Hi,
I have just received a replacement Tytn II which now has 6.1. I was hoping to look at the Microsoft Sliding Panel home screen, but cant seem to find it. Am I right in saying the Orange 6.1 ROM doesnt include this? The HTC Home plug is great, but would like to see Sliding Panel.
Sliding Panel is for Windows 6.1 Standard... Not Pro.
If you had a HTC S710/730, and slapped on a 6.1 rom.. or even a hurricane or tyhoon... you would have it.
All Touch screen did not have this,,,, nor will they.
Only Smartphones.
Hello
A lot of people asked for the WM6.1 Smartphone Sliding Panel on touchscreen devices with WM6.1 Pro.
I found this

which is a Sliding Panel look app.

Sliding panels is only for smartphones, NOT touch screens. Your HTC Kaiser is Windows Mobile Professional - it has a touch screen - therefore it does NOT support Sliding Panels.
There are other apps available - try searching for Ultimate Launcher.

I used to have the HTC Touch with the Blue Elves cooked rom which was fantastic, i have now bought a diamond and the touch flow 3d is crap (well i think it is) I'm currently using the Diamond surface rom.
Any way to all you excellent chefs out there is it possible to get rid of touch flow 3d which it is manilla and install touch flow cube but with the original clock from the diamond home screen.
I think using cube would free up memory and make it alot faster because on the touch i found it flawless and really fast?
Please post if you think this would be a good idea.
hello,
have you succeeded to install cube on the Diamond,
I was searching for the same solution, et I totally agree with you ;-)
Hi all, I think the same things with 6 month delay!
you can disable touchflo 3d in the settings > Today screen
Download a VGA HTC home screen (maybe like this one)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351553
as for the touch cube, i don't know if someone ported it to VGA but you can probably use Ftouchflo and configure a "Swipe up" to bring up an action screen or something
I just got around to flashing my AT&T Tilt to WM6.1. I was sort of looking forward to the home screen I've seen in on Microsoft's WM6.1 website. Instead, I have the HTC Home screen (which I've never been too fond of). Frankly, I'd rather have the defaults for WM6.1. Microsoft refers to it as the "sliding panel" home screen.
So I've been searching for how to get it, but my search hasn't yielded any results. Could some kind soul point me toward the information? I'm more than happy to invest the time to read how to do it, but I simply haven't been able to find the instructions.
Thanks!
Sliding Panel Homescreen
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the "sliding panel" homescreen is only on the windows mobile 6.1 Standard (no touchscreen) version. Windows mobile professional (touchscreen) does not have the "sliding panel" homescreen.
You're right. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/meet/version-compare.mspx
Sliding panel is non-touchscreen only. On the touchscreen version we have there's nothing more than the classic Today screen. HTC Home is the closest you get to that sliding panel.
Hrmmm, my memory could be wrong, but I seem to recall seeing video(s) on microsoft that the sliding panel was demo'd on a touchscreen as well.
That's pretty disappointing, though, that it's only for non-touchscreen. It's a pretty slick looking interface.
Hello,
I´m using Valkyrie V3.0 Firestorm with normal Touchflo (no Leo), but I recognize this problem on many other ROMs, so I decided to make an own thread:
activating another panel (for example mediapanel and start playing a title)
=>pressing the red key for locking the screen
=>unlocking the screen
=>the panel isn`t visibile (but still work in the background) and I see touchflo
=>activating the panelmanager, it slides out the panel (so that the panel should be visible)
Is there a solution for this? That I can activate all panels and they are still active, working and VISIBLE after keylocking?
Yes, it's an incompatibility between panels and tf3d. the best solution I have found is to use the excellent WkTask, which enables you to "minimize" manila and see whatever panel you have running behind.
I guess any task manager that allows you to switch to manila (most of them hide it) would do the same job, but I like WkTask

If using WinMo 6.5, read this:

ahh thank you very much!
i can`t use wktask because in wm6.5 23028 are the close buttons etc on the bottom left side and not on the top right side...but i will search another program
I've flashed my GSM Touch Pro to Captain's Special WM 6.5 ROM which I like very much but I really miss the phone keypad layout soft-keyboard that HTC provided with WM 6.1 (ABC on one key, DEF then next etc combined with T9)
The current WM 6.5 rom had the HTC Touch soft full keyboard but I find it hard to type accurately on especially on the move.
Is there anyway of enabling/installing the phone keypad layout?
Thanks!
