In order to fix my comm manager's WiFi button, i need the Adapter name of the Herald.
For the Hermes and stuff it's:
Adapter Name ...... : TNETW12511
TNETW12511
Now i need the name of the Herald's Wireless adapter. You can make this show by using Network Analyser by Microsoft, but it doesnt run on wm6. Please help me figure out the wireless adapter name/code.
Sorry for opening this topic, but i found the name in my own registry. It is TNETWLN1
Bio where you ever able to get Wifi working on your wing with the 10button commanager?
I seem to be having the same problem you did, tried the registry entry with TNETWLN1. (I have tried 4 different registry editors and none will import that reg file right so I tried creating it manually. (Wlan didn't even exist so that needed to be created also)
MrHack
I was able by changing the reg key to TNETWLAN1

Could you please show me how to do with the registry, in order to find my wifi adapter name?
I tried to search everywhere in HKLM\Software but nothing
I bought the HTC 5388++ at CNDigit.com, but they don't give me any user manual nor support! I don't recommend anyone to buy at CNDigit.com, they are too BAD, no post address !
I'm trying to find the browser.dll file on my TyTn II but I can't seem to find it either using the "Explore" feature via ActiveSync or on the File Explorer on the device itself. I've looked in the Windows directory and made sure to check the option "Show All Files".
Does anyone know where the file is located and how I can access it?
Basically I'm trying to hack the UserAgent string so that I can get Vodafone Live (UK) working and I've seen other people have posted hacked browser.dll files, although for different devices (Hermes, Trinity, etc.)
Can I just use someone else's hacked browser.dll file, or does it need to be specifically for the Kaiser?
Cheers,

I'm done searching. Anyone know of a freeware hex editor? All my searches on google led me to freeware ones for mac and pc and $29.99 one for ppc. I know there's freeware one's available because when i search xda i get a bunch of threads saying "use your freeware ppc hex editor" and edit the rom. So i know they exist, i just can't seem to find any. Anyone know where I can d/l one @ or if anyone can drop me a cab i'll be most appreciative. Thanks for your time..

I am new to this community and just got my first WM phone a couple of days a go, TOPAZ..
How do I use regedit to alternate like shown above???
You can try PHM regedit. It's same like desktop pc regedit.
you can also try the "pocket version" of TotalCommander, there a biult-in Plugin for the registry
Problemo
Hey
Couldn't get it to work, and couldn't actually find the exact HKEY either from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Rin gDirectory = Storage Card\music.
For me it was identical up till \SoundCategories, but no RingDirectory key. It looked something like HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory
Modifying the Ring\Directory into "Storage Card\music" didn't help either, any ideas what could be the problem?
Also cannot get this to work. Have changed the setting from original \windows\ to Storage Card\music. Can anyone advise on the exact think to type in the space. Even tried adding the \ in front but same results
I tried it as well and didn't work. The strange thing is that I also used SKTools and found this as a configurable setting and it did nothing as well, seems that it was changing the same registry value.
So been playing lots with registry editor. Found how to change my default home page in IE and while there...
If you go to:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Settings.
What is in there are all options available in settings tab of the phone.
With no surprise there is more entries there then what we can see. Some are empty some are half filled in.
For example
{90A593C1-F945-4bf7-AB56-A999E425F16F} - It's title Search
In side there is Location and we get
app://{5B04B775-356B-4AA0-AAF8-6491FFEA5664/SearchSettings
and
{A7DD1D7D-C7CA-4566-A5E7-015C7940276E] - Internet Explorer
In side there is Location and we get
app://{5B04B775-356B-4AA0-AAF8-6491FFEA5663/_default
Can any help and explain what is this location:
app://{5B04B775-356B-4AA0-AAF8-6491FFEA5663/_default
Bold part is the only part that differs from each setting but from name it seems like a coded path to where some setting files are located.
Is there a way of decoding where said app is and accessing it?
Any one that knows more then me could have a look in to if it is possible to enable some other settings?
Can u advise where u got the reg efitor from?
