Certainly not for simple "thank you".
Volunteers (or people who know those who can do so) write here above proposals.
Those who simply ready to make a contribution. Write to who and how many can send to the overall bank.
Most likely there will soon account for the transfer of funds.
Meanwhile, only reflections.

4pda.ru forum is written in Russian, and to say you true, я говорю на русском языке очень плохо!
So, many people around here will not understand requests, and will have problems communicating.
Hi Guys,
It is very unclear what you are asking money for, we would appreciate it if you tried to explain better what this is for, the other sites are in russian and at first glance do not seem to explain much. Please provide an english explanation about what you need the money for. Feel free to use google language tools for translation.

Hi All,
Basically, we at 4PDA.ru are sick and tired of current situation with O2 Xda Flame support and crappy performance of both existing official WM5 ROM and unofficial cooked ROMs made by several enthusiasts. We decided to hire a professional ROM chef in order to cook WM 6.1 Flame ROM which will solve all current issues - Sleeping Beauty, GPRS, Bluetooth, videocalls etc. For that we have found a money fund, where we accumulate reward money to thу above mentioned chef. Action5 is the fund holder with the support of 4PDA administration. Currently we have accumulated around $300 within a few days, which is surely not enough. The guy we hired is very well-known for his work at 4PDA, he actually cooked quite a few ROMs and made a lot of software with hardcoding, including hardware drivers for several PPCs.
The support of Flame owners is highly appreciated but I understand the whole thing may sound crazy and too risky. On the other hand, we, O2 Flame owners are really desperate to make the full use of such good piece of hardware.
For those who do not know:
After a very long wait and numerous unexplained half rom working, we decided to find a "developer", which will be ready for money to help us and we'll find some. July 18, "Flame" was sent to the developer.
Now we have PayPal: [email protected]
After payment required me to write the amount and date.
The idea is this: people there established a money fund to attract a skilled developer who will be able to create a stable wm 6.1 rom for flame with following requirements, quoting 4pda.ru:
1. WM6.1 (without 3rd party software) -- there are several opinions, some people want wwe some russian build.
2. No Sleeping Beauty.
3. Support for built-in VoIP sip function.
4. Support for MicroSD SDHC (FAT16, FAT32) alongside with Wi-fi
5. Correct and stable UMTS (3G WCDMA FDD I) and GSM (tri-band 900/1800/1900) connections;
6. Robust and stable Bluetooth hands-free feature, like any dumb cell phone
7. Ability to use wired headset button to switch FM radio stations and music player tracks
8. No GPRS disconnects
9. Phone dialer with latin and cyrillic contact search support
10. Add VIDEOCALL button to standard WM6 dialer -- this is one of the few options not guaranteed by current developer. He said he'll try.
11. Correct use of the default XP-08 1620mA battery
12. Support for large capacity batteries in OS drivers
13. Change USSD popup to standard WM
14. Applications built in ROM: standard Flame O2 apps + newer Pocket Office
15. Lower the power consumption by any means available.
16. Support for A2DP Bluetooth feature in FM radio application -- also not guaranteed, that's just a wish.
17. Find out how to update RF module.
Funds are piling up, current amount is 12257 Rub + 50$ = 580$
If somebody want to make a donation, contact to me. Or...just do it.
Any explain?

But not all money now transferred to our Developer.
should i close the thread?, i did change the title by adding a [developer found] tag, if thats ok
I still have no idea what's going on. Are you looking for a cook to make ROMs for the device? If the request is over and you guys have found what you wanted, please let us know to close the thread.
Someone has been digging in the graveyard.
Not Wise.
These old threads could be CURSED!!!
Dear Flar,
Its been a long time I have been observing that we lack support for some these similar kind of devices. We have a long cadre of ROM cookers. If we allow intitiatives like this to grow here at XDA, it will be highly paying for them.
Hope you got the idea. Let me know if I need to elaborate it more. Cheers.
Good luck others.

Anyone tried a PP ROM in comparison to one of Xplode's or Helmi's?
Maybe yes Maybe no.

Because create rom is a very difficult thing. Usually create rom need 1.5GB memory. But PP's notebook is very old. Every create rom and test is too slow. He sale rom is change his computer then create more rom for you. ¥40 RMB for one is only a case. Hope everyone understanding.

this is pointless thread, a little clarification: everyone can make roms, everyone can port roms, everything needed is here on the xda-dev forums, the only thing you have to do is read
p.s. the real guru is mamaich, without hes tools it would be almost impossible to make roms
i am not an expert, i learn new things about WM every single day, i was member almost a year to this forums before publish my first rom (which in my opinion was a dizaster) but i improve every day, i read i test and learn

This has got the be the most BIZARRE post I have encountered lately.
PP is not very much a R&D player at all. Kodous to his efforts in putting together ROMs that natively support Chinese. But thats about it:
-All his work is based on findings of XDA-Developers - mamaich, helmi_c, xplode et al.
-AFAIK, he doesnt share any of his findings here or on PDAFANS - the place he posts most of his ROMs.
-He sells his rom for a profit. No matter how the money is used, be it upgrading his laptop or paying his tuition, this practice is not appreciated and in fact ILLEGAL! And he doesnt support his users to upgrade to an new AKU for free.
I am really amazed how this post finds its way here on XDA-Developers where everybody is so contributing and helpful. Meanwhile, I would applause for PP if he can come back to the scene with a more open and contributing mindset.
Happy new year to u all.
PS: There are other players in China who make exellent ROMs based on latest AKU builds, distribute them freely and support them. Those threads are often very active and some have more than 1,000 replies! I believe they should love to share their findings here if they can speak some english as they did on some Chinese forums.
But you always have to pay to unlock a Treo?? I mean, it's made by HTC and has WM Pro...right? So why can't someone figure out how to unlock it like you can with the Wizard, 8525, etc??
????
Man, you need help!
Could you express yourself a little better?
How so? I think it's rather straight forward. I've yet to find a free unlock method for the Treo 750, whereas with other HTC phones (the MDA specifically) there is a free unlock method. Why is that?
Was that expressed better?
How about this..
Free unlocky Treo 750 no worky. Free unlocky other phone worky. Gabba gabba diff dorf.
Excellent

Excellent answer dma1965! lol
Perhaps someone with a reading comprehension higher than 5th grader can explain. Is it a lack of development interest, or something that's hardware/software related? Since there are companies that will charge to unlock the 750, it's evidently doable, so why has no one bothered to hack a free unlock. Or perhaps 750 users aren't as resourceful as Wizard/Hermes users?
I blame global warming. It seems to be the root of many other problems worldwide, so why not? Thoughts?
Once again, fantastic!

Hi Charles -
I'm assuming you mean SIM unlocking...It has to do with the smaller installed based of Treos compared to other HTC devices.
The primary contributors to homebrew unlockers and ROM cooking have devices other than the Treo, and it's rare for them to take the time to dev for devices they don't own.
That said, if there's a large enough group of folks who need a solution, developers with the know-how can be engaged, and many of them will throw some time at it. There's a good chance a modified bootloader for the 750 will be released soon (which will allow for cooked ROMs), however SIM unlocking isn't part of the endeavor.
Hope that answers your question. If not, post up in here. Generally it's a very friendly and generous forum.
PS. for reference, the number of folks here on xda-dev who can dig into ARM assembly deep enough to create a SIM unlocker can be counted on one hand, and they tend to own HTC devices. =)
Thank you!
I figured as much, but wanted to confirm that was the reason. I've had a 650 for 2 years now, so given my interaction with other users, I figured someone would have cooked something up by now. I thought the consumer base was big enough to merit it. Oh well.
Again, thanks for actually taking the time to reply instead of being a douchewank.
So much for any support from iNavCorp! Here is the time line of events which began with the opening of a Service Request with iNavCorp on Thursday, August 28th.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Description of Problem - I have Windows Mobile 6.1 on my AT&T Tilt Pocket PC. iGuidance recognizes my internal GPS, obtains signal lock on satellites without a problem, but does not automatically refresh the map. I know for a fact that this is not an issue between iGuidance and the devices\'s \'built in\' GPS receiver because the GPS Info screen displays in \'real time\' (speed/coordinates etc. all match up with movement and speed of vehicle). It appears to only be an issue with the map display, which will no longer display movement in \'real-time\'. It will capture a given map location and speed, and hold them until the screen is manually refreshed. I am familiar with the \'panning mode\' for the map, and am certain that it is not the issue as I am not viewing the map in panning mode. I see no updates available, other than your recent v4.02 update, which I have applied. The problem still remains. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I am sure there are many others with this identical issue. I have paid good money for navigation software that is at this time, completely useless. I look forward to your prompt response. Sincerely, Jeff Spencer~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...followed by their reply, received late afternoon on Friday, August 29th
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hi Jeff:
iGuidance worked fine w/ the built-in gps in HTC until recently after HTC released their new ROM w/ wm6.1. W/ this new ROM on your Tilt, iGuidance will now only work w/ either an external GPS, or w/ the built-in gps but by using the universal serial port driver provided through a 3rd party program such as GPSGate from www.franson.com instead. If you choose to go w/ the 2nd option, please note that the basic version would be sufficient.
Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Support Team
www.inavcorp.com~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~....and finally my reply to them
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The very reason that I picked up the Tilt was so that I would not be required to carry around additional components.
Thanks for what you ridiculously refer to as support.
To tell you the honest truth, I am now highly dissatisfied with iNavCorp and your product. I would expect at the very least (at least from a reputable company that stands behind it's product) a forthcoming patch, or work with the phone vendor to provide a patch, that would provide a no-cost universal serial port driver to correct the issue with your application. I now see how well you stand behind iGuidance and will invariably sell it off. Furthermore, as a Systems Administrator with [national company name omitted]., I will have no trouble whatsoever going out of my way to disparage your product and use this instance as an example as to just how poor the support is with your company and how inflexible your product is.
Furthermore, as a member of such forums as; GPS Passions, AT&T, and XDA Developers, I fully intend to post both my request for support and your reply, as stated below to each and every one of these forums and strongly urge others to do the same.
Honestly, did you see NVIDIA say "sorry" to Windows customers who had upgraded to Microsoft Vista? I don't think so. Stand behind and support your product, or face the backlash of the consumer.
Sincerely,
Jeff Spencer
Verona~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have made good on my words to iNavCorp. I now urge anyone else as irritated (perhaps mentally disturbed) as I am, to make their voices heard by opening service requests on their own. Sure we can install GPSGate on our devices, or purchase an external GPS receiver, but what kind of response is it from a company to direct customers of their product to do so!! As stated in my reply to them, would NVIDIA have told it's customers "too bad", but you can purchase something else because you chose to upgrade to Windows Vista and now our graphics card won't work as advertised? HELL NO!!!
...okay, time for me to grab a beer and cool off.
Regards,
Spence
Here is an update - iNavCorp's reply to me
Hi Jeff:
Please note that the incompatibility is not between iGuidance and windows mobile OS, but only between iGuidance and the HTC driver. Further, HTC's new ROM was released much later after iGuidance v4 was released, and being a small company, HTC will not be able to work us on our request. Our programmers have been looking at this issue and if a solution may be determined, we will make sure it's included in iGuidance 2009. If not, we will continue to include the incompatiblity w/ HTC on our website as we do now to minimize their inconvenience.
Thank you.
My reply
iNavCorp,
Please excuse my error, it is indeed HTC and not AT&T's hardware, however HTC is far from the small company that you described as "being a small company, HTC will not be able to work us on our request".
HTC makes over 80% of mobile phones running the Windows OS. Please read up on HTC and educate your staff on this 'small company'.
http://www.htcamerica.net/about/default.html
I shall contact HTC and pursue this with them, and ask them why they are too small to work with correcting an issue with your product.
As for my chances of purchasing iGuidance 2009 if you can't support your current product? ...I'd say the chance of that is about as good as my chance at winning a write-in campaign for the 2008 presidential elections.
Thank you for providing me with another opportunity to post and ridicule your poor customer support.
My follow-up reply
I apologize for the terse nature of my prior message. I have just realized that I have mis-understood your comment about being a small company.
I believe the reply you had sent me (below) was worded in such a way that left the impression that you were referring to HTC as a small company.
I have later received a message indicating that you are working on identifying the incompatibility and provide a fix. I appreciate that, I really do, however please don't preach to me about not being able to be 100% compatible. iGuidance 4 was compatible with my AT&T Tilt, and now it is not. As a customer, I do not care, who made what driver change at what point in time. The fact of the matter, as your product, you are obligated to support it. Simply removing every device that changes from your list of compatible products will do little other than shrink your install base and alienate your paying customers.
I thank you for your attention to this issue, and look forward to an agreeable solution.
Jeff Spencer
I'm done for now. I am planning to contact HTC, to make them aware of the issue and ask if they can put one of their support team members in touch with iGuidance, but I've a 5 year old to put down for the night, followed shortly after by myself.
Cheers,
Spence
Thanks cyjeff, I had done that, but hadn't seen anything recent. I must have been too specific in my search. I've checked iNavCorp's site and the now have the issue listed as an incompatibility that they are working on.
**** Note: iGuidance is incompatible w/ the new ROM released by HTC which enabled the internal gps chip. iGuidance will continue to work with an external gps receiver while using PPC6800/Mogul, but in order for iGuidance to work w/ the internal gps, user will need to download/purchase Franson's GPSGate (express or standard version) via http://franson.com/gpsgate/
Well, you can put them in the same boat as the guys from ATT, HTC, Microsoft and a multitude of other software providers that get "help" from the volunteers here.
Good luck getting any kind of real support from iNav. After spending a couple hundred on what they call "updates" which are minor bug fixes, I will never spend a dime on this company. When I purchased version 3, WM6 came out which was incompatible with this version. Instead of releasing a fix, iNav released version 4 which is no different than version 3 (slightly newer map), and charged $80. When I initially had problems with version 4 getting to work, I always got generic email telling me that it was either my phone or the OS i was running.
I am not even sure how many programmers they have. It might be a one person venture under the disguise of "Corp". If they are such a small company, they should not call themselves a Corporation.
actually, v4 is a big step forward w/ TTS. But with a big step backward by taking out the option to cut map.
BTW, where do you get 4.02 update and what's being update/fix in this release?
Did you guys also notice the single post in that thread about the DNS server change that also corrects the problem. There is another thread out there about this as well. If you change your DNS servers to Open DNS, vs using the default that ATT is providing, for whatever reason it fixes the issues w/ iGuidance. I'm still running 3.0.1 but planning on upgrading to 2009 when it's available.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention that, it's the route I went rather than the other options...using Open DNS isn't such a bad idea anyway.
Chris
I agree so much with everything you said. I spent $69.00 on my program about 3 years ago and I'll never give them another dime. Thank God for Joe and if I had it to do over again, I'd buy CO-PILOT LIVE. What a nice looking program that is.
a Campaign proposal..
Touch Elf/Elfin users know verywell that there is a wellkown chief outthere who has cooked great Roms under name TESS, plus some Hard SPLs too..
I propose, all together to buy a new touch 3G Jade for him and invite here to begin to cook Roms w/ WM6.5 and Hard SPL for Jade..
If you all agree, let s find a guy here to organise contributions.
As a matter of fact, what we need is to find at least 50 jade owners and contribute around 10-15 USD or more guys and less pay..
I suggest you speak with htctouchp or dsixda (I'm not sure who you are referring to) first and see if he wants (and has the time) to do this for sure.
AFAIK the Soft and Hard SPL are almost done and are still been tested for the Jade.
way to go for soft/Hard SPL... !!
but it seems that not many people own this device
GO ahead.......
Hi all,
I am verymuch dissapointed;
Amoung 111 reads (consider 80 % is Jade owners) but, unfortunatelly there are only 4 persons commented and approaching possitively. 2 persons have committed...
Let us go on a couple of days more if there will be more commitment for the contribution which will be enuf to purchase a Jade, otherwise we forget it..
If we success to reach the amount required, Then let us find a person- I am not suitable as in these days I live in Turkiye, meaning away from the HTC source markets - who is able to collect donations (maybe by paypal acc.) and to buy a jade cheaper and able to ship or to get shipped to the chief safely..
I hope Global financial crisis is not so deep to prevent all ROM expecting jade owners to donate 10-15 USD..
Awaiting commitments till reaching at around 600 USD ( I think it is enuf together with shipment, is not it?) .....
I found one here less than 500 USD ;
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001FWYXFK/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all
I am joining w/ 15 USD.
To whom has doubt about if there is any available chief or not, pls see here;
I suggest you speak with htctouchp or dsixda (I'm not sure who you are referring to) first and see if he wants (and has the time) to do this for sure.
AFAIK the Soft and Hard SPL are almost done and are still been tested for the Jade.
the same i hear as well!! better we donate to the guys who finally will bring the soft and hard SPL then buying someone a phone for motivation and waiting longer
either way, donate to buy a phone or donate to the one who is willing to bring us a Soft/Hard SPL, my contribution stands.
I agree with your proposal (donate to buy a phone or donate to the one who is willing to bring us a Soft/Hard SPL).
I do need much storage (for the pim.vol) and I don't use Manila!
Please let me know when we can start with the contributions.
I am now much more disapointed..
If we are here more than 4.000 (did I understand correct?) Jade users, why is such a few concern?/
LOL...nope, not 4.000 Jade users, but board users, and unfortunate for us, most can be found in Diamond and Blackstone area...
sas_sas, let's be patient. i'm sure our request has been heard and one day we will have our hard/soft SPL.
If i had the skills i would give it a try myself, but i'm far from that.
Yes, we have to wait... But I'm disappointed about no interest on this device. Every user is charmed by Jade, no other device has so much functions in so small beautiful case, super battery duration and low price... So tell me why there is no leaked ROMs, no HARDSPL... I think, with patched and tuned ROM it will be the best device on the world. Maybe, we can use Cruise09 ROMs and SPL...
Ok, as i understand from this post - we must just donate and request HSPL alltogether.
Im in.
i already ask a part of the olinex team and got a answer that it will be released soon, even should be only a mater of days!! (hope so)
so let's prepare our kitchen and donations and the champaign to celebrate
I have no objection to donate to somebody who will provide us with a nice tool... but I will do it when he does it, not before!
Italy is in, Berlusconi is out, but the kitchen is empty
hi there i'm the biggest ebay wholesaler and dropshipper here in Italy,
this is a commercial proposal to engage a good chief, cause
i'm importing a lot of jade from germany n now my customers
are pushing hard for buying them but something in the air
is suggesting me they will prefer an italian language windows mobile in these HTC Jade T3232
I can hold all the paypal payments from all the jade's owners of this board and simply keep them on my company's business account.
obviously i need to keep in touch with a chief, so please if there is
one reading this thread just contact me and fix a price. I'll post this message as cc on the related thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415880&page=309
After an approval I can :
1) post the price requested for the Soft/Hard SPL and the paypal address of my company for the payments.
2) collect the payments and let the chief start his job
3) receive the job and check personally with an italian shipped rom one of my Jade here in stock. (please provide an italian shipped rom too from the black or blue edition)
4) withdraw the amount to the paypal chief's account, post the Soft/Hard SPL online and send back the difference (if there is) to all the people who
previously were in.
this is my work!
of course I'm in with 15 E and i need this work done very quickly
let me know asap
