how to activate HSUPA? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hey guys,
I got to know that some ROMs have HSUPA support so there must be a way to activate this... how do I do this? Is it a registry tweak?
Thx.

I'm running the newest WWE ROM, but that page only shows the HSDPA option. Is it different on Elite ROM?

Dunno, i'm running TLR rom

I found it in the registy database, and was now given the option to enable it together with HSDPA.
Simply install a reg editor on your Diamond, search for HSUPA, change Value to 1, and you can now enable HSUPA on your Diamond.

WM6 and Comm Manager

Hi,
since I upgraded to WM6, the comm manager has less options than the previos one (WM5 2.26).
Is there any way to improve it again?
Thanks!
You will have to be clearer as I myself have exactly the same number of options for turning things on and off as before.

If you are refering to IR you need to turn it Off/On in Start -> Settings -> connections -> Beam

underclock a kaiser?

Hello all,
My company just "upgraded mwy wizard for a kaiser (tilt) anyways i used to use battery status to underclock my phone when not in use to extend the battery time......
i know it's a different processor but is there a program to do this yet?
You don't need to do that, Kaiser underclocks itself automatically when idle.
Also switch to GSM mode from 3G mode, it saves A LOT.
And what way do you turn off the 3G then?

Another way is to find Schap's comm manager, its allows you to quickly turn off 3G and on. I can't remember is Dutty's comm mananger had one, I believe so.
Turning off Beam, and Bluetooth OBEX (if you don't use it) saves battery life also.
Well since it's a company phone, get permission from your boss to see if you can change the rom. Cooked rom's battery life has a dramatic difference to a stock rom. Dutty's upcoming v4 rom is suppose to greatly improve battery life, and speed. I used Schap 4.31 the radio is my signature, battery last me pretty long. Introduce the rom flashing concept to your boss to see what he has to say.

I have the TILT, and I don't see the option to switch from 3G to GSM. Is schap's comm manager the only way I can do this? Is there an option in KaiserTweaks?

Yes, hey look into Schap's new Advance Config 2.0, it's has a Comm Manager tweak section, which allows you to add that option.
But you should really look into it, do a search, because I am not really sure if it works with your Comm Manager. And you should turn HSPDA off also, if you can't use it.

I downloaded this one.
http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/Kaiser Cab Collections/duttythroy 3g comm manager (working).cab
It's Dutty's. I installed it. Are there any other ones? This one works fine, but there are no pictures or anything, it's not very user friendly.

Well first off which rom are you running?
Here's a link for Comm Manager 2.0.0.0 which Schap's used in his rom:

ok, now I don't have a comm manager and I have all these problems now...
I had to download Kaiser Comm manager to fix my problem...
now i'm scared, can someone walk me through on how to back up my phone and it's settings?

Well, earlier I suggested that you read through the post, and do searches. Your installing cabs, before understanding them. That's why I ask first of what's your rom.
i'm just running a stock ROM on my tilt.
How do I back up my phone so if something happens I can revert back.
Well you can't actually revert back unless in might be in your add/remove programs or you hard reset.
Now under your band tab, you don't see:
Select Your Network Type:
Auto
>GSM
WCDMA
...at all?
It's a stock ROM...Play with all the cabs you want! You'll probably have to hard reset, but then you just have to start over again from the stock ROM. The only thing that sometimes can't be undone revolves around flashing/unlocking.
& if you use sprite backup, which came on the device, you can indeed "revert" back to where you were before some cab f'd you up.

Local Operator Settings

Hi,
I have just purchased the TYTN II, unlocked, and upon switching it on I am being asked to set the HSDPA Settings and other Mobile operator related Settings. I had an HP ipaq 6915 and these settings were automatically detected, apart from HSDPA. Is there a way I can update the country list on the Kaiser with preset settings?
Thanks is advance.
P.S country of Use is Malta, Europe.

Dont know if there are settings for Malta but connectionsetup.cab (dont know the exact name) is the app that is configurating these settings. U can search for it here http://www.4shared.com/dir/5551593/20b4549a/sharing.html
Hi,
thanks for the replpy. i tried the link you gave me but the software does not work...it showed me the same countries. Anyway I now updated to the official windows 6.1 in hope that tiny malta would be included in the seettings list but was not
I have a doc file with the settings required to setup MMS/gprs/3g/edge(apparentally same connection settings). anyone know someone I can give them to so that they are included on a cooked rom or settings application?
Regards
P.S The settings I have are for Go Mobile Malta only but I can easily get vodafone Malta Too.

I have one advise: if you find a rom where the connectionsetup has your settings, you need to backup privision.zip from windows folder, and when u flash the rom u want and the connectionsetup dont have your settings just copy the file to windows, softreset and it should work. The only problem is, u need to find a rom with your settings.(I checked mine, I too dont have settings for Malta)
There is also a second option maybe your operator can send you these settings via sms.

Disable HSDPA?

Hello There!
I've flashed my device with Alex 3.1.2 LITE rom, and I'm happy with it, but theres only one glich wich I should solve. There is no HSDPA icon on the Connections page. I mean I would like to disable the HSDPA and use it only on 3G because it saves some battery to me. On the other roms there was an icon on the connections page to disable it.
Q: Is there a registry entry for it, to manually disable the HSDPA?
P.S.: I've looked with TrinityHacks 0.3, and Schaps Advanced Config too but can't find it.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,

It's disabled in the latest WWE Rom.
You can enable it using Kaiser Tweak.
>Data (GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA/WIFI)
>Show Band Page
>Set to "Enabled"
thank u, gevans35, i was installed Kaiser Tweak and its work !!!
Kaiser Tweak doesn't work on samsung c6625.
Its WM 6.1 standard.
I would like to change the setting to umts too...
