Have you tried calling your carrier to see if they can replace your unit under warranty?
well i broke mine too but it as more htc's fault than mine as there are a couple threads on how the first gen kaiser mini usb ports were not made well and the usb plug is loose an can cause connection issues forcing you to wiggle and bend it inside the port thus breaking the plastic seperator between the pins and damaging pins..i called att warranty exchange and worked my way through techs and elevated support and just make it known to them (because they have no documentation on this issue and insist that they cant help you) and that you have many documents supporting your position and pictures and just dont let them win...demand support on this device and DONT let them tell you its physical damage and its out of warranty...let them know its the most high end device they have and how can they make something that that doesnt hold up to its standards blah blah blah...eventually after an hour you will get a replacement and they will note your account to avoid the $450 charge..here are some links to support your case if needed

first... great site. iv learned alot since finding it a week ago
question / idea...
iv seen the pin outs of the connector on the bottom
and i know theres keyboards out there
has anyone considered making a cable to connect a regular PS/2 keyboard to the phone ?
oviously it wouldnt be to practical to carry a full size keyboard with you, but it would be cool at home to enter in phone #s and such, and also theres the new rubber rollup keyboard out now (for some time now)... if u carry a laptop bag, u can throw that in to with u
i may attempt to see if it can be done myself, i have some electrical experience, but maybe someone might be able to find a solution faster / if theres a need
great site.

hello
I had a problem with my touch screen and after i get it to a serviceman my gps , wifi , bluetooth and phone mic were lost. so i search for a solution and i found this:
Hi. Have a look on ebay. I would recommend you buy a complete LCD and digitiser pre-assembled in one unit... These typically cost around £35 UK pounds when bought from sellers in Hong Kong. You will need a set of jewellers screw drivers (mini torx drivers), and a set of tweezers. Also, would recommend downloading a Service Manual for the Diamond if you have never taken one apart before (you can find this with Google). You need to be very careful though, because there are two small black coaxial cables inside the device that carry the GPS, bluetooth/wifi signals from the upper antenna board to the lower motherboard. These are very easily damaged and it is difficult to locate replacements. I've changed a few LCDs in the past and it is relatively easy if you are careful and methodic about taking the device apart. If you are unsure, I would recommend finding a third party replacement service on the internet to do it for you....

Hi,
I think there is some problem with the micro USB connector on my TP so I was looking for videos or tutorials which could help me replace it or repair it. I came across this tear down video http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/it...-like-a-pc-and-straightforward-to-repair/2707 which shows that there is space in the TP for a 3G module which was supposed to be present in the future 4G models. My question here is, can we buy a 3G module for the TP? If yes, how can we use it on AOKP (or any other Android ROM) or even WebOS? I also saw this item on ebay but i think its for a laptop more than the TP http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ericsson-F5...250903976024?pt=AU_Modems&hash=item3a6b0ad858. Please let me know if you guys know anything about it.
Also, is it possible to repair or replace the micro USB connector?? Please help me with that.
Thanks.
My understanding is that there are some additional hardware differences in the 4G TP which is why the few 4G TP's out there cannot take CM9 at the moment. Hence I don't think it will be as simple as sourcing and installing the radio module (otherwise I am sure it would have featured somewhere already).
Can't comment on the micro-USB; maybe someone else has poked around inside.
OK. Well, I didn't know that HP actually manufactured 4G TPs! As for the USB connector, I think there is something wrong with the cable as my TP is charging fine with my phone charger. Don't know whether I should be doing that or not though!
I regularly charge my TP with my HTC phone charger & lead and also a Blackberry Playbook charger - no issues in the 6 months I have been doing that.
Hey guys n gals. I'm looking to interface with the HP Touchpad's board directly through the JTAG pads. I've found them on there easily enough, and have a box to talk to it, etc. But I need to know which wire goes where!
Aside from multimeter magic, is there another way to determine the pinout? Is there a standard layout? Of all the devices I've seen pinouts of, it doesn't seem like there's a particular pattern or order in common at all, except sometimes devices made by the same manufacturer (example, some HTC phones).
Lemme know! If I get this answer, I can likely fix the |?| issue that some people have (if they can't send it in for warranty for whatever reason, example, from some other countries, or they voided it).
Hi guys, i bought this phone (used) and there was no issues, but in one day it stops searching wifi. It sometimes may do it, but most time it shows that there is no networks nearby.
I think i should replace wifi module, but found no information where is it on this phone. May somebody told me that?
Hello, I don't think you can change the wifi module : it most likely is a chip soldered on the mainboard, you might want to check the connection between the mainboard and the antenna ?

this might make sense, which antenna should I check?
I don't own the Xperia 10 but it can be either embedded on the chassis with little nipples pressed on contacts on the mainboard (or the over way around) or it could be "standard" U.FL connector. If your device has fallen many times they could be a little loose as these are quite flimsy
