Calendar Organizer - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

Hello,
What are the best options for an agenda appointments organizer? I am using windows mobile calendar and like having my appointments on the main screen, but maybe there are better options for that. My main complains are the screen space is not well used by Calendar and sometimes only one appointment is shown if another is just coincident.
Thanks.
Roberto.

Calendar On Home Screen

Is there a way to have more than 1 calendar event show up on the home screen like there was for the Touch Cruise?
thanks for your help!
Maybe the same as SPB Diary so like 31 days???
I've been looking for a way to show more calendar entries on the home screen too. Haven't found anything in any of the options or settings. Maybe in the registry?
Dunno either but will be watchingthis thread with anticipation !
1. Is there a much better calendar that can be installed and totally take over the existing calendar (even show events on the home screen)
If not, anyone know how to stop the calendar going straight into Agenda view when u hit calendar on the home screen. Ive set it so it shows in Month view as default. But this only works if you run calendar in Programs. If you run calendar via the home screen - it still takes you to agenda view. Even if I have an event there I still prefer to go to Month view
the calendar ONLY shows today's appointments.

Not even that. Sometimes it only shows the next appointment, sometimes it shows two. I haven't figured out what the second appointment has to be in order for it to be shown. Maybe only "busy" status? It's weird. I wish it could show upcoming appointments like the regular Calendar today item.
In the manual it says that it will only show 1 all day appointment and up to 2 timed appointments. I've found the first timed appointment always shows, but sometimes getting the second to show up is a problem. Don't know if it's status or time.
Sure there is, have a look at the freeware TodayAgenda
With the main clock minimized, the TouchFLO should show up to 4 events.
Hopefully this will work in the next version.
I'm looking for the same. (Thanks search function!)
I agree it shows only one full day appt and one timed in my case. I didn't find any tweak.
Hi,
TF3D shows 1 all day appointment and 1 or 2 appointments. It shows 2 appointments only if the first is already started. So the actuel started and the next to come.

This app only changes the default links that TF3d connects to - not the look of touch flow. I.E. if you install Pocket Informant (which is excellent by the way) it will now link to that rather than the default WinMo calendar.
One compromise to improve quick viewing of calendar, tasks etc is to install Second Today and then a today plugin such as Pocket Breeze.
Hi I am actually wondering if Calendar is able to show the next upcoming appointments that is due in a few days time. My appointments will only show if the appointment's timing is on the following day.
this seems to be one of the most complained about short comings of tf3d. thought HTC would have addressed the issue already.
think I must have spent my first day owning a diamond crawlingthrough the registry looking for a value to increase the may appointments.
sighz. So no tweaks to display the upcoming appointments eh?
anything new on this topic?

By using SecondToday, is works perfect. You just need to tap & go instantly. Mentioned by earlier post by "ericsson68". Maybe more convincing by looking at the following screenshots. Click on the lower left will bring you to Second Today screen. Click OK return to 3D TouchFlo screen. Isn't that amazing . . .

Background calendar

I have tried the "background calendar" app from the Market, but it isn't good as I think; first, the notes will interfere with the clock widget, second it take the data from my remote gmail account instead from local calendar (so if I cannot connect, it will not work or I cannot update it) and third (but this maybe a my inability) the background of the application isn't the one what I chose... So I ask: there is a calendar application that works like the symbian or WM one and display the appointment and the other reminder notes correctly in the background without interfere with the other object on the home screen?
Thank you for any answer

You will see this once they release the SDK for Widgets

[Q] Multiple Calendars

Does anyone know of an app that will allow multiple widget instances or a widget view that isnt every calendar I sync with. I am looking for something that will allow me to view my personal calendar on one screen and other calendars I subscribe to in another. Month view is perferred if possible. Thanks in advance for any info.
Android Agenda Widget might be worth looking into. I don't have multiple calendars so I can't test it out but under the settings there is an option that says"Widget calendars independence - Have separate calendars for each widget"
Not sure if month view is possible.
Definitely going to second Android Agenda Widget. Takes a bit of time to setup, but you can customize it quite a bit and get it to look just the way you want. I currently have three of the widgets setup because I use several calendars and it works great. I'm also not sure about the monthly view, I know you can set how far ahead it "looks" and do a few other things to that extent, though I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for. Either way, definitely give it a shot, it's a great app!
Pure Calendar also allows you to select which calendars it displays
I use Android Agenda Widget, but I can't get any of my calendars besides (my email) and U.S. Holidays to show up. When I go to Google Calendar (the site, not the app), I have a Birthdays/Anniversaries calendar, in addition to a few sports calendar. How do I get those to show up as well?
Thx 4 all the input but the list view of all events is not quite what I was looking 4... visual week or month... something like what u might find n a paper planner is closer 2 the overall goal... did try it and I must say Android Agenda Widget was the best of its kind I saw... and 2 linkraceist

Better calendar app?

I'm not satisfied with the calendar in Galaxy S (is it Samsung's own or Android stock?). Often I need to login into Google Calendar on the web to be able to customize my appointments as I want.
This I miss:
1. Be able to choose what calendar which is the default one. Now "My calendar" is the default, I want one of my two Google calendars to be default.
2. I want to be able to specify "repeat rules" (not sure what the english term is) better. It's not possible to make an appointment appear every second monday for instance. But it's possible to do through Google calendar on the web.
3. Specify notification tone.
And I want to keep everything that does work, like multiple calendars and syncing to my Google account etc.
Hi. I use jorte, free in the market.
Give it a try

Jorte is the best, which is not to say it's great.
It also has the best widgets.
Others don't come anywhere close as calendars, although they might have nicer looking skins.
Jorte is very good. But for the widgets i like more agenda widgets. Looks much nicer and has better options.
Gemini Calendar is a nice and free (available in the market) app and has useful widgets, although I've not tried any others bar the original SGS app
Non of them are really good. They do have the functions I'm missing in the original calendar app, but the GUIs are just horrible.
Is it possible to switch the Samsung Calendar to original Android calendar? Or maybe HTC Calendar?

you can switch to stock calendar here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735035
note: you will have a big "plus" sign on the top of your screen which i find pretty annoying. i just switched to jorte based on opinions here but honestly i use agenda widget most of the time. it's great and scrollable with launcherpro and syncs to RTM tasks as well. love it.

Contacts birthday calendar -> 3rd party agenda-type widgets

I've a strange problem here.
I've always used "Neat Calendar" widget for an agenda on my main screen. I've been using this this since my Galaxy S2 days!
However, on the Pixel 5, it does not show my contacts birthday calendar. I've tried unsetting and resetting the calendars to display etc. no joy. All other calendars show/hide as expected.
I then installed "Event Flow Calendar" widget, and this has exactly the same problem. Will not display my contact's birthdays.
The Google widget works ok however.
I looked back on my previous phone (Huawei Mate P20), and the birthdays still show just fine on both of these widgets.
I thought it may be a pixel launcher issue, so I tried it using Nova launcher, and still no joy.
I'm thinking this may be an android 11 problem for these apps.
Its a shame if it is, as I dont think Neat Calendar is developed any more.
Problem still occurs after a factory reset.
Just wondering if anyone else having a similar issue with these (or indeed other) 3rd party calendar agenda types of widget for contact's birthdays.
Cheers
