot easier than ploughing around the registry yourself.

I want to change the date format at TFL Home page form mmm dd,yyyy to dd MMMM, yy dddd
Change the registry or manila? Thank you!
Use Advance Config. You can find the programm here in the forum. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070) Then click on Menu --> More Settings --> TouchFLO 3D.
There you can change the date format.
There's also a programm here in the forum with which you can display the weekday in TF3D. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398265) Hint No. 23
It doesn't work on my D2. Error message always appears.
I try the "Advance Config" and "TFL3D config" before, but they not work in Topaz (D2).
Advance config work with D2.
gives an error, but the format changes.

Hi friends,
i cannot find the option of 'Mark All' for the SMS? i have around 300 SMS in my xperia, and i want to select all or mark all so then i can deleted the several one together?
Anyone can help?
Regards
Jade
Menu -> Tools -> Clear "SMS/MMS"
You can also use this
1) Menu -> Select messages -> (All, All Below, Several)
2) Long press delete or just press the delete

will that delete all SMS including other folders? or only in the current folder?
i'm afraid to try..
Well thanks but,
1. The option Menu--->Clear "Text Messages" delete the sms one by one.
for 2nd post reply.
I cannot find that option in my xperia, I am using the latest version of the firmware.
I was looking for some thing as we have in nokia or other sony ericsson phone.
suppose i have 300 sms in my inbox, and i want to delete all of them except 10 or 12, so what i used to do, i used to 'Mark All' and then unmark the one which i dont want to be deleted, so once they unselected i can delete all the others.
This kind of option i cannot find in xperia.
Regards
Jade
