I've tried searching but found nowt. is there a program that can switch touchflo 3d interface off and on with one touch? I know it can be done through today items but I'm looking for a one
tap method.
cheers, cojo
I have Touch-Flo 3D running inside Ilauncher with no major issues, I needed my PocketBreeze meaning more Today-plugins, this way it's possible...only one tap back and forth
thanks. I'm looking more for something that removes it from memory to free up resources.

Has anyone gotten 4 sides on the cube working with the wing? I've read something about it somewhere.
I managed to get a 4-sided cube working on my herald.
But it had been a little bit difficult actually. Needed a lot of software to install it.
what software did you need to get? and does it work with carlos's new touch settings?
Here is a link to the 4-sided cube. I don´t know if it is legal to post links to other sites in this forum, so Mods, if it ain´t right to post these links please delete ´em!

Hmmm, I always thought cubes had six sides.....
the current cube is more like a prism it only has 3 sides. i think that adding the HTC Action screen as the 4th "side" would be a great idea, and make the cube a true cube and more useful.
This is the right link. It is developed by xda-dev-user
SCLPF - it is a more comfortable modifying Cube clone...

I think instead of using the cube to launch programs the interface would make an awesome task manager. It would be great flipping through open apps or at least the most common ones like dialer, messaging, comm manager, media player, google maps etc...

Then how about just a Flip through task manager, only flipping through open apps?
Can this cube-extension be installed (and uninstalled) easily on a basic Herald (WM6)-device ?
The touch 3D works great for me, BUT it removes all my other today plugins, which I most definitely need.
Is there any way to combine the touch 3D, and still having access to the std today plugins?
Amir.
I have the same question- does anyone have any answers to this ? For example , I want to have the RSS feeds in my home screen along with TFLO3D ? is it possible?
use ultimate launch to place touchflo3d on first page and the other plugins on the next page. you can size one page to fit the whole screen so that you can switch between whole pages with your thumb or with a click, like you want
greets, pucki
ps: if you prefer freeware you can use battery status, it can include today plugins as well but you have to create a personal theme on a xml-base. i made it for nike and elf, it should work on diamond also. i'm going to use batterystatus too on the diamond, but we germans has to wait until t-mobile sells the device on july 14th. if you can wait so long i will give you my theme
Can't get ultimate launch to work. When I activate the first screen, my todayscreen stays blanc.
The Ultimate launch is than removed from the todayscreen.
Can you explain what I have to do to make my own xml file fot batterystatus?
Thanx

Guys try this program http://www.chi-tai.info/download/SecondToday.zip and do this:
Copy SecondToday.exe to your desired location, e.g. \Program Files\SecondTody\SecondToday.exe and start the application
and then just copy the program again to windows start menu, and then add it to program list in the htc touch flo. then when ever you want it just click it.
Until now this is the best way to fix it
I went to their site I didn't understand anything. What does SecondToday do? I can get something from its name, but how does it actually work?
Direct download is impossible: go here: http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm
basically what it does is that it is a program that opens the today screen without touch flo

Thank you for making that clear. Can you return to TouchFlo afterwards?
is it possible to run this second today - thing in autostart without interfering with touch3d?sometimes it does not open when i execute it...
i need to keep an eye on my calltimes and umts-data because both is limited due my contract and the only tool that handles both is (as far as i know) battery status...correct me if i'm wrong. gprs counter is bundled with my diamond but it isn't able to count call times...
edit: just tested it and second today always gets closed (or crashes) when touchflo3d is enabled...i can add plugins to 2nd today but when i switch back to touchflo3d second today not listed in taskmanager anymore after a couple of seconds.

I use a program called Ariel Battery and disabled the default battery icon. Put Ariel Battery in your startup folder, you can modify color schemes, it's small and even shows you the %.

You will find the answer in that thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401907
Hi guys.
Can i use the HTC Home software from HTC Touch in my Diamond?
I like so TF3D but the consumption of resources is too high and i want a faster PDA.
And some tabs from TF3D are useless, like music (coreplayer >>>>> all), favorites contacts (15 favs is not enough 4 me), the weather (yeah too cool but i know the time looking at the sky every day xD), etc...
Anyone knows if is that possbile?
Thnx in advance
it would have been done by now if it could be
so i guess not.
well, you can install the "tf3d config" app to remove the unnecessary tabs in the tf3d.
or you could disable the tf3d entirely and install the today screen from the original touch or kaiser (that won't bring you the 3d cube, however)...

i dont want to disable unnecesary tabs, i just want to remove entirely the tf3d, it's slow and useless
And HTC home, looks more simply, usefull and faster
EDIT: how can i remove entirely the TF3D??? Without flashing...

Simply by deselecting it in settings/today/items like any other today plugin.

There might be a way, if you find all the files and registry keys related to the application.
But in any case, it's not worth it to mess with files so integrated in the ROM itself. You'll be better off simply by deselecting it.
Regarding the space you can free by erasing this program, better to let the ROM cooks doing it before the ROM is built.
Ive Tried Various Software And Cant Figure It Out.
what exactly are you after? I'm a little confused.. do you have a screen shot to show what your after?
I Dont Have A Screen Shot. But Im Trying To Put The Home Tabs Like Manila 2d Or Spb Menu Or Diamond Like On The Bottom Of Mty Today Plugin

To do this you will require either htc home ,spb, manilla, or throttlelauncher. These applications actually replace your home screen to give you these tabs. There may be a shortcut menu application but any way you look at it, it isnt a native part of the OS.
FYI,
HTC Home, Manilla , Throttlelauncher are free apps you can find by using the search buttons
Thanks. I Know About All These Apps But Ive Seen Screen Shots And Plugins That Didnt Use These Apps.

Note.... a plugin is an application. Not a part of the actual rom. Again, you are looking for an application that will do this.
I hope this clears things up for you
Tabs like this ?

I Think It Has To Do Wth Editing The Home Settings Xml File
I keep going back and forth between the two on my Imagio, but I think once we get TF3D 2.5 I'll be able to stick with HTC's software. Question is: Will the Imagio handle it well?
BTW thanks for the resource here!
me too, I have been going back in forth between the current touchflo version on the Imagio and SPB Mobile Shell.
Has anyone come up with a tweak yet for touch flo 3d 2.5 for the Imagio.
SPB MS 3.5 for me
I have been playing with TouchFlo since the first version on the HTC Touch and it is just too much work. I downloaded MS3.5 and I couldn't be happier. It takes up fewer resources and the customization is as easy as dragging and dropping. I use the leisure theme with a five panel widget home screen. You can add picture frames as widgets among other cool items. The contact management is integrated with Facebook automatically and the smart dial is awesome. If I decide I want to do custom icons later, I can get as deep into the xml component as I want.

See, now, I get the whole "pretty" thing with this shell, but I found it to be just too confusing because it has a lot of redundancies. On the other hand, TouchFlo by HTC is really powerful, but it needs more "clues" to find all of its functionality. Idunno..I just wish we could get this thing hspl unlocked so that the gurus can start cooking up some new roms..
TF3D does not work for me. I need to quickly check email and delete tehm on the fly and access many parts of the phone. Why cant we load the new Sense UIon the Imagio. MS 3.5 is great but the contacts and dialer are badly broken. I cant search for contacts easily by typing parts of the name (only searches file as field) and from the dialer screen you cannot get into the details of a contact to E.G. select an alternate number to dial.
I have been trying both on my new imagio, and am currently sticking with SPBMS3.5. The main reason is that for some reason, the text messaging interface with TF3D messes up my ability to rotate to landscape when replying to a message. I am not sure why...
I have hard reset, and it works for a short period of time, because it seems to be using the standard Winmo texting interface. After receiving a message from a contact, the interface seems to switch to a custom TF3D version, and I can no longer use the landscape keyboard.
Plus I like that I can have virtually all the things I need on a sweetly configured main screen at one tap.
My two cents...
Gary
The folks over at PPCGeeks have unlocked the Imagio! And there are a number of ROMs already ready for flashing. As for TF3D and Mobile Shell, I have found no issues with TF, and with the new Cookies home tabs, its even easier for me. I tried that mobile shell, and there were too many reduntant applications, and by the time I got what I wanted set up, it was several pages between what I really needed and what I needed to go through. That, and after a couple days, my phone started to really get buggy. I finally gave up and went back to TF.
Now, that was before flashing to an Energy ROM. Things are much better now! Check out PPCGeeks HTC Imagio section, several ROMS there waiting for you!
You know I just saw those this weekend and they look very promising! Especially the MaxManilla on the horizon. I am not sure whether to go with Manilla or Cookies...Any thoughts?
As for the TF3D and texting, I did some googling and found the fix. Sorry, but I can't remember, but I think it was on PPCGeeks. Had to add some manilla reg values and change one other and voila! It works now. Still not sure if I like TF3D better than SPB, but I am giving it a shot. What I do like is that SPB can have multiple weather cities. I don't think that I like the 3D mail reader on either app.
Thanks again for the tips.
Gary
