Qtek 9090 upgraded to WM5, ExtROM version 0.0!!

Hi all,
I'm a newbie in all those technical questions. Yet, I've read a lot of valuable things at this forum and decided to upgrade my Qtek 9090 using IvanV4R3_RAMDisk32_1.11.zip.
Before I had the following parameters:
ROM version: 1.22.00 WWE
ROM date: 10/22/04
Radio version: 1.06.00
Protocol version: 1337.38
ExtROM version: 1.22.123 WWE
Now it has changed into the following:
ROM version: 5.03.02 WWE
ROM date: 03/02/05
Radio version: 1.06.00
Protocol version: 1337.38
ExtROM version: 0.0
Well, the device is operating but something tells me there's something wrong here...
Please advice what I did wrong - shall I update the ExtROM separately or what?
P.S. Oops, I've read somewhere here that in WM5 there's no ExtROM - maybe that's why the version is 0.0. Yet, I leave the question just to make sure this is right.
P.P.S. Sorry if this topic has been discussed somewhere, the intformation is so vast, I couldn't find that...

Ext-Rom is usually network or distributor-based customisation, such as O2's O2 Connect and O2 Active, HP's PhotoSmart, etc. Now, since this is an informal effort, there is no ExtRom

I wonder if I ever need that ExtROM stuff then... Do you think it's useful and for what purposes?

Depends. Sometimes those "little extra tidbits" can help and be useful. Such as O2SMS Plus is sometimes useful, or O2 Active

Upgrade help for a newbie

Hi everyone,
This is a great forum. I'm new to a T-Mobile MDA(upgrade from iPaq 6315).
I would like to know what everyone recommends for upgrading. I continue to have T-Mobile service but I don't need to keep the T-Mo software. Here's what I currently have:
Rom version: 1.8.10.2 WWE
Rom date: 12/10/05
Radio version: 01.09.10
Protocol version: 4.0.03.20
ExtRom version: 1.8.10.104
Any guidance and recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

02 Mini S cannot upgrade to WM6 (Faria Crossbow)

Hello everybody,
I've tried to upgrade my O2 mini S from the official ROM of 02 for mini S. I used awizard program to unlock then I run the upgrade process of Faria Crossbow. When the process finished, the phone started cutomizing, but it said that the file autoconfig.exe is missed, then everything go back to the WM 5.
This is my ROM information:
ROM version: 2.21.4.1 WWE
ROM date: 3/9/06
Radio version: 02.07.10
Protocol version: 413.1.03
Please help me if you have any idea about this problem.

You aren't CID Unlocked. Use this procedure if you have a G3:

Follow all the steps and check your work as you go, and do everything (don't think you are done after you run Lokiwiz).

Hi everyone... i m completely new into this pocket pc flashin rom n stuff like that... i have an O2 mini s with WM5 and simply want to upgrade it to WM6.. i gone through many forums.. but cudnt find a wizard or steps to upgrade my phone... can anyone help me please

Well,you didn't search good in this forum,its full with all the info and guides for upgrading a wizard and rather all the PDA & Smartphone devices.Don't be a lame,read through the forum,especially wizard forum.

Need Help identifying IPL/SPL as numbers dont show during Boot sequence

I i have read a couple of the threads on upgrading etc and cant seem to find out what version i have G3 OR G4..here are the details of my phone that i do have if anyone can help
Herm300 Locked to T-mobile (UK)
Running Windows Mobile 5
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0)
ROM version: 1.21.110.3
Rom Date: 06/19/06
Radio Version: 1.05.05.00
Protocol Version: 32.36.7010.04H
Tried using the windows Service Tool to find out and no help there either..not sure what other info you guys need if someone could help thanks

Its not a wizard device,therefore,WST Tool will not work on it,I believe its a 'Hermes' device,check out this link for upgrading :-

hey guys, any help on debranding the htc?? not sure if the tutorials are right in front of my eyes so im not familiar with the terms (spl uspl etc.)
