I recently paired up my Tilt with a Motorola H500 bluetooth ear piece. Everything works ok but I was wondering if there was a way to tell when it's connected. Shouldn't there be some type of Icon at the top? I can tell it's connected okay when I go to use it but there is no indication on the phone telling me when it's connected or disconnected for that matter.
When mines connected there is an icon in the top right on the dialer screen?
Thanks I got it. I was looking for it on the main screen.

Hi All,
I have lost a few cool points here for admitting this but I was actually reading my Tilt manual. I found there is supposed to be a BT Headset icon in the icon bar when a headset is active. Has anyone seen this? My headset is working great and so is my wife's on her Tilt but neither of us have seen this icon. The only time a headset icon appears on our phones is with the headset on of course in phone mode .....
hopefully there is a registry key that we can tweak?
I think the manual is wrong. I've been using PPC Phones since they came out and teh OS has always but the BT headset icon on the phone dialer, near the caller display picture. Now, WIndows Mobile Standard (non-touch screen devices) displays the icon on the top bar.
Hi Guys,
I have a tilt with the 10 button com manager installed.
SO I can connect my phone with my BT headset and it works fine. however when I turn my blue tooth off sometimes it turns off all connections to my cell phone. The phone is on, but it won't dial, connect to to exchange or anything else. It displays the no service logo. I have to power down and back up and today I did that and it still did not work. I went into the settings and somehow turned the phone feature back on. Why is it doing this.
I have a plantronics 510.
anyone else have this happen?
anyone pairing this with a kaiser... any tips would be welcome
mex-2500 - guess it's allmost the same
No problems here
Can't remember the excact way to do it but it's something with turning the radio off and holding down a button for a long long time until the BT icon flashes on the radio and KEEP pressing it for a while longer
been playing with it today... just need to hold 6 once their paired. what a great bit of kit. Love the mp3 streaming via bt
The streaming is not working for me after I switch the radio off and on again, only works the first time it's paired
I guess it's the MEX-BT2500's firmware or something
Yours have USB also right? I'd love to have that
Wireless Stereo
In "Comm Manager" go to "Settings" then to "Bluetooth" then press "XPLOD" and you will see two items: "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands Free". Switch off "Wireless Stereo" and save. Then open this page again and switch "Wireless Stereo" on.
Save it. On your car radio is the sign of "Wireless Stereo" again. I know, it´s crazy but it works.
wireless stereo
I checked setup yesterday: select "Wireless Stereo" on the radio then push
knob "6" (station channel) and your "Wireless Stereo" is "on" again.
Damn... Your right
Switching to "BT AUDIO" on the radio and pressing 6 ('pause' as it also says above it) switches it on again - Thanks a million mate
...any chance I can start playback using the buttons on the radio too?
just need to hold 6 once their paired once and will always be reconised again.
I have installed steering wheel controlls and this lets me controll playback on the phone (skiping tracks ect). Nice kit
holding button calls last number. Pressing quickly lets you use voice activation.
Has anyone got the voice activation to actually work on the Kaiser? I can't get it tow work.
I'm using Hyper Dragon III (Opal) which didn't have any voice software installed so I got MS Voice command on there.
The voice dialing doesn't work
I installed cyperion or whatever it's called aswell as the MS Voice command and that doesn't work either
Any help would be great!
Help with Sony MEX-BT3600U Bluetooth Calling
Please help me solve this issue with my Sony MEX-BT3600u. I recently installed the head unit, everything is connected and works fine, but every time I try to call someone i cannot hear the person but the they can hear me. Now I've connected 2 apms and a cross over unit. I've connected the head unit by RCA Cable to the Cross-Over and then the 2 Amps are connected by RCA Cables to the Cross-Over, but instead of connecting the speakers to the unit I connected them directly to the amps instead.
Do I have to connect the a pair of speakers to the head so that I can hear the person I called?
Please help..
Thanks
Anyone ordered from Clove?
The wireless speaker that came free was SRS BTV-5
I cannot connect to it with Xperia Z's NFC, it says "could not connect to SRS BTV-5"
I can only connect to it manually in Bluetooth......
that kinda defeat the entire purpose of NFC...is this a software problem? or is it hardware problem
+1

I can connect to it flawlessly with the Z or Nexus 4, did you put the switch on the bottom in the middle position to accept NFC pairing?

Yes, phone vibrates when i touch it with the speaker and displays "Connecting to SRS BTV5"
then 5 secs later it says "Could not connect to SRS BTV5"
through bluetooth I find ISSC SHS and connects to it perfectly but without NFC it kinda kills the product...
I also saw online a very few Bluetooth device issues from other products. I'm hoping this isn't a hardware fault...sending this speaker back to UK is gonna be painful (since US hasn't started selling these speakers yet)
I had that problem initially but it was because I had the switch on the speaker left at nfc off.
It needs to be in the middle, since then it's been working fine.
I noticed a reset hole on the bottom, could be worth trying?
I find it pretty good for its size.

Having the same problem - Xperia z, SRS BTV 5 and it can 'pair' but not 'connect'. Either via NFC or BlueTooth.
Switch is in middle, phone buzzes when NFC tap occurs, Bluetooth pairs, but doesn't 'connect'
Oddly phone worked find in store with larger Sony NFC speakers, eg the BTX 300.
Reset button hasn't helped.
OP - could you please display some good forum manners and update to let us know if you solved the problem (and how) or whether you returned the unit?
Hello!
I bought an SBH20, paired with my XZ via NFC, listened to music, then disconnected the headset, using the NFC.
After a while, i tred to connect again via NFC but all i get is a 'connecting' message, BT turning on -white BT icon- but no real connection, therefore the BT turns off.
After several tries it finally connects, but it's not reliable this way.
I noticed, if i enter to settings(not turning anytihng on/off) and trying to connect (still using NFC), everything works fine: connects, disconnects perfectly, and handles the BT as it should.
I've reseted the headset, tried single and multi point modes aswell. Deleted the BT devices, then repaired, still got the problem.
Am i doing sth wrong? I want to connect and disconnect the headset with a simple touch, and not toggling the BT manually (NFC yeah...) Is this something, SBH20 is not compatible with?
(btw sony support says: "For subsequent connections between devices that have already been paired once, make sure that Bluetooth™ is turned on so that the devices can connect automatically." If it's a "must" , then what is the [email protected] use of the NFC??? Just to pair once???)
Please share your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading ( and sorry for my english)
I actually have the same problem using the SBH50. For me sometimes it connects perfectly fine, other times it doesn't and I have to go into bluetooth settings after which it seems to connect properly.
I have noticed that it also depends on how I disconnect it; if I remember to touch the headset to disconnect then next time when I try to connect I have more chance of it being successful. Also, when I try to connect I hold the headset aganist the phone even after the ‘connecting’ popup until I get the 'connected' popup.
These are just work-arounds which aren’t always 100% successful though so would be good to find out what the proper method is.

It is a real shame... In my case it's the opposite, if i touch the headset to disconnect, the next nfc-connect tends to be less successful.
(and i noticed that it also matters if i turn off the headset after disconnected, or not)
And what is really odd, that i don't have to do anything in the settings menu ( or bluetooth settings) just open it, and everything works like a charm...( all connect or disconnect tries are succesfull, no exception, even if i push the headset repeatedly to the pohone's back)
I'm not affraid to mod some system files, apps, maybe build.prop tweaks, but i don't know where to start. In bulild.prop there are only a few nfc related lines (tried to enable/disble those)
So i'm not alone...maybe even more people are in the same boat, trying to solve this.
Again; any related info is welcome
I also have a sbh50 but i normally disconnect by turning off the headset. I have set it in smartconnect to turn off bluetooth automatically when the connection shuts off but it doesnt always do that.
It reconnects with no issues when bluetooth is on and i turn the headset on again. I use the nfc tap only for the initial pairing.
The only issues I have is the google music skipping issue that i posted the other day and the gmail smart connect not working on the sbh50

Well, then we don't have the same issue. I tought i could use the nfc for connect/disconnect (i actually still think it is capable of that, just sony messed up sth)
Could you try to connect/disconnect and connect again with your devices, please
I'm really curious about this whole nfc story ( why does the headset have the chip/tag if it only works for initial pairing -its not a big deal to pair manually, especially that it has to be done just once-, and on the other hand: if i put nfc in the device, why not put in this functoin too- not a big deal: a proper working BT toggle, but it brings a tad more functionality-
