"esc" key

Does anyone know how to emulate the "esc" key on a wizard?
I have a DOS based legacy app at work, and while I have been able to get logmein to work fine on my 8125 to control everything else I need to be able to use this one program and I cannot unless I can use "esc" to go backwards. Any ideas?

maybe u can assign a hard button to the esc with this one?

Under settings go to the "Code" tab, allows you to set IN code whatever you want and set OUT code to be ESC.
I'm a big fan of this FREEWARE! Also allows setting a key for CTL and/or ALT, better caps/num lock indicator (off, on, lock), not to mention key launch of apps, settings, phone numbers, task bar, symbol window ...
NOTE: be sure to install the Wizard-specific version! Read the install directions!

if you're using pocket quake, just use "recorder" key (press it long)

Wow! Thanks for the tip. that is a great program. I just started playing with it but it seems that it could replace Smartskey. Of course, even though there is a GUI the documentation is a little sketchy so it took me a little trial and error but I got it to do what I needed...
I would highly recommend this to anyone that likes customizing their phone.
I have two questions that I could not seem to resolve on their web site
1. Where do you find the .bmp files it looks for to use as an icon? I am getting a white square which works okay since I will only use it now and again.
2. In the program they reference a CTRL and ALT keys that I am pretty sure are hard keys on the keyboard since you can assign them but I am not sure which actual keys they are. Any ideas?

Remove Dial lookup Plugin?

Under the Today Screen Settings, I can uncheck every plugin there, but why can't I remove the dial lookup plugin? Is there a way, or program, to remove this plugin?

From the today screen, hit the menu soft key in the bottom right.
Then go to Preferences.
Then check "Hide Lookup Field"

If I remove the dial pad plugin, I can't lock the device by pressing the "End Call" button or dial #s without going into the dial pad app. I have the AT&T WM6 and ExtendedRom.
Anybody else having the same problem?

I'm assuming you're removing it via the registry so that the item doesn't load. That will cause problems because it also provides functionality to some of the hardware buttons, as you've discovered. The best you can do is hide the lookup field (Menu-->Preferences-->Hide Lookup Field), or...not too long ago someone created an app (it might have been a mortscript script) that will forcefully hid the entire carrier/dial lookup item, without actually unloading it. Search the 750 forum.

No option to hide lookup field in WM6 leaked version AT&T???? Or am I missing something???

Device Lock file?

Hi folks,
Just wondering if one of the experts can tell me, in the Kaiser rom, what is the actual file that gets executed when you tap on the little padlock on the Today screen, which in turn locks the phone? Not sure if it's even an executable or not, but I'm trying to link an icon to the function in a new skin.

The following command line parameters exist for the backend of Automatic Keylock, Keylock.exe:
/off
This command line switch shuts down Automatic Keylock completely without altering the settings. To enable it again, call Keylock.exe without parameters.
/toggle
This parameter toggles Automatic Keylock between on and off state.
/reload
If Keylock.exe is called with this parameter, the settings are reloaded from registry.

Problem selecting text

I noticed a strange problem.
Inside text editing application that do not warp lines (Orneta Notepad Mobile and any other notepad style application I tried) text selection (with stylus tap and drag) only works when lines a short and orizontal scroll bar is missing or disabled. When lines are longer and orizontal scroll bar appears text selection is no more possible.
Does anyother noticed this problem?
Any solution?

Selecting text works not so fine anymore.
When I hold the syles on the screen sometimes it works, but not oke.
Or when I hit with the styles on a word he selected that word.
With me other WM phones (HTC to) it was possible selecting, copy, paste in most places. It was very simple te select a pease of tekst.
Does HTC running a app that has a conflict with the WM selecting option?
I have searching registry if there is maybe a key to change.
I don't like the slecting way on the Diamond2.
I hope someone find out what the problem can be.

I found a partial solution: there is a way to make a list of applications that should be ignored by TouchFlo. Inside these applications scroll by tap and drag stop working but text selection does work.
Find the registry key HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\TFLOIgnoreAPPs
For any application that you want TouchFlo ignore create a string value and assign to it the name of the application .exe file (important: the value seems to be case sensitive)
For example in my case for Orneta Notepad Mobile
HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\TFLOIgnoreAPPs\IgnoreAppNP = "NOTEPAD.exe"

I have now add strings with poutlook.exe, PIMConnectivity.exe, Notepad.exe and Explorer.exe (resco) .
In those apps it works now fine.

Switch profile when keyboard is on screen

Not every text field is consider an input field in android. I only found a doable way for input fields thought.
Can someone help me to make tasker switch to another profile always when the keyboard is on screen? In my case it's a profile that disables immersive mode and adds cursors to the navigation bar.

There is a discussion on the challenges presented in monitoring the soft keyboard on the Tasker helprace: Add Keyboard "Is shown" and "Close" Actions page. That discussion includes a Java function that can detect the soft keyboard state, but monitoring that can be resource intensive.
