AudioBooster - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I don't know if some know but there are few options that you can modify in registry to enhance the sound. You can change value prim_treble, prim_bass...... they go from 0 to 4. You can even change the setting of equalizer and make them go till + or - 12 (and not only 6 as in audiobooster)
I have tried the old Audiobooster with this cab :http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58130&d=1195040550
All work! Means you don't have to modify registry you can modify through it. Only trouble is resolution. Not VGA
Could someone make it for VGA devices?

is this only for headphones or does it push the speaker from the phone to ?
thanks

headphone only to prevent speaker from damaging

MS Voice Command Volume

I have just started using ms voice comand, but the volume is very low
I have looked about and done a reg hack to change
HKEY Current User - Control panel - Sound Catagories - Voice Command -
Change:
Attenuation Catagory - Value 1
InitVol - Value 3
and also tried
HKEY Current User - Control panel - Sound Catagories - Voice Command -
Change:
Attenuation Catagory - Value 2
InitVol - Value 8
but neither of these make it any louder
anyone using voice command, that has been able to fix this on a diamond?
I am only using it on the speaker and not a bt headset
Also i noticed that the speach is not as clear as cyberon VC, as it is alot faster. But i prefer the features of MSVC with regards reading the email subjects and caller id
7. *Adjusting Volume of Announcements -* There are two values that seem to influence the volume of announcements. They are stored within the following key:
*HKCU\Control Panel\Sound Categories\Voice Command1*
The values are:
*AttenutationCategory*
*InitVol*
There are apparently different default setting based on your device. In general the values are generally around 1-4 for *AttenuationCategory* and 1-5 for *InitVol*. Some research shows that setting *InitVol* to 40 and *AttenuationCategory* to 1 provide the best results. In my testing I have found the *InitVol* to do nothing. The *AttenuationCategory* definitely does something, it seems the lower the number the lower the voice. When set it to 0 the announcements were very faint. Setting it higher made them higher, although I can't say that anything over 4 or 5 got any louder.
In my findings I would say set both of these to 5 (I have read some other posts that lead me to believe setting InitVol over 5 is pointless, in addition, the posts that recommend setting it to 40 don't specify if that is decimal or hex).
Got this out of the Kaiser Forum.
do i need to restart the device for these settings to become active?
What I do is shut the phone down...Power Button, and then take out the battery for a second or two, then I put the Battery back in and start it back up. Some reg settings you change revert back when you just soft reset.
I would love to make voicecommand louder BUT i can't. I changed the values but the volume is still down....
How do i do???
Someone???
I read in one post that if I remove S2A, the voicecommand will be louder...but i still don't know how to remove S2A....
HEEEEEELLLLP!!!
The loudest volume level on HTS HD2 i got with:
indows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InCallFeedback]
"AttenuationCategory"=dword:00000001
"InitVol"=dword:00000005
"DefaultSound"="\\Windows\\HTCTone\\Midi2Wave_079_4098.wav"
"Directory"="\\Windows\\"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce]
"Category"="InCallFeedback"
"Sound"="\\Application Data\\Volatile\\\\TTSCallerID.wav"
"Script"="p"
Not tested on BT headset yet.

Enable VGA recording on HTC Pure

In case you guys didnt know, the HTC Pure or Tilt2 cannot do VGA video rec. You can enable VGA video rec if you install a program called BSB tweaks (google it). Go into the program and turn on "Enable hidden rec format", BUT DO NOT TURN ON "Improve MPEG bitrate", if you do it'll mess up the video camera and you'll have to hardreset. After the soft reset you can remove BSB tweaks if you want.
After that go into the camera settings and change the recording format to 3GPP2. Then you can change the resolution to VGA. To test if it really works, record 10 sec of footage with MPEG CIF resolution, then record 10 sec of 3GPP2 VGA resolution and you'll find that the VGA video is the larger file. I know it isnt true VGA video recording but its better than CIF.
Some video rec tips: Reduce camera brightness and change metering mode to average to increase framerate, reduce contract to see darker areas better.
BsbTweaks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305
Well the problem with mine is that the captured video looks so bad with 3GPP2 VGA that I would rather stick with QVGA... Unless I am doing something wrong.
If it looks bad then you probably turned on "Improve MPEG bitrate" in BsbTweaks. Once you had done that, you cannot reverse the process by turning it back off. The 3GPP VGA video will look worse than QVGA. You will have to hardreset, install Bsbtweaks, and ONLY turn on option "Hidden Video Rec". After the softreset, test it out and you will see the improvement.
Actually you don't need to install or remove any programs, just set the following registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\P2:EncodeFormat
to
2147483647

Does it do more than 15fps with that method??
Because with my method Iam only getting 9-10 fps.
Nevermind, that Reg edit does the same thing.

[Q] Self changing volume, but why?

The volume decreasing itself from time to time, I don't know why. I fixed the volume at %100 in settings and also I use srs wowhd to get a louder voice. But sometimes it goes down and it really drives me crazy. How can I lock the volume at maximum? Could it be low battery resulted issue? By the way, I don't have any settings saved in memory card (xda uc or something else like that).
Can you tell me the values under:
HKCU\\ControlPanel\Notifications\ShellOverrides\

Sure, just like seen below.
First take a full backup. Then:
Change the values, which contains word "Volume", to 4294967295 (Dec). All others, set them to "0".

hello developers
im just trying to have transparent dialer skins on my phone...i have created the transparent buttons but its not showing up when placed...i have also tried to change the value of transparency in reg... all the places where there is phone option and the transparency value...maybe a combination of 15 to 25 values but nothing works...i have only seen this in android and windroid but coudint find any thing for wm...is it posible to have the dialer transparent...or im doing some thing wrong...or im in a wrong place...i guess dialer skins too comes under theams..this is what i get...does any one have a solution
thx anyway
anyone out there
is there any one out there to help me figure out it
i see what you are trying to do.....i dont think much help i can give~
but i think the only way u can manage to do is by doing the fake transparency effect..~
use the image that looks like transparent button for that background
n btw, pretty nice dialer...what is that dialer..?
looks like winmo stock dialer but got video call...O.O
yes i have the cab but
yes i have that fake dialer cab but dont want a fake one...i think it is possible but need some time...because while checking for how to enable by reg i found two more things...one is advance audio control from which u can enable 3D and bass tribles and extra bass on ur phone which is quite good compared to default settings for me.... i got a good sony inear walkman headphones which provide nice bass efect...by enabling the 3d effect i get a good efect now....other one is open/close animation which works for any thing from bootscreen to shutdown but its quite not like a 3d efect which animates like the screen is acqualy closing and opening in a zoom manner...thx for ur reply
Let us know of those extra sound settings and ways to enable them.
audiocontrols
use any regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER >controlpanel >audioadvcontrl
here u may find 3d,agcenable,bass,hpvol,receivervol,reclevel,supperbass,toneenable,treble...
3d,bass,supperbass,treble r set to 0 value by default....which ever u like to enable change the value to 1..softreset...i found that the audio is some what better for me..i dont know what is ur taste so dont blame me if it dosent work for u.......if u want to take a look at the open /close animation go to youtube type my channel name (mhkhan92)u will find a video named with open/close animation...if u want to enable it i have given the instructions in the description....

How To Guide [ROOT] Realme GT2 Audio recording quality mod (magisk module)

I've made a mod to improve the audio quality in videos recorded with the camera. For me, it sounds much better than stock. If you try it, let me know what you think.
Installing it requires root and magisk:
1. Download GT2RecQualityMod[version].zip on the phone,
2. Open magisk,
3. Go to modules,
4. Click "install from storage",
5. Choose the file,
6. Reboot,
7. Test with stock camera.
This is my first attempt and it's tested only on my Realme GT2 (RMX3311/GDPR), Android 13 firmware C.10 and C.12, and with just the apps I have on my phone. If some apps don't work or the audio sounds like without the mod, please let me know.
Latest versions:
----------- GT2RecQualityMod1.2.zip -----------
- Updated recording profiles used by the Recorder app with improved loudness and clarity
- The rest is the same as in v1.1
----------- GT2RecQualityMod1.1.zip -----------
- Based on lvimfs (audio parameters like NS, EQ, Compresor etc.), with manual tuning of parameters in /odm/etc/lvimfs_params/LVIMFS_Parameter_ID4_MIC_Cam.txt
- I've disabled some audio processors like EQ's, Compressor, Limiter - that are not configured correctly
- Activated Wind Noise Suppression - and it works amazing! Tested by blowing into the mic )
----------- GT2RecQualityMod1.zip -----------
- Based on raw mic quality, it disables lvimfs (audio parameters like NS, EQ, Compresor etc.)
To Do: get rid of white/static noise without losing volume
Thanks for sharing, it's only replacing mixer_paths.xml and audio_platform_info.xml, right?
And a question wizard:
Would it be possible to copy the parameters or files from a custom rom for GT2 e.g. PixelOS, if that has good audio recording, or would it f*k something rom/device specific up?
Here are backups from my GT2 - RMX3311_11.C.10_EU_202303171905 if anyone needs, in /system/vendor/etc
Stock Camera got louder, but introduced noise.
Your Gcam Mod sounds the best, it's a bit quieter but 0 noise.
To adjust the volumes (mic sensitivity) you can edit mixer_paths.xml from the zip file. Search "handset-stereo-dmic-switch" and modify the marked values from below. Reinstall the module and reboot.
or
The working xml files are in /odm/etc those from system/vendor are not used by android anymore. You can edit them directly, after installing the Magisk module.
If you like to try the xml files from a custom rom (GT2 specific) you can replace mixer_paths.xml and audio_platform_info.xml located in /data/adb/modules/GT2RecQualityMod/odm-files/ and restart. files from odm-files are linked (mirrored) with those from /odm/etc
<!-- Lucian: here is the configuration set for camera apps. -->
<path name="handset-stereo-dmic-switch">
<!-- Lucian: added some options to play with volumes -->
<ctl name="TX_DEC1 Volume" value="84" />
<ctl name="TX_DEC2 Volume" value="84" />
...
...
...
<!-- Lucian: this also affect the volumes -->
<ctl name="ADC1 Volume" value="18" />
<ctl name="ADC4 Volume" va lue="18" />
</path>
Will do, i have tried the PixelOS ones, to save some time - the result is pretty much the same, louder with introduction of noise.
/here:
Can you attach those from PixelOS? I'll like to take a look
New release: GT2RecQualityMod1.1.zip
based on tuning the parameters of
/odm/etc/lvimfs_params/LVIMFS_Parameter_ID4_MIC_Cam.txt
- added and configured wind noise suppression / canceling
There are a lot of options in there, but not documented anywhere. I think the files are generated by "Qualcomm audio calibration tool" that requires license...
Qualcomm did something amazing with lvimfs_params, that allows the developer to tune every aspect of audio recording but Realme developers didn't care to do something good with this technology
If someone would like to contribute to the improvement of the audio quality, please give it a try! If we could remove the static noise it will be awesome, I think modifying the EQ to lower the static noise frequencies will help.
Regarding lvimfs_params, what I've learned so far:
lines containing "Operating Mode"
enables/disables that feature, like
0 // LVAC_LVAC_InputEq_OperatingMode disables the input equalizer, 1 enables it;
the following lines containing _InputEq_ are parameters like gain, band, frequency etc. that changes the aspects of recording.
There is no documentation, is just trials.
For changes to apply a reboot is required, maybe restarting service will be faster, but I don't know which one...
Have fun!
Have a much better sound obviously! I see one user did bitrate up mod, could you merge your mode plus 320kbps modification. Thank you!
Link
It is on my list, it won't improve much of the quality still. Now I'm more preoccupied on reducing the static noise. It will be included in the next release.
New release:
GT2RecQualityMod1.2.zip
- Updated recording profiles used by the Recorder app with improved loudness and clarity
- The rest is the same as in v1.1
Could not find a way to change the audio bitrate, if someone knows what file is responsible please help, I've tested all media_profiles(_V1_0).xml that I've found and none of them worked...
I played around with trying to get the Bitrate up but just managed to destroy Video Recording, so just as a pointer in my case only changing the Bitrates in the various recording <EncoderProfiles> in "media_profiles.xml" did not work.
I want to report some strange behavior. I face the problem with this mod on some applications. First, I'm on RUI C12 EU, with stock camera, I recorded three videos in a row and all of them have broken audio, the issue is feel like microphone have gain boost +30db sound was capped and distorted. The second app is element(chat/voice) when i try to record voice face again same problem. I will attach some samples to understand better.
When I disable the mod the issue still presents, only when remove the mod audio is stock/"fine".
@b0nb0n3v Something is wrong, but I don't know what... Do you have other magisk modules installed that could change mixer_paths.xml or lvimfs_params? Maybe they are conflicting.
I've attached a sample of how it sounds on my device. Stock camera, mod v1.2:

I have andreno gpu drivers and systemless host in the past i tried mixer_paths.xml for 320kbps mod but with no difference I decide to remove it. Could this mod couse this bug, it's removed long time ago? The problem is always when the sound/speech is lound on quiet place or low sound recording is fine. Tia

Test if my mixer_paths backup a in the top of the thread makes a difference, if you don't have one yourself. Maybe the change stayed?
