I hope this thread is posted in the correct forum, but Voice Command is my issue and it seems to be dicussed more frequently here.
Can anyone explain the perferred version of Voice Command and configuration for L26's V9 Rom? I have spent a fair amount of time reseaching this topic in this forum (Bengahli's Thread is wonderful) and on the internet. My confusion is where do i locate MSVC version 1.6.17913? None are posted and i am concerned that a purchased version will not be the correct version.
Any thoughts?
Here's a thought... why don't use post this in that specific ROM thread?
I would use the version that comes with the V5 software. I had some issues with V9 so I fell back to that version. It should be the latest update that Voice Command has as long as you are talking about Microsoft Voice command.

Hey guys, I was looking for some sort of tutorial for something.
I was trying to find something that explains how to go from the a Branded AT&T Treo 750 with AT&T Windows Mobile 5 (version 1.13) to the Unbranded Windows Mobile 6.
Does anyone know how to do this or know somewhere which explains it?
It's my brothers phone, I have an AT&T Tilt, so I'm not too experienced with the Palm stuff.
He said that when he tried to run the exe file for an unbranded update it gave him some sort of error.
Anyway, how do I go about switching from Branded to Unbranded WM6?
And what features does which update have? Like which one is the best?
I appreciate any help guys.
Thanks.
Try searching a little before asking. There are thousands of posts to look through, the answer is probably already there..............
Why do you want an unbranded version? I recommend using the official ATT version and then customize the CapPackage.PXP to desired taste. At the end of the day the WM6 is WM6 is WM6 (per se).
And yes, you will need to do some digging - you'll learn much more about your device and how it works (the point of this forum). You'll note in your search that a lot of trial and error and collaboration goes into figuring things out. Once you have done your research, have attempted the upgrade and run into trouble or have a specific question (as opposed to a request for upgrade 101), we're here to help
Cheers!

I'm well aware of that, but the purpose of my post was to see if someone could point me in the right direction.
I've found multiple install files to download but haven't found instructions nor if they're the right install files.
Please keep in mind I've been looking for this for a few weeks now.
Anyway, anyone know anything about this?
Edit: Heh, I just posted right after you without seeing your post.
Anyway, my brother said he wanted the unbranded version for the tethering option or something. He said that the ATT version wasn't tethering properly.
I have the official ATT version with no problems via usb or bluetooth. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work go for the generic version (see sticky in this forum).
Check out this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361518
I answered this, it's the third post. This method will work with any Treo 750 (Cingular, AT&T, etc.). Since then I have upgraded to 2.27 and it is working fine.
Hi quys,
fitst i've got to say that i'm pretty new to this topic. So, please don't blame me for some noobish questions
I got my g1 one week ago and i'm already bored The main cause for this is the missing A2DP bluetooth profile. After studying this forum i figured out that i could add this profile to mit phone by updating it with a newer firmware.
Afterwards i tried to find out which firmware i should chose. Honestly, i'm desperate. There are so many different versions and i lost the overview.
The most important things for me are:
- a2dp profile, as already mentioned
- on screen keyboard
- very important: the german language (a qwerty keyboard would disturb me way to much).
Any tipps for me? i'd be so thankfull
btw: i have a goldcard image but don't want to install linux on my pc. Any alternatives?
Your best option would be to downgrade to whichever version gives you root. There is a thread about rooting any G1, even the German one somewhere on here. (I think you must have read it since you have the gold card).
Then, follow the instructions to get the latest Haykuro G version. The G versions have other languages.
While the Haykuro builds have the features you requested, they are unofficial community builds and thus not completely feature-tested. Just one look in the dev subforum and you'll see that the past few days Market has been inaccessible for Haykuro 5.0G build users. Bottom line is, if you're willing to wait about 2 more weeks, the official Android 1.5 builds should be out.
Guys, I know how to flash a radio. I know what a radio does. This was part of my other post and never answered
I see there are a lot of different versions of radios that can be flashed. What kind of impact can be seen if I flash a ROM and I'm using my stock ROM, yet the ROM I'm flashing recommends another radio?
What kind of impact will that have on the function of the ROM I'm flashing, if any? Could that be the cause for the delay in notifications, missed text messages, etc
Why post a new thread though ? Fine if you want to bump the other thread, but it just clutters up the forum to start a new thread on the same subject
Radio thread is sticked at the top of this forum if you're having trouble finding it...
Hello all...
can you guys help me...
Im using Milestone [GSM]
still with original FW, Eclair 2.1 Update 1
I wanna upgrade the FW into froyo [2.2]
the question is, HOW???
thx b4 all...
Why doesn't anyone use the search function/ Google to search such an old topic :/
For Rooting and flashing vulnerable recovery:
http://androidforums.com/milestone-all-things-root/75460-milestone-2-1-update-root-guide.html
Then you can use the OpenRecovery Mod (from G.O.T) to flash 2.2.1....
OK..
Done..
Thx
IMHO this would be a good thing to put in the XDA-Developers wiki, rather than forcing newbies to search through a lot of forum threads which causes confusion. I agree that everybody should be diligent in using the search box before asking questions, but it's still not ideal. Also, sometimes things change from time to time (e.g. GOT releasing updates) and then it's even more confusing to use the forum threads as references for "how to".
I would like to work on it but am busy with a lot of other stuff at the moment...next time I install a new ROM I will try to write a step-by-step wiki article (if anyone else thinks it's a good idea?) or at least put a link in the Milestone/Droid wiki page to the relevant forum threads.
Hello there!
I just created an account and would like to apologize in advance for any rookie mistakes; using the wrong terms/words and expressions, posting in the wrong place etc... I have seen a lot of very helpful threads but I have yet to find an answer to my issues with my phone.
I have an HTC One (I believe it is the M7) and the service provider is Verizon. The phone was rooted when I bought it and has
"NuSenseSIX-KitKat-m7vzw_RC4.2_032914"
I am having problems with using a bluetooth earpiece together with the phone. (You will get a ticket if driving and talking in the state of WA) and it drives me nuts! I have tried 3 different brands/kind of bluetooth devices as well as made sure that they work on other phones.
I am able to connect/pair the devices - no problem. I can listen to audio, both music/sounds on the phone as well as during calls or using Voxer Walkie-Talkie. There was never an issue on my end as far as hearing sound BUT, not once have I been able to be heard on "the other end". All they hear during a call is a "high-pitched crackling, static, robotic, very annoying" noise which makes the device useless for its purpose.
I have tried restarting, repairing and whatever other "simple" troubleshooting steps I could think of.
I did back the phone up and then did 2 or 3 factory resets, I have "un-rooted and re-rooted" the phone using SuperSU (which was already installed). I have tried to do the wipe/reset/recovery procedure a few different ways, one being a complete removal of Dalvik, cache, and whatever else shows up (sorta scary since I don't have very much experience)
Anyways, I am stuck and wonder if there is anyone out there who can possibly help me..? Is there a "fix" that I can install/apply or is there a better ROM I can use? I'm afraid to try "ROM or Kernel-swapping" on my own before I get some feedback on the procedure...
Sorry for the long post but I really need help....
Thanks - Bob the Swede

Hello Bob, welcome to xda!
Bluetooth call audio was fixed in version 6.01 of NewSenseSIX rom. Your actual version is RC 4.2 which mean "Release Candidate" version 4.2. RC versions are not fully stable, but stable enough for average users to test them. Latest stable version of NewSenseSIX for verizon htc one is 8.0. Updating your rom to latest version should fix your issue.
You might also want to update your firmware to the latest version for more stability. (will be mentioned in the rom thread if required)
You'll have to use twrp recovery version 2.7.0.8 or newer like said in the rom thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693502
keep in mind that Verizon variant of the M7 have different partition layout than the internation version(M7_UL), so only use stuff (rom/recovery/tools) that is compatible for Verizon M7 (M7VZW)

I am not confident enough to try this on my own and I don;t want to brick my phone.
Can anyone show me the necessary steps needed to do update from RC 4.2 to 8.0..? I have SuperSU v2.14, and TWRP 2.7.0.1.

The link posted by @alray above comes with the download and instructions for flashing TWRP. And the second link takes you directly to the rom.
The only way it could be easier is if he comes to your house and flashes it all for you
Hahaha, I'm sorry, that's embarrassing.

you will first need to upgrade your firmware like said in the rom thread. Click on the link in that thread "Latest Radios and Firmware are REQUIRED and can be found here"
follow instruction to flash the latest firmware in that thread
then flash twrp 2.8.0.1 (also linked in the rom thread just above "Latest Radios and Firmware..." link.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then push the rom to your phone (either using adb push/adb sideload/usb otg) and install it using twrp.
like cisa said above, if you follow the instructions in that thread andtake your time, everything will be good.
THANK YOU!!!
I did it! Thanks to you guys! alray and clsA
I am now on RC8.0 and it is AWESOME! BT works great along with all the extra stuff included.
