Haven't run a windows mobile rom with Ftouchflo on for a while, but from what I remember it worked a hell of a lot better than the HTC Touchflo we've got on our current roms, which require you to drag a screwdriver across the screen to get a response.
Does anyone know how to remove HTC Touchflo fully to test Ftouchflo. I had it on loads of Hermes ROMs and i just had to lightly drag my finger on the screen for a very responsive scrolling action.

I don't mean to sound dumb, but I have the touch-it rom on my wing and im trying to figure out whats so different from my orinal tmobile rom as far as this touch flo thing goes... in my setings i keep seeing something about a cube and all but i dont see a cube... I go to programs and tap touchflo but nothing special or magical happens... I just need help... is this just a name or should my phone have things flowing on screen or what?
read the forum post for the touch-it series. it says you have to go into the settings under programs and select how to start the touchflo cube. after first installing it won't work until you do this.
^^^ I did but i still never see anything...
i went on you tube and i see what it is supposed to do do but my phone still isnt doing it...
After enabling the cube and setting 'View mode' to 'TF default v4.1', press whatever button activates TouchFlo and sweep your thumb from the bottom of the screen to the middle/side. The cube should appear. If not, press the TouchFlo button again and sweep from side to side and see if that works. Don't use your finger tip either. It may not recognize it. When the cube finally appears, sweeping from side to side will roll it. Use the sweep from the bottom of the screen to the middle/side to close the cube.
OK guys i got it working... this is pretty neat
Thanks for all the help^^^^
TouchFlo is one of those "ooo look at this" although it isn't very useful! haha.
i don't use the cube either, on the other hand i won't be able to go w/o the finger scrolling anymore...very useful
Oh yeah, True that. I love the finger scroll on the contact list.
Doe's any body know where I can download full version of TouchFlo and TouchCube for my Kaiser!!!
Google.com is your friend.
There are lots of versions of the cube out there so there isn't an easy answer.
I have been messing around with the cube tonight and i think the nicest "free" version that you can get going yourself is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336234
This is slither's flash based cube. You will need to install FtouchFLO and Flash Lite to get it working. If you read through that thread you should get enough info to get you going.
If you don't want to do the legwork you have a few options:
1) Download a ROM with a Cube cooked in
2) Download UltimateLauncher, a nice desktop shell that emulates a cube type effect (as well as other animation options)
3) Try and then buy either Touch Commander or Spb Mobile Shell. Both have "Cube-like" menus that you can use.
Thanks man!!!Serbia thanks you
HTC TouchFlo and Cube vs. scroll bar
I'm running one of the cooked ROMs with the cube and touchflo... I noticed that I have to add most programs as an exception in the touchflo configuration otherwise the cube will launch or the program will minimize if I move the scroll bar too quickly. Is there a way to adjust touchflo to only recognize slides that are done in the center of the screen? Otherwise I have to add every program with a scroll bar to the exception list because touchflo messes up the scrolling.
Does the stock HTC Touch have this problem?

I used to adjust the Timeout using Schaps TouchFlo Config tool, the lower you make this number the quicker you have to swipe to lauch the Cube.
So long as I scrolled at a sensible speed the cube would not launch.
But that's in the past, Cubes are pretty, but I never use them, other than to show off.
Thanks
Dave.
I wish I could just have the picture dialing instead of the hole cube. I guess a one sided cube. Doesnt really make sense does it.
One place to check
HTC Home comes with most ROMS now standard with a few exections but I cant exactly remember where found my Touchflow version but i included it below also check out this site because they have a great htc home screen customizer http://www.pocketemu.com/download.html I hope this helps.
I used to have the HTC Touch with the Blue Elves cooked rom which was fantastic, i have now bought a diamond and the touch flow 3d is crap (well i think it is) I'm currently using the Diamond surface rom.
Any way to all you excellent chefs out there is it possible to get rid of touch flow 3d which it is manilla and install touch flow cube but with the original clock from the diamond home screen.
I think using cube would free up memory and make it alot faster because on the touch i found it flawless and really fast?
Please post if you think this would be a good idea.
hello,
have you succeeded to install cube on the Diamond,
I was searching for the same solution, et I totally agree with you ;-)
Hi all, I think the same things with 6 month delay!
you can disable touchflo 3d in the settings > Today screen
Download a VGA HTC home screen (maybe like this one)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351553
as for the touch cube, i don't know if someone ported it to VGA but you can probably use Ftouchflo and configure a "Swipe up" to bring up an action screen or something
Is there a way to customize HTC Home? Like, can I change the look of it at all? Also, is there a way to make it finger scrollable, and also D-Pad scrollable? I know in some of the ROMs it's somewhat D-pad scrollable, but it seems to never work right.
I'd like to lower HTC Home to near the bottom of the screen (like Manilla) and make it more scrollable (like Manilla). I'd also like to customize the graphics, and possible add/remove icons.
Is there any way to do any of this? I know people are putting a ton of time into customizeng Manilla, but I would rather use HTC Home because of the whole landscape support thing.
Try Advance Config
Go here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470370
Scroll down to post #2 then download System Tools Cabs
It's a Zip file with all the system tools, and Advance Configuration is in there.
Once you install AC, run it, scroll to HTC home and unlock its position. This will enable it to scroll though, so if you have too many things on the home screen, the scroll bar will be on top of your htc home, make it looks ugly ~ but if you don't mind then try it out
finger scrollable?!!! You can use the Dpad, just press up or down untill one of the tap icon was selected, then press left or right to flip trough those taps... HTC Home is design to be light and fast ~ if you want all the complex M2D functions might as well just use M2D ~ sacrifice the buggy landscape mode.
-post removed- rant was here before(might come back) but im not sure what you mean. Do you mean by customizing HTC home changing the clock, tabs, etc.?
Well I was initially trying to make HTC Home look nicer- like M2D, and make it finger scrollable like M2D. I have since installed SPB Mobile Shell, and I no longer care about HTC Home.
I was just fed up with M2D and it's sluggish, buggy, no landscape, performance. M2D is nice to look at, and it is finger friendly as well. So I wanted to combine its looks, and its finger friendly operation, with the snappy performance and stability of HTC Home.
SPB Mobile Shell seems to do all of that, and plenty more...
well I found this http://www.touch-commander.com/

Looks retty nice. Similar to SPB Mobile Shell:

Looks to be a little cheaper than Mobile Shell.
In advanced config tool, HTC TouchFLO / Cube, I enabled it but nothing noticeable happened after the soft reset. Disabled HTC TouchFLO / Scrolling just to 'debug' but also nothing happens.
Is the Cube interface thingy in the default setup of D2, or it has to be loaded by the user?

The cube was the predecessor to the Touch Flo 3D. I think it was called Touch Flo. I am not sure but the interface I am talking about sucks.
And here is the cube:

when you activate it, scroll your finger from the very bottom of the screen all the way to the top...least that's how you bring up the cube with Touch Dual.

I don't mind if the cube is like this - just want to play with it and see if it is useful .

Didn't work for D2... wonder how ot activate it.
It is not included in the Topaz ;-)
As said previously, The Cube, aka TouchFlo (1) was replaced with TouchFLo 3D
You'd have to install a cab to enable it, But don't ask me where to find that *
Note that this will function as a new today screen, so instead of TouchFlo 3D
Hope this answers your question.
