How to bring back battery icon?? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I installed SPB Pocket plus on my Diamond, using the battery bar at the upper edge of the screen. Doing this, Pocket plus disabled the ogiginal battery icon, that normaly comes with the Duíamond today screen. Now I uninstalled Pocket plus, but the battery icon doesn't come back. Any idea, how to bring it back??
Found it: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
TBOpt=1

Tried a soft reset??..

Yes.
First: Edit Regestry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
TBOpt=1
Second: Softreset.

Missed the icon to rotate screen

Hi !
I've just done a soft-reset with my 2020i and now I don't see the icon for rotating screen (right bottom of the screen)
I don't know what to do then I ask you if is possible to restore this element without hard reset.
Thanks in advance
The rotate icon dissapears on mine often too, usually a soft reset fixes it but i dont use it too often because i find it to be buggy.
Try mapping a button to the rotate function.
The bubble problem is common too, sometimes it decides to stay at the top when it is suposed to disapear, ive even seen it display ?????????? when you click on it.
End of the day i think there just OS bugs, nothing much to cure it atm
Thanks guys for your replies.
So I have uninstalled IP Dashboard Monitor (the last software I have installed before getting the problem) and after a soft-rest my rotate screen icon was showed in the tray.
Now I know. If you install that software your icon will miss.
About the bubble, I also think it's probably a bug
Thank you again
I found that SPB Diary and All phone profile sofware (ie, Pocket Zen Phone,Phone Alarm and Pocket Profiles) Disable the Screen Rotation Icon.
Also Sometimes SPB Weather when installed to MMC or Storage, when installed to Phone memory works OK.
I had this problem, it's actually to do with the Today Screen items not initialising quick enough. Search this site for NoPluginsToday and follow the instructions, I don't have them to hand but I found the solution on here and now I have all my icons back in the task bar.
Daz
Lost Today item....Message !
can anyone export the today item's "message" !
don't know why suddenly the Message lost in the today plug-in !
anyone ?
One more time, I miss the icon again and this time the cause is TomTom Navigator 5.
Now I think this is a BIG bug of qtek 2020i, why I miss the icon ? :?
Is there a way to create a shortcut to screen rotation function ?
Thanks guys.

Thanks a lot swoopster for your quick and useful reply

time instead of battery icon in today titel menu ?

Hello ,
I am going away from SPB menu because it takes to much of my screen. But I would prefer to get time & date visible on the todo screen.
As I use a battery program I do not need the battery indicator in the menu bar .. and I tried to remove it with SK Tools tune up function (display time in menu in all program) , but this is not working in the todady screen.
Does anybody knows a trick to exchange the battery icon with a time & date in the today menu to optimize my space ?
Thanks

Multiple Battery Icons...

Ok, Ive looked around and havent seen any fixes or tips for this.. I have three battery icons on the top of my today screen (and yes I know about the KasierTweak setting but that doesnt fix it)... How can I get rid of the extra ones? Ive tried changing the registry for one but all that ended up doing was getting rid of one and moving all the other icons over.. however, the volume and phone icons ended up getting covered up... (see second screenshot)... Id like to stick with the battery icon on the far right, since it gives me a battery status when I click on it, not the battery settings...
looks like the one on the far left is the spb pocket plus one. Just go into the options for pocket plus and disable the checkbox for battery metrer... the other could be the system registry setting to display the battery instead of the clock (not simply the standard battery meter) you need to use advance config or kaiser tweek to disable this or just disply clock then turn off/on phone not soft reset (system sometimes does not keep the registry setting if you stylus reset).... see if this helps.
Please list all the Apps you have installed would be a good starting point. The above mentioned Spb Pocket Plus can be disabled as noted...
The SPB Pocket Plus was the 2nd from left icon... made that one a long slender one across the top...
KaiserTweak controls the one on the right (can make it a
battery or clock)... the registry edit (below) and power down/up instead of soft reset did the same thing as before... the other icons have been moved to the right but you cant see them... this only happens on the Today Screen, when I open an app, you can see the icons...
Nothing:
"ShowTitleBarClock"=1 / "TBOpt"=0
the far left icon came from QuickMenu...
here are other apps Im using:
whatever was included with Alex's ROM
TomTom
Google Search, Maps
SPB Full Keyboard, Diary, Weather, Backup, Insight, Phone Suite, Pocket Plus
HTC Customizer
HTC Cube

Getting rid of soft buttons bar but tray

Hi there,
I´m trying to hide the soft buttons bar. I already tried pmc today shrink and softbar remover, both found searching the forums.
Problem is, I still want to display the tray (in the place of the soft button bar - the goal is to increase today space without loosing the tray).
With pmc today shrink, the soft buttons bar is gone, but also the tray.
With softbar remover, the softbar is gone, but the tray remains in the same place (so today screen space is not bigger).
Does any1 have any idea about doing this ?
Thanks in advance.

well with pmc the buttons are still usable. you just have to hit the actual soft key buttons not the touch screen.
my 2centz.
Well... yes, I know
Thats exactly what I want: I want to get rid of the softbar, but be able to still use it by pressing the soft buttons (hence, why I think there is no need to have it on screen).
What I want is to hide the softbar, and still be able to see the system tray at the bottom of the screen...
The problem is that with both solutions I have found, I can´t do that: with the first, the softbar is gone but the tray remains at the same place, so I can´t make use of the extra pixels. And with the second, both the softbar and the tray are gone.
Thanks for trying to help
On WM6.0 I had very rarely problems with VJ Toggle Today II, it basically just hides the soft menu and everything else moves down, it looks great and the soft keys still work, PHM Task Launch works perfect, programs show up in the tray at the very bottom of the screen, the Today screen items can take up the extra space that has been made above it, etc..
The executable is: vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe and you just put it in Startup. I have to tweak the registry to get it just perfect, the following post documents it, has a link to it, etc..

It says WM5 only but it works fine for me on WM6.0 and WM6.1 Caveat with WM6.1; after reboot I have to slide the phone once for the task tray to show up at all. It's just empty down at the bottom otherwise. It happened every so often with WM6.0, but 100% of the time with WM6.1. But it's a fairly minor annoyance. I might see if there's some way to automate this with MortScript or something and put it at the end of the startup list.
Amazing!!
Reinstalled pmc todayshrink and as you mentioned, opening the keyboard made the tray reappear.
Thanks!! Now my today screen is looking the way I want.
You may also want to try dcinobar. It is a very small program that lowers the softkey bar but still allows the system tray to be seen.

D/L link in post #12.
EDIT: But you will have to slide the phone open and close it to make the tray go to the bottom as well...

New TouchDiamond 2 owner,some queries..Help Please

I purchased the phone today,It's just awesome. The screen is large,Resolution is perfect,Call quality is superb and I won't say anything about the design,so elegant and classy. But I found some issues which are bothering me. 1st-Is there any Bigger Qwerty virtual keyboard available for landscape mode? The in built one is good but hard to type fast,it's not worth that big screen size. I used a 5800XM previously and the qwerty landscape was very good,is there anything like that available for the TD2?
2nd-The last Win Mo device I used was a Xperia X1i,it also had 6.1.but in the Task Manager bar there were 3-4 icons like Battery , Volume , Network Strength Signal and Edge/GPRS etc. Now when I clicked on those icons they showed as they were clicked, like if I clicked the Battery icon then it showed the Battery level or for the volume icon it showed the Volume and there was an option to go to Communication Manager. But in TD2 any icon I click on the Task bar it shows only ONE thing that is- 'Notifications' and under that no 'New Notifications'. Why is that? I just want that OLD mode I had in the Xperia.
3rd- Is there any option to see the Battery percentage details? It only shows 4 bars.
1 - search for fingerkeyboard
2 - don't know
3 - download and install http://www.zimmi.cz/files/diamond2/sdkcerts.cab and http://www.zimmi.cz/files/diamond2/FInixNOverBattery.cab
2. Search for "Notification Manager". You have to deactivate HTC's notification manager.

1. There are many input methods out there. You can go on Youtube & watch for the demo see if that's what you're looking for: TouchPal, Spb keyboard, Resco keyboard pro, Fingerkeyboard, EzInput.
2. This fixes your problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515629&highlight=notification + Soft Reset.
Of course you need a Registry Editor to do this & I personally recommend Resco's.
3. See post #5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511560&highlight=battery+indicator
Thanks for mentioning those good keyboards. But where to find and download them? for free of course.
Just click on the start button either on the screen or in the bottom near to the call button you will see the next screen tap on the settings icon on the next screen in the bottom left corner tap all settings in the next screen you can see the battery icon when you tap the systems tab. Have an exploration on your phone and see the changes from the Old Diamond
